Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of the research  were to find out: (1) which one providing better mathematics learning achievement, NHT, GI or direct learning model, (2) which one having better mathematics learning achievement, students with climbers, campers or quitters AQ, (3) in each learning models (NHT, GI and direct) which one providing better mathematics learning achievement, climbers, campers or quitters AQ, (4) in each student AQ (climbers, campers, and quitters) which one providing better mathematics learning achievement, NHT, GI or direct learning  model.This study was a quasi-experimental research. The research design used was a 3x3 factorial design. The population of research was all VII graders of Junior High Schools throughout West Tulang Bawang Regency in the school year of 2014/2015. Meanwhile the sample was taken using stratified cluster random sampling. The sample consisted of 281 students: 93 students for experiment I class, 93 for experiment II class and 95 for control class. The instruments used to collect the data were learning AQ questionnaire and  mathematics learning achievement test. From the result of research, it could be concluded as follows: (1) NHT learning model provided mathematics learning achievement better than GI learning model and direct learning model, GI learning model provided mathematics learning achievement better than direct learning model. (2) The learning achievement of the students with climbers AQ was better than that of those with campers and quitters AQ, and the learning achievement of the students with campers AQ was better than that of those with quitters AQ. (3) In NHT learning model, students with climbers and campers AQ had the same achievement, students with climbers  and campers AQ had better achievement than students with quitters AQ; qqqin GI learning model, students with climbers and campers AQ had the same achievement, students with climbers AQ categories had better achievement than students with quitters AQ, students with campers and quitters AQ had the same achievement; in direct learning model, students with climbers, campers and quitters AQ had the same achievement. (4) In climbers AQ, NHT learning modelqqq gave the same achievement as GI learning model, NHT learning model gave better achievement than in direct learning model, GI learning model gave the same achievement as direct learning model; in campers AQ, NHT learning model gave the same achievement as GI learning model, NHT learning model gave better achievement than in direct learning model, GI learning model gave the same achievement as direct learning model; in quitters AQ, NHT, GI and direct learning model gave the same achievement. Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development) yang terfokus pada pengembangan bahan ajar mata kuliah Kalkulkus II yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran mahasiswa. Secara garis besar, model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahapan, yaitu tahap pendahuluan, pengembangan dan evaluasi. Dari hasil analisis validasi modul diperoleh 91,83 dengan kategori baik. Uji coba skala kecil diperoleh 40,7 dengan kategori baik. Hasil analisis kepraktisan bahan ajar selama empat kali pertemuan diperoleh rerata skor 26,5 dari skor ideal 30 atau 88,33 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis keefektifan rata-rata skor profil mengajar dosen sebesar 53,25 dari skor ideal 56 atau 95,09% dengan kategori sangat baik. Rata-rata skor profil aktivitas belajar mahasiswa sebesar 47,25 dari skor ideal 56 atau 90,87% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dari analisis hasil tes kemampuan penalaran matematika diperoleh rata-rata total kemampuan penalaran matematika adalah 0,60 dengan kategori sedang, yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar mata kuliah kalkulus II materi integral dengan pendekatan ilmiah (scientific approach) berbantuan software Maple dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran mahasiswa secara efektif.

Abstract

Mayoritas masyarakat di Desa Pemberwarno bermata pencaharian sebagai petani, baik sebagai petani jagung, ubi kayu, dan padi. Harga panen yang tidak stabil cenderung membuat masyarakat kecewa karena tidak jarang memenuhi harga yang tidak sesuai ekspektasi. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat harus jeli dalam mengantisipasi hasil panen yang tidak memuaskan salah satunya dengan mengolah limbah tanaman untuk dimanfaatkan menjadi penghasilan tambahan. Limbah jagung misalnya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembuatan jamur janggel. Jagung biasanya dijual setelah melalui proses penggilingan hingga biji jagung terlepas dari tongkolnya. Setelah itu tongkol jagung atau biasa disebut janggel digunakan sebagai bahan bakar untuk memasak secara tradisional dan dibuang begitu saja tanpa ada gunanya. Oleh karena itu tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pembinaan kepada masyarakat agar memperoleh nilai tambah pendapatan melalui pemanfaatan tongkol jagung sebagai media pembuatan jamur janggel. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan peningkatan penjualan jamur jejel yang cukup besar dengan harga perkilogram mencapai 35 ribu hingga 40 ribu rupiah. Untuk pemasarannya masih sebatas pasar tradisional.Training on the Utilization of Corn Cobs as Media for Making Janggel Mushrooms in the village ofgantiwarno, East LampungAbstractMajority of the people in Pemberwarno village livelihood as farmers, both as corn, cassava, and rice farmers. Unstable harvest prices tend to make people disappointed because it is not uncommon to meet prices that do not match expectations. Therefore, the public must be smart in anticipating unsatisfactory crops one of them by treating crop waste to be utilized to be additional income. Corn waste, for example, can be used as a medium for making mushroom janggel. Corn is usually sold after going through the milling process until the seeds of corn are separated from the cobs. After that corncobs or commonly called janggel used as fuel for cooking traditionally and just thrown away without any use. Therefore, the purpose of this dedication is to provide training to the public in order to obtain value-added income through the utilization of corncob as a medium for making mushroom janggel. The results obtained indicate a considerable increase of sales of mushrooms jejel with perkilogram prices reached 35 thousand to 40 thousand dollars. For marketing is still limited to traditional markets.

Abstract

Teacher-students interaction is one of the most important interactions in learning. Teacher-students interaction affects student understanding.However, in practice, there are still many lessons that have not applied teacher-students interaction properly.This study aimed to reveal teacher-student interaction in the mathematics learning process that affects students’ mathematical understanding.This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach.Theresearch subjects were eighth-grade junior high school students. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation.Observations were conducted in the eighth grade and interviews were conducted with six students from the class. The students were interviewed to express their opinions concerning learning process interactions. The results of this study showed that teacher-student interaction has affected students’ mathematical understanding consists of: 1) The teacher transfers the material-the students attend to the material; 2) Question-answer amid teacher-students; 3) The teacher makes interesting learning strategies-students are actively involved in learning; 4) Teachers give awards-students receive awards.

Abstract

This service aims to provide training in utilizing flannel as a prop for early childhood. The method used in this service is First, Strengthening knowledge about the importance of learning media and their use in learning activities. Provide insight into learning media appropriate for early childhood.  Second, the introduction of learning media that can be applied in the classroom, and finally training on making educational props made of flannel along with the determination of learning steps in the classroom carried out by the entire service team and service participants.  The result of this service is that participants succeeded in making a busy book with the theme of knowing numbers, recognizing letters, and counting which is included in the excellent category.   Keywords: Bussy book, flannel, props

Abstract

Berdasar hasil Pra Survey yang dilaksanakan di SMK Tuma’ninah Yasin Metro diperoleh informasi bahwa siswa kurang aktif selama pembelajaran serta hasil belajar siswa masih relatif rendah. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini digunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMK Tuma’ninah Yasin Metro semester genap tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Jumlah siswa kelas X adalah 11 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis berupa soal tes dalam bentuk uraian untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi untuk mengukur aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siklus, setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Aktivitas belajar siswa diamati dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMK Tuma’ninah Yasin Metro. 2) Pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata dari 27,5% siklus I menjadi 54,54% pada siklus II dan menjadi 81,81% pada siklus III.
