Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Adaptasi Kurikulum Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Co-ordinated Sciences terhadap Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) pada Pembelajaran Pokok Bahasan Sistem Koloid di RSBI” dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 25 siswa-siswi kelas XI di SMA RSBI di Kota Bandung. Dari hasil analisis kurikulum diperoleh faktor X yang dapat diadaptasi yaitu mengapresiasi tujuan digunakannya pengemulsi dan mengerti aksi dari pengemulsi. Untuk mengadaptasi faktor X ini digunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual (CTL) terutama diberikan pada tahap elaborasi pada langkah pembelajaran CTL. Dari hasil pembelajaran diperoleh pemahaman konsep siswa setiap indikator pembelajaran pada materi sistem koloid mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai N-gain 0,685 dan berada pada kategori sedang. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep yang berhubungan dengan faktor X mengalami peningkatan pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai N-Gain rata-ratanya 0,752. Peningkatan paling signifikan terlihat pada konsep jenis-jenis koloid, peranan koloid dalam kehidupan dan mengapresiasi tujuan digunakannya pengemulsi yaitu dengan N-gain masing-masing 0,921, 0,797 dan 0,779 yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan peningkatan pemahaman paling rendah terlihat pada konsep pembuatan koloid dengan N-gain 0,145. Tanggapan siswa pada umumnya memberikan respon positif pada pembelajaran sistem koloid ini. Kata Kunci : Adaptasi, Kurikulum Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Science, KTSP, Pembelajaran Sistem Koloid, RSBI

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian aktivitas antioksidan kulit pisang raja bulu (Musa paradisiaca L. var sapientum) beserta produk olahannya berupa tepung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik pengeringan dalam pengolahan tepung kulit pisang dengan teknik yang berbeda, yaitu sinar matahari, freeze dryer, dan oven terhadap aktivitas antioksidan. Kulit pisang diekstraksi dengan cara maserasi dengan menggunakan metanol selama 1x24 jam. Kandungan metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada kulit pisang adalah flavonoid, terpenoid, dan tanin. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak kulit pisang dan tepung dianalisis dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazin) dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak kulit pisang adalah 97,85%. Aktivitas antioksidan setelah dilakukan pengolahan menjadi tepung terjadi penurunan, yaitu 62,77% untuk teknik sinar matahari, 88,31% untuk freeze dryer, dan 72,92% untuk oven. Teknik pengeringan dalam pembuatan tepung kulit pisang tidak mempengaruhi kandungan metabolit sekunder namun mempengaruhi aktivitas antioksidan dengan terjadi penurunan. Teknik pengeringan dalam pembuatan tepung yang dapat mempertahankan aktivitas antioksidan adalah dengan teknik freeze dreyer. Kata kunci : antioksidan, kulit pisang, tepung, teknik pengeringan, DPPH

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian aktivitas antioksidan produk olahan buah jambu biji merah berupa selai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan buah jambu biji merah setelah diolah menjadi selai yang dibuat dengan variasi waktu dan suhu pemanasan yang berbeda. Buah jambu biji merah diekstraksi dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol selama 24 jam. Uji fitokimia dilakukan dengan uji warna. Aktivitas antioksidan selai dianalisis dengan metode DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazyl) dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer Visible. Hasil uji fitokimia menujukkan bahwa golongan senyawa metabolit sekunder dalam buah jambu biji merah segar dan produk olahan selai yaitu flavanoid, terpenoid, dan tanin. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh data aktivitas antioksidan produk olahan selai yang dibuat dengan variabel suhu dan waktu pemanasan berbeda yang semakin menurun dari rentang 96,73 % – 82,04 %. Kata kunci : Jambu biji merah, selai, fitokimia, antioksidan, DPPH

Abstract

Based on a problem that is often found that the appearance of lack of originality of research because students are not able to think of research, which is shown in a preliminary study.Based on these problems, researchers developed teaching materials to reconstruct RL context zeolite based PSDM. The instrument was a questionnaire response experts to determine the feasibility of the cognitive level of the student materials in accordance with the character of the curriculum in 2013. The characteristics of instructional materials: 1) was developed in accordanceaspect PSDM attitude Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), 2) the context ofthe lecture corresponding zeolite mineral chemistry issues, 3) content according to the level of cognitive student accesible criteria, 4) Perspective students to the concept of material through interviews. Interviews showed> 80% of the students have any preconceptions about the meaning of the scientific method and thinking research. Therefore, the insertion of material thought PSDM based research on teaching materials need to be raised. Validation / CVR obtain the Value 0.76, and CVI c(0,76) > CVI t(0,68) showed very appropriate instructional materials used.

Abstract

The STEM is an interdisciplinary approach provided learning atmosphere where students can use science, technology, engineering and math in daily life. The aim of the STEM is educating the students to be STEM Literate. This research goal was to implement STEM learning on electricity using Arduino-Android Game based experiment to 8th-grade students. STEM Learning was chosen as an approach in this research by the consideration that it was developed through Android Game, YWRobot, and Arduino Uno experiment lesson plan and worksheet. The analysis of this research was focused on the effect of STEM learning implementation through lesson plan and worksheet to 8th-grade students’ STEM Literacy on electricity topic. The method used in this research was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The data of this research was obtained from the STEM Literacy objective test (pretest and posttest) based on Allan Zollman. Then the data were analyzed based on each aspect of STEM Literacy such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The result shows that the value of  from students’ STEM Literacy pretest-posttest are -0.06, -0.12, -0.06, -0.87 for science, technology, engineering and mathematics literacy respectively. The result implies that STEM Learning implementation was less optimal to improve science, mathematics, technology and engineering literacy. The reason was because STEM Learning implementation was not implement in continuously. Therefore, science, technology, engineering, and technology literacy regarding electricity topic are emphasized less optimally.

Abstract

Based on PISA 2018 result, the science achievement of Indonesian students was below average. Some factors influence students' achievement in learning science, such as motivation, emotion regulation, self-efficacy, and school system. This study investigates students' self-efficacy in learning science in different school systems. The present investigation aims to discover students' self-efficacy levels in public and private schools. By looking at students' self-efficacy levels, this study determines its correlation with science achievement. There were 170 public school students and 107 private school students in Bandung City involved in the study. This study employed a correlational research design to determine the correlation between two variables. The correlation analysis was done in each school. Thus, Spearman-rank correlational analysis was used to investigate the correlation between the two variables in three public schools and two private schools. Also, Person-correlational analysis was used for the other private school. The results show that students' self-efficacy in public and private schools was in the medium levels. Seventy-eight point eight public-school students and 76.6% of private school students were classified at the medium level. However, there was no correlation between students' self-efficacy and their achievement in learning science both in public and private schools.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to profile the relationship of scientific attitude level and learning style preference among junior high school students in Bandung. This study utilized a survey research design with a total sample size of 110 students. A scientific attitude questionnaire and a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (VAK) learning style inventory were administered in this study. The questionnaire measures five aspects of scientific attitude, specifically rationality, curiosity, open-mindedness, aversion to superstition, and objectivity. The VAK learning style inventory evaluates the preferred means of receiving sensory information. The scientific attitude questionnaire provided consistent results, as indicated by its reliability coefficient (0.896). The results show that junior high school students have an average level of scientific attitude and generally prefer a kinesthetic learning style.  There was a medium relationship between scientific attitude and learning style among the students (Cramer’s V coefficient = 0.239).  It is concluded that learning style must be considered in implementing a science lesson, especially in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Manganese (III) salen complexes have been reported as epoxidation catalysts. It is caused a major breakthrough in the enantioselective epoxidation of alkenes into epoxide compounds. This catalyst was synthesized from salicylaldehyde derivatives. Based on the structure, salicylaldehyde is an isosteric nature of 7-folmylindole, consequently opened the door to an array of fascinating and versatile ligand systems, and offer tremendous scope for molecular designe, because of the greatly enhanced capacity for substitution of indoles compared with phenols. Initial target of the project to synthesize of 7-formylindole. There are numerous strategies and methodes to achieve the target molecules. Further study of reaction mechanism of a useful target compound could be explanated and developed as a new class of catalyst.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Praktikum (LKP) titrasi asam basa berbasis inkuiri laboratorium pada peserta didik program keahlian Farmasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi kesesuaian LKP dengan metode inkuiri laboratorium, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan kegiatan dan kuesioner tanggapan guru dan peserta didik. Lembar kerja yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh empat orang ahli dan dilakukan uji praktikalitas pada 34 orang siswa SMK Farmasi di Sumedang. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa LKP yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas sangat tinggi. Praktikalitas LKP sangat baik yaitu 95% pada kegiatan guru dan 86% pada kegiatan siswa. Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap LKP berbasis inkuiri laboratorium yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil dari kuesioner. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran aktif di laboratorium yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta didik.
