Abstract

A leader must be able to influence his subordinates to carry out tasks that were ordered without coercion so that subordinates voluntarily will behave and perform according to the demands of the Organization through its directives. A leader must be able to influence his subordinates to carry out tasks that were ordered without coercion so that subordinates voluntarily will behave and perform according to the demands of the Organization through its directives. Transformational and Transactional leadership is developed based on Maslow's opinion about the levels of human needs. In a variety of Transformational and Transactional leadership study found to have close links with job satisfaction, which in turn will improve employees performance themselves. In this study used is the conclusive research on the study of experimental or causal research. Retrieval technique of sampling used is non probability sampling. The type of method used is the purposive sampling. The sample used was 150 employees of PT Multi Tohitindo Craft. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The technique used is the analysis of structural equation models with the help of Amos programs.

Abstract

This research was aimed to access the quality of non printed learning materials especially video as a supplement for learning modules offered by undergraduate study program of early childhood education (PGPAUD). Data were collected by using questionnaire with 86 closed-ended questions and one open-ended question. Students in their third, forth, and fifth semester from Jakarta, Serang, and Bandung were taken as samples. Among 90 questionnaires distributed, about 69 (76.67%) were returned. Descriptive analysis was employed in this research. It was concluded that the technical quality of the Video Program including sounds, colors, packaging, duration, captions, utilization, and documentation, were good. The quality of instruction in that video was good as well. In addition, the Video Program has high quality content. The respondents also agreed that the Video Program was useful for them as kindergarten teachers. However it was stated that the Video Program was only a little helps in doing their course examination. Meanwhile, the average students score for this subject is B and C.

Abstract

Playing block activity aimed at developing child’s physical and motor skills in block building which come from cognitive skill which is used for thinking how to build desired building by placing some blocks horizontally and vertically. In playing block some other child’s skills will also developed. To maximize cognitive development of the children, scaffolding is needed. This activity helping children to broaden view, stimulate, and motivate children to play blocks in their best. However, the scaffolding should be in the right content and ways. For this matter, a research and development is necessary. The research is preceded by an action reserach which is aimed at looking for teachers’ best practices in giving scaffolding to children before, when, and after playing block. An outstanding kindergarten in South Tangerang, Banten Province, had been taken for the place of doing the classroom action research. As the result, the researchers together with the teachers had succesfully formulated the best way to give scaffolding to children that is by telling them a story about the building they are going to build and it is completed by giving them pictures or photos, or movies about the kind of building. However, too many angles of the building showing by the film, will make the children confuse and will reducing their quality of buildings. The last step was to tried-out this founding to another kindergarten in Bandung, West Java, and the teachers in that school were satisfied with the result.

Abstract

Many challenges must be faced by thr GOI in developing the program, nowadays the Govemment of lndonesia (G01) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department has been enhancing early childhood education programs for 0 to 8 year old children. The major challenges are children access to early childhood education services and quality of early childhood education programs. Considering the challenges, The United States Agency for Intemational Development (USAID) in partnership with Indonesia's Ministry of National Education is currently implementing a small scale interactive audio instruction (1AI) pilot program targeting 5-6 year olds and their teachers in seven provinces. The program can simultaneously lead acfivities to kindergarten children and teachers as well as train the teachers, who don't have early childhood education background, and how to create high qualityactivities for children. Because of its' simple technology, the program can be applied in various Indonesia district condition, This paper explores the potential role a simple technology can play in assisting the government meet its early childhood education goals and discusses whether something as commonplace as a CD player or radio, when coupled with a proven education methodology, could present a cost effective way to achieving quality at scale.
