Abstract

This research was started with making a catalyst of CuO/ZnO/ZSM-5 with copresipitation method which using nitrate salts of Cu and Zn at buffer of zeolite ZSM-5 with loading (weight CuO and ZnO into their buffer) 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and the pure of ZSM-5. The product of catalyst is then activated tested by hydrogenation reaction, where CO2 gas become the methanol by reacting of CO2 dan H2 into unggun reaction in operation condition: the pressure of 25 bar, with temperature at 250ºC, feeding ratio CO2/H2 = 1 : 3. The making catalyst of CuO/ZnO/ natural zeolite each with impregnation method and physical mixing at the best loading in the result of activities test from all of catalyst CuO/ZnO/ZSM-5 by the results of preparation of copresipitation methods. The result of catalyst test indicate that the methanol (CH3OH) can be made of the main feeding of CO2 and H2 gas with catalyst of CuO/ZnO/ZSM-5 and catalyst of CuO/ZnO/ natural zeolite from the result of copresipitate preparation, impregnation and physical mixing. The test of CuO/ZnO/ZSM-5 catalyst resulting of preparation copresipitation indicate that catalyst with loading 30% yielding methanol (0.1359%). The method of copresipitation is the best among the other methods. We also obtained the buffer of natural zeolite from Malang can also give yield of methanol product although it’s not as high as with buffer of ZSM-5. The cracking reaction of oil palm using a natural zeolite toproduce gasoline fraction of hydrocarbon compound in fixed bed reactor in atmospheric pressure and the temperature at 350-500ºC. The natural zeolite with addition of B2O3 0-20% is used as catalyst with variabel temperature, type of feeding and B2O3 addition. The characteristic for seeing the surface area with BET method and crystalization of B2O3 with XRD method. Addition of B2O3 optimum of 5% gave the yield 52.3% for feeding POME and 38% oil palm and methanol.

Abstract

The phenomenon of plunging jet gas-liquid contact occurs quite often in nature, its momentum carries small air bubbles with it into the reactor medium. The momentum of the liquid stream can be sufficient to carry small bubbles completely to the bottom of the vessel. A stream of liquid falling toward a level surface of that liquid will pull the surrounding air along with it. It will indent the surface of the liquid to form a trumpet-like shape. If the velocity of the stream is high enough, air bubbles will be pulled down, i.e. entrained into the liquid. This happens for two main reasons: air that is trapped between the edge of the falling stream and the trumpet-shaped surface profile and is carried below the surface. This study investigates the potential of a vertical liquid plunging jet for a pollutant contained gas absorption technique. The absorber consists of liquid jet and gas bubble dispersed phase. The effects of operating variables such as liquid flowrate, nozzle diameter, separator pressure, etc. on gas entrainment and holdup were investigated. The mass transfer of the system is governed by the hydrodynamics of the system. Therefore a clear and precise understanding of the above is necessary : to characterize liquid and gas flow within the system, 2. Variation in velocity of the jet with the use of different nozzle diameters and flow rates, 3. Relationship between the liquid and entrained airflow rate, 4. Gas entrainment rate and gas void fraction.

Abstract

For the last decade, the popularity and the imagery of Sedulur Sikep identity attribution on mass media rose and changed significantly, triggered by their involvement on a movement against cement factory plan in Kendeng, Central Java. Even so, some of the sikeps themselves claimed their absence and dissagrement on the movement. Thus, this anthropological study aims an explanation on how this situation led them to recognize the value of “being sikep” and how it affected sikep or the ‘on behalf of’ sikep movement in perceive and practice the conception of environment and its ecological issue. The paradigm shifting of ecology aspect on their cultural identity then tried to be mapped by looking on their ecological knowledge, the adaptability, and the power on controlling visibility space as a product of “nature” and “nurture”. Subsequently, it was found later that the disunity caused by their own personal experience on defining the reciprocity bond between their identity as peasant and the nature resources. The aftermath; dynamism and stagnancy then could be seen as their alter adaptation method, relying on how their belief conceive the ecological dispute and resistance towards the living space of Sedulur Sikep itself.

Abstract

This research was aimed to (1) Know how identity politics of Papua indigenious ethnics of Papua contested to seize structural positions of the OPD (Regional Apparatus Organization) in the governmental organization (2) Know identity politics of Papua indigenous ethnics collaborated with identity politics of non-Papuan ethnics in filling structural position of the OPD in the governmental bureaucracy. The research method used was qualitative i.e. describe, record, analyze, interpret conditions occur today. While data gathering used an observation technique, photos and also interview technique. The research results showed (1) Identity politics practice implemented in the governmental bureaucracy shown along with the existence of dominance of office chief, secretary, structural position and also office with much financial were mostly dominated by MT ethnics. MT ethnics marginalized other Papuan ethnics in positions of office chief, agency, district, secretary, structural position. From the process of marginalized Papuan ethnics were affected by ethnics egoism from village, clans, family, one ethnic and other Papuan ethnics emerge other Papuan ethnics prefer non-Papuan ethnics to collaborate in power in the governmental bureaucrcy. Various powers in the filling of the OPD structural positions in the governmental bureaucracy. The bureaucracy of Papuan governmental bureaucracy was still thick with a cultural primordial, familism, tribalism and margaism. The purpose of ethnics identity politics applied in the governmental bureaucracy include to dominate economic resources that are much such as:  Otsus Fund, APBD, PAD, DAK, DAU, governmental projects and programs for self ethnic interest and political groups in the governmental bureaucracy. (2) The filling of the OPD structural position of the governmental bureaucracy. The whole of position percentage data result available in filling the OPD structural position of the governmental bureaucracy, MT ethnics dominate all of positions available. And is followed by non-Papuan ethnics  (BS, BN, MR, AN, and TA) that collaborated with MT ethnics in seizing number one and number two chairs in the governmental bureaucracy. Team baperjakat has selected officers who are skilled, good career, professional suitable with country’s civil apparatus. However, all decision to promote officials in the OPD structural position, that guard ethnic contestation in the governmental bureaucracy, in overall policy based on number one and number two persons in the governmental bureaucracy. The purpose of collaboration was to dominate jointly economics resources that are much in the governemntal bureaucracy such as: Otsus Fund, APBD, PAD, DAK, DAU, governmental projects and programs for ther ethnic’s interest and their politics group interest.

Abstract

Over the past decade, a shift has occurred in the Sedulur Sikep community’s attitude since the increase in its popularity and coverage in the mass media following its involvement in the anti-cement movement in Central Java. However, not all members of Sedulur Sikep participate in or even approve of this movement. This anthropological study attempts to illustrate how this situation has pushed the Sikep community members to (re)recognize their values, the influence of these values on environmental discourse, and how the relations between them are understood and practiced by Sedulur Sikep and the movement fighting in its name. By examining the adaptability of ecological knowledge and the ordering of visible space as a result of complex interactions between nature and nurture, it is possible to examine the shifts in their understanding of environmental dynamics and their cultural identity. The ‘fragmentation’ that has occurred is rooted in different understandings of the reciprocal bonds between the Sedulur Sikep’s tani mligi identity and natural resources. The dynamics and stagnation seen in how Sedulur Sikep positions itself in relation to cement production is also apparent in various methods of (re)interpretation, particularly regarding the relevance of Sedulur Sikep’s beliefs to its ecological contestation and struggle for living space.

Abstract

Conditional cash transfers in Indonesia is better known as the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH). This program offers aid to poor members of society and is intended to break the poverty cycle through education and healthcare. This aid is granted continuously, with certain conditions that must be met by recipients. The question is to what extent usage patterns are linked to the program's conditioning and its social function for recipients, and how local contexts influence the program's institutional and functional conditioning. This conditioning and usage patterns cannot be separated from the social, ecological, and economic conditions of the local community. After making the desire changes to social welfare, this aid has other effects, particularly as related to social aspects. These involve the usage patterns and strategies of aid recipients in adapting the aid programs implemented by the government for community members who live in poverty. As such, this article is hoped to provide a better understanding and ease interpretation of the topic. Data for this research was collected from four villages in East Nusa Tenggara using qualitative methods (observation, interviews, FGDs) and an MSC approach.
