Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN IPA BERBASIS CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP KREATIVITAS SISWA SMPAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis creative problem solving (CPS) terhadap kemampuan kreatif siswa kelas VII SMP di Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi siswa kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Gunungkidul yang masih menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 pada Semester 2 Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Sampel sebanyak tiga sekolah yang ditentukan berdasarkan stratified cluster random sampling, yakni SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari untuk sekolah kategori tinggi, SMP Negeri 1 Semin untuk sekolah kategori sedang, dan SMP Negeri 1 Paliyan untuk sekolah kategori rendah. Penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol pada masing-masing sekolah dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model berbasis CPS dan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning. Variabel Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan kreativitas adalah tes uraian terbuka. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t sample independent. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif pembelajaran IPA berbasis CPS terhadap kemampuan kreativitas siswa.Kata kunci: creative problem solving, discovery learning,kreativitasAbstractThis study was aimed at analyzing the effects of creative problem solving-based learning on the creative abilitIES of seventh-grade students in Gunungkidul. The study used a quasi experimental method with the population of seventh-grade students of the junior high school in Gunungkidul Regency that applied Curriculum 2013 in Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2015/2016. The samples were determined by stratified cluster random sampling including SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari for the high school category, SMP Negeri 1 Semin for the medium school category, and SMP Negeri 1 Paliyan for the low school category. The determination of the experiment and control class in each school was done by cluster random sampling technique. The experimental classeswere given treatment using creative problem solving-based learning while the control classes were given treatment using the discovery learning model. The instrument was an open-ended test used to measure the creativity level of the students. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results show that there was a positive effect of creative problem solving-based learning on students’ creative abilities.Keywords: creative problem solving, discovery learning,students’ creativity

Abstract

The virus called HIV can infect human cells andcause the disease called AIDS. HIV infection is principallythe integration between the DNA of the HIV andthat of the host cell so that the DNA of the HIV undergoesreplication at the time the host cell undergoes fission.The HIV is unable to conduct a metabolism processwithout any host cell. In order to survive, the HIVmakes use of the energy, precursor molecules, and essentialenzymes of the host cell. The competition occurringbetween the HIV and the host cell will result inthe host cell's growth b,eing disturbed. Human cellswhch can be infected by the HIV include the T helperlymphocyte cells, the macrophage cells, and the dendriticcells. The T helper lymphocyte cells play a partin the biosynthetic process of antibodies. The macrophagecells are very useful in the protection of cellsfrom infection caused by a number of pathogenousmicroorganisms as well as toxic chemical substances.The dendritic cells function as the cells providing antigensas well as the cells complementingthe T cytotoxiccells. The three types of cells above are responsible forthe body's immunity system. The occurrence of H V-infection on these cells causes a decline in the humanbody's immunity system and results in AIDS. The contagonof HIV can happen via sexual intercourse (heterosexualor homosexual), blood transfusion, the use ofthe same needle for injections to different persons, andsaliva. Prevention of HTV infection can be done byavoiding the behaviors described above whle for curativetreatment can possibly be done by gving antibioticswhich can hinder the biosynthetic process of thereverse transcriptase enzyme protein and decrease theactivity of the enzymes playing a part in the modificationprocess of a foreign DNA. In social life, ostracismon the IW carrier is not approved because the conta-@on of ttus virus is not via air, the slun, or clothes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh pembelajaran IPA berbasis SETS terhadap cross disciplinary knowledge peserta didik kelas VII SMP di Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi SMP di kota Makassar yang menerapkan Kurikulum 2013. Sampel diambil sebanyak 3 sekolah yang dipilih berdasarkan stratifikasi sekolah dimana SMPN 12 Makassar mewakili sekolah kategori tinggi, SMP Islam Athirah Makassar mewakili sekolah kategori sedang, serta SMPN 3 Makassar mewakili sekolah kategori rendah. Penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol pada masing-masing sekolah dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dengan bentuk soal pilihan majemuk beralasan. Analisis data menggunakan independent sample t- test serta uji U-mann whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada sekolah SMP kategori tinggi dan sedang, capaian cross disciplinary knowledge kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis SETS rata-rata lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran IPA konvensional, sedangkan pada sekolah kategori rendah capaian cross disciplinary knowledge kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol tidak berbeda secara signifikan.Kata kunci: SETS, cross disciplinary knowledge

Abstract

The objective of research were to synthesize polyurethane from  soybean oil, P EG400 and MDI,  to  determine  the  cross  linking,  and  to  learn  the  influence  of  incubation  times toward  degradability  of polyurethane.   Polyurethane   was  synthesized from  soybean  oil and oxydated soybean oil at room temperature followed  by curing for 10 hours at 70 DC,and  than  at  100 "c for 3 hours.  The synthesis  was  conducted  with  mass  compositionSBOI  OSBO  : P EG400  : MDI = 1 : 2  : 3.   Biodegradation   was  conducted  by usingmicroorganism   in  an  actived  sludge   of  malka  medium   at  37°C.    The  variation   of incubation  times were 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 days, respectively  with changes of media every 5 days.  Characterizations   of polyurethane   were functional   groups,  cross  linking, mass loss and biodegradability.  The oxydated soybean  oil has increased intensity of -OR functional   group,  hydroxyl  number,  density,  melting  and  boiling point,  otherwise  the refraction    index   has   decreased.    The   synthesized   polyurethane    has   characteristic absorption  of urethane functional  group and cross link. The increasing of incubation time can  decrease  biodegradability   of polyurethane.   The mass  loss    of polyurethane  from SBO-PEG400-MDI   has  the higher.  Biodegradation   can disappear  urethane  group  and decrease crystallinity  of polyurethane. Key words: biodegradation,  mass loss, crystallinity, polyurethane

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) dan mengetahui (1) kelayakan produk, (2) keefektifan produk untuk meningkatkan scientific literacy, serta (3) keefektifan produk untuk meningkatkan foundational knowledge peserta didik kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wedi Klaten. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan 3 tahap prosedur pengembangan yaitu need assesment, development dan reasearch dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis SETS terdiri atas silabus, RPP, Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD), dan instrumen penilaian otentik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelayakan produk dinyatakan sangat baik dengan rerata skor 4,59 dari rentang 0-5. Semua peserta didik di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan nilai scientific literacy dan foundational knowledge dengan kategori peningkatan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Implementasi produk berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan scientific literacy dan foundational knowledge yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan kemampuan awal yang sama. Dengan demikian, perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis SETS terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan scientific literacy dan foundational knowledge peserta didik kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wedi Klaten. Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran IPA, SETS, scientific literacy, foundational knowledge   DEVELOPING A SETS-BASED SCIENCE TEACHING KIT TO IMPROVE SCIENTIFIC LITERACY AND FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE Abstract This study aims to produce products such as a Science, Environment, Tecnology, and Society-based science teaching kit and to determine (1) the feasibility of the product, (2) the effectiveness of the product to improve scientific literacy, and (3) the effectiveness of the product to improve foundational knowledge for 7th grade students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wedi Klaten.. This study is a Research and Development (R & D) with three phases procedure. They are need assesment, development dan reasearch with noneequivalent control using the control group. A SETS-based science teaching kit covering the syllabus, lesson plans, students worksheet, and authentic assessment instruments. The results showed the feasibility of the products avowed excellent with a mean score of 4,59 out of range 0-5. All students in the experimental class have increased the value of scientific literacy and foundational knowledge with increase category of high, medium, and low. Products implementation have a positive effect on the ability of scientific literacy and foundational knowledge which showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes with the same initial ability. Thus, SETS-based science teaching kit is proven effective to increase scientific literacy and foundational knowledge for 7th grade students in SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wedi Klaten. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate senior high school chemistry teachers ability to develop semester examination materials based on higher-order thinking skills. This kind of research was a survey. A number of respondents were 15 chemistry teachers with 559 questions of semester final examination in year 2013. The used methods was documentation. This research used a document check list as an instrument to collect data. The analyzed data were C1 (remember), C2 (understand), C3 (apply) that included lower order thinking skills (LOTS), C4 (analyze), C5 (evaluate) and C6 (create) which classified to higher order thingking skills (HOTS). The results of the study was senior high school chemistry teachers ability to develop a semester examination material based on higher order thinking skills is 13,9%, which consists of C4 13.2%; C5 0.7% and C6 0.0%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran kimia untuk memecahkan masalah pembelajaran sehingga menjadi media yang menarik dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik serta menguji kelayakan produk multimedia pembelajaran kimia. Pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran kimia ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu identifikasi, desain pembelajaran, mengembangkan produk, evaluasi produk, dan implementasi. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian berjumlah 44 peserta didik, yang terdiri dari 4 orang peserta didik untuk uji coba perorangan, 8 orang peserta didik untuk uji coba kelompok kecil, dan 32 orang peserta didik untuk uji coba kelompok besar. Data hasil uji coba dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk multimedia pembelajaran hasil pengembangan, termasuk dalam kategori baik. Demikian juga ahli media menilai kualitas multimedia baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka produk multimedia pembelajaran hasil pengembangan layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of science teaching based on project-based learning to improve ICT literacy learners in the junior high school with the category of high, medium and low. This research uses descriptive method to describe the students’ equipness of ICT literacy in the science learning based on the project-based learning that is integrated with e-learning. All of the population in this study are junior high school of curriculum pilot project in 2013 in Singkawang. The sampling in this study uses stratified random sampling to determine three of the four schools that represent the school with a category of high, medium and low based on the National Examination score on 2015, namely, SMPN 1 Singkawang, SMPN 3 Singkawang, and SMPN 7 Singkawang and from each school are randomly selected one class. The data collection is done by the observation and questionnaires of the students’ equipness in ICT literacy with effective criteria only if it is in a good or excellent criteria. Based on the analysis, project-based learning science-based learning is effective in equipping ICT literacy learners at junior high school  at the categories of high, medium and low.

Abstract

Assessment of practicum plays an essential role in gaining knowledge and skill. Because practical work is an essential component of science courses, there were need to develop new instruments to examine practicum skill. To gain the purpose, Research and Development method used, Borg and Gall's model was adopted in this research. Observation sheets were used to obtain data. The qualitative data analysis technique was used to make coding. The data were described using descriptive statistics. It was used to determine the ability of students to practice in general, purposive sampling technique used for data collection. Products of practical’s skills assessment contain four aspects, fifteen indicators, and four criteria. The product was validated by two expert judges, shortcomings and grammatical mistakes were revised. In the separation of trimyristin, mostly student practicum skill was "good" while few students’ skills were "very good" and few other students earned “sufficient” none of them got “poor” and “very poor”. In each aspect of practicum skills “very good” in drawing, experimental and observations skills were “good” while reporting and interpretive skills were “sufficient”. For further dissemination, the reliability test can be done by using inter-rater reliability test to make the product more efficient and applicable.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop product in the form of a Tumpe Ritual Game for Class VII junior high school students. The research used the research and developement (R & D) method developed by Thiagarajan. The research refers to the 4D model: define, design, develop and disseminate. The result of the study indicates that learning media developed is valid or meet the eligibility criteria. The feasibility category obtained from media experts and also the teacher is highly valid. The implementation of learning media in the classroom can increase students' active participation so that it has an impact on improving critical thinking skill. Gain scores obtained at the pre-test and post-test in the experimental class showed significant differences. The  gain score of experimental class was 0.67 and the control class was 0.54 with the medium category. The effectiveness of learning was done by Manova test with the acquisition of sig values. amounting to 0,000 (<0.05). These condition indicated that the media developed was valid, practical and effective to be used in the process of learning science in class VII SMP.
