Abstract

This study was a descriptive research with the quantitative approach which aimed to describe the academic integrity of the Buddhist college students in Indonesia. This study used 224 students who selected using proportionate cluster sampling. The data were collected using the academic integrity questionnaire with five dimensions, namely honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. The questionnaire consisted of 39 items with a Likert modification scale (four options). The result of this study showed that the academic integrity of Buddhist College students in Indonesia was supported by the fairness dimension. The academic integrity both of male and female college students were supported by the fairness dimension, and neither was based on the department, the academic integrity both of Dharmacarya and Dharmaduta students were supported by the fairness dimension. Generally, the academic integrity of Buddhist college students in Indonesia was supported by the fairness dimension which included fairness form lecturers, fairness in expressing opinions, and transparency of the values in the lecture process. Nevertheless, both the honesty and the trust dimension need to be considered because they got a lower score than the other dimensions.

Abstract

This study was a research and development which aimed to develop an academic anxiety questionnaire for students through content validity and construct validity testing using ADDIE model. This research involved 205 students in the first trial phase and 220 students in the second trial phase. They were selected using the cluster random sampling method. The data were collected using a survey method by distributing the questionnaires using the google form. The results showed that the academic anxiety questionnaire was developed by containing the dimensions of cognitive symptoms, emotional symptoms, and physical symptoms. The coefficient of content validity through the Aiken's V by four experts for each item was more than 0.200, while the reliability was 0.893. The first trial phase showed that eight items dropped through the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Construct Reliability (CR) and Variance Extracted (VE) values ​​for each measurement model were 0.881 and 0.202, while the CR and VE values for the structural model ​​were 0.888 and 0.730. The second trial phase showed that four items dropped with the CR and VE values ​​for the measurement model were 0.873 and 0.213, while the CR and VE values ​​ for the structural model were 0.956 and 0.880. The final academic anxiety questionnaire contains 27 items with a modified Likert scale (four choices).

Abstract

This research was survey research with a quantitative approach that aimed to standardized the academic integrity instruments through the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Rasch Model approaches. The population in this study were all students in universities in Indonesia. The sample used in the study was 452 students (230 students on the first stage and 222 students on the second stage) who were selected using cluster random sampling techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using Gregory analysis (two experts) to obtain the content validity coefficient, factor analysis using the CFA approach, and the Rasch Model. The results showed that the content validity coefficient of the academic integrity instrument was 0,822 (45 items). The results of the CFA analysis according to the first stage trial showed the value of Construct Reliability (CR) and Variance Extracted (VE) for the measurement model was 0,811 and 0,125, while the value of CR and VE for the structural model ​​was 0,940 and 0,763 (six items dropped). The Rasch Model analysis showed one infit item. The results of the CFA analysis according to the second stage trial showed the value of CR and VE for the measurement model was 0,879 and 0,247, while the value of CR and VE for the structural model was 0,950 and 0,918 (one item dropped). The Rasch Model analysis showed all the remaining items in the fit category. The standardized academic integrity instrument consists of 37 statements with dimensions of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen Fraud Diamond dengan dimensi tekanan (pressure), peluang (opportunity), rasionalisasi (rationalization), dan kemampuan (capability) berdasarkan teori yang diusulkan oleh Wolfe dan Hermanson (2004). Responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 230 mahasiswa dari beberapa universitas di Indonesia. Pengembangan instrumen Fraud Diamond dilakukan dengan memperhatikan validitas isi dan validitas konstruk.Validitas isi diuji oleh dua pakar dengan melihat kesesuaian 54 butir pernyataan terhadap indikator yang diwakili menggunakan skala Likert termodifikasi (skala empat) dengan skor 1-4. Pengujian validitas isi menggunakan model Gregory menghasilkan koefisien validitas isi sebesar 0,778, yang menunjukkan bahwa instrumen Fraud Diamond valid secara isi.Validitas konstruk diuji menggunakan analisis faktor dengan pendekatan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 48 butir pernyataan dinyatakan valid, dengan Construct Reliability sebesar 0,7404 dan Variance Extracted sebesar 0,0636 untuk model pengukuran. Untuk model struktural, diperoleh Construct Reliability sebesar 0,952 dan Variance Extracted sebesar 0,832. Dimensi dengan kontribusi tertinggi adalah dimensi tekanan (pressure) dan dimensi rasionalisasi (rationalization).

Abstract

Dalam pengukuran pendidikan, skor yang tidak sesuai harus dideteksi. Skor yang tidak sesuai dapat terjadi pada responden secara individu. Skor yang tidak sesuai menjadi fokus menarik karena informasi tersebut dapat memberikan masukan kepada penguji tentang kondisi peserta tes bahkan lebih dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini fokus pada gambaran ketidaksesuaian nilai calon mahasiswa STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang Banten tahun 2018 pada ulangan dasar-dasar agama Budha. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh calon mahasiswa STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang Banten tahun 2018 sekaligus sebagai sampel. Data penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Itulah tanggapan calon siswa terhadap setiap butir soal tes dasar-dasar agama Buddha. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan metode Donlon-Fisher menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sebanyak 20,93% calon siswa yang mempunyai nilai kurang sesuai dan 79,07% calon siswa mempunyai nilai kurang sesuai.

Abstract

Dhamma merupakan suatu ajaran kebenaran yang diyakini oleh umat Buddha. Keyakinan terhadap ajaran Buddha Dhamma remaja Buddhis di wihara dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh teman sebaya dan aktivitas media sosial pada keyakinan terhadap ajaran Buddha Dhamma remaja Buddhis di Wihara Ariya Dipasena. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Responden penelitian ini adalah 60 orang remaja Buddhis di Wihara Ariya Dipasena. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal, pengaruh kedua variabel independen terhadap dependen bersifar linier, tidak terjadi autokorelasi, serta data penelitian dapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda, Hasil analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda menunjukkan nilai Fhitung = 6,717 dengan probabilitas signifikansi = 0,002. Adapun persamaan regresi linier berganda yang diperoleh yaitu Y = 23,124 + 0,088X1 + 0,161X2. Dukungan yang diberikan oleh variabel teman sebaya dan aktivitas media sosial pada keyakinan terhadap ajaran Buddha Dhamma remaja Buddhis di Wihara Ariya Dipasena sebesar 19,1%. Secara parsial, teman sebaya tidak berpengaruh pada keyakinan terhadap ajaran Buddha Dhamma remaja Buddhis di wihara jika aktivitas media sosial dikendalikan. Aktivitas media sosial tidak berpengaruh pada keyakinan terhadap ajaran Buddha Dhamma remaja Buddhis di Wihara Ariya Dipasena jika teman sebaya dikendalikan.

Abstract

This study was a descriptive study with quantitative approach which aimed to describe the academic integrity of Dharmaduta students on State Buddhist College in Indonesia. The respondents in this study were 37 college students from the Department of Dharmaduta which were selected using cluster random sampling from two state Buddhist Colleges in Indonesia. The data were collected using academic integrity questionnaire with five dimensions, namely honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. The questionnaire consisted of 39 items with Likert modification scale (four options). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result of this study showed that the academic integrity of Dharmaduta department college students on state Buddhist colleges in Indonesia was in the high category. Meanwhile, if viewed according to gender, the academic integrity of male students of the Dharmaduta department at state Buddhist colleges in Indonesia was in the high category, the academic integrity of female students was also in the high category. If viewed according to the dimensions, the dimension which has the highest average score was fairness while the lowest average score was trust.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan integritas akademik calon Dharmaduta yang sedang menempuh pendidikan pada Jurusan Dharmaduta STABN di Indonesia. Responden yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah 37 mahasiswa Jurusan Dharmaduta yang dipilih menggunakan cluster random sampling dari dua STABN di Indonesia. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan angket integritas akademik dengan dimensi kejujuran (honesty), kepercayaan (trust), keadilan (fairness), rasa hormat (respect), dan tanggung jawab (responsibility). Instrumen tersebut memuat 39 butir pernyataan yang setiap butir pernyataan menggunakan skala Likert termodifikasi (skala genap). Keseluruhan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integritas akademik mahasiswa Jurusan Dharmaduta pada STABN di Indonesia berada pada kategori tinggi. Sementara jika ditinjau menurut jenis kelamin, maka integritas akademik mahasiswa laki-laki Jurusan Dharmaduta pada STABN di Indonesia berada pada kategori tinggi, demikian halnya dengan integritas akademik mahasiswa perempuan yang juga berada pada kategori tinggi. Jika ditinjau menurut dimensi, yang memiliki rata-rata skor tertinggi adalah keadilan dan rata-rata skor terendah adalah kepercayaan.

Abstract

Penelitian merupakan penelitian survei korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh fraud diamond terhadap integritas akademik mahasiswa STABN Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 104 mahasiswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih menggunakan disproportionate stratified random sampling dari 132 populasi mahasiswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui penggunaan angket fraud diamond yang terdiri atas 48 butir pernyataan dengan memuat dimensi tekanan (pressure), peluang (opportunity), rasionalisasi (rationalization), dan kemampuan (capability) serta angket integritas yang terdiri atas 39 butir pernyataan dengan memuat dimensi kejujuran (honesty), kepercayaan (tirust), keadilan (fairness), rasa hormat (riespect), dan tanggung jawab (responsibility). Keseluruhan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial masing-masing dimensi fraud diamond berpengaruh negatif terhadap integritas akademik. Demikian halnya secara simultan, dimensi fraud diamond berpengaruh terhadap integritas akademik mahasiswa STABN Sriwijaya sebesar 65,40%, sementara 34,60% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak menjadi fokus di dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research was an ethnographic study with a qualitative approach. It aims to describe siri 'na pacce as a cultural philosophy of the Buginese and Makassarnese to self-regulation of Buddhist students in Makassar. This study involved Buddhist students at the junior and senior high schools in Makassar. The subjects were selected using purposive and snowball throwing methods. The research data were collected by interview, questionnaire distribution, and documentation study. The research data were analyzed with Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive analysis model (data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusions drawing/verification). The results showed that siri' na pacce as a cultural philosophy of the Buginese and Makassarnese had a strong relation to the self-regulation of Buddhist students in Makassar. They had good self-regulation when they had a sufficient understanding of siri' na pacce. It can be seen in the form of (1) avoiding cheating on assignments and answers when carrying out exams and not giving answers when carrying out exams, (2) always maintaining good grades in the learning process, including when doing assignments or taking exams, (3) working hard to get brilliant achievements in school, (4) respecting and respecting teachers and classmates, especially during discussion sessions, greeting teachers politely in the school environment, and obeying the rules set by the school, (5) doing learning activities together without discriminating or being picky and prioritizing togetherness in learning activities, and (6) helping friends who have not mastered the learning material to their abilities, helping friends who experience disaster even though they aren't Buddhist, and learn to put yourself in the shoes of others who are having difficulties or calamity.
