Abstract

One of the important things in university management is the selection process for new students. Management of new student admissions needs to be planned, communicated, and implemented properly to obtain new students who meet the quantity and quality targets. The selection process for new students must follow the rules contained in Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education in Indonesia. This study aims to develop a model for evaluating the new student selection portal that has been developed at Tarumanagara University under the name Go Untar, where the implementation refers to Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020. Go Untar has been used as a communication portal and selection of prospective new students since 2020. The method used in this study refers to the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) model developed by Davis, 1985 and combined with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT) by Venkatesh et.al., 2003, to obtain a combination model to evaluate Go Untar. The results shows that the TAM API 2021 model, which was developed from the modification of the two TAM models above, can be used to analyze the effectiveness and convenience of Go Untar in the selection process for new students at Tarumanagara University. The results of the model application to evaluate Go Untar application show that Go Untar application is useful for registering new students quickly and effectively, as well as able to see accurate selection results. Go Untar is easily accessible and can be used properly as a medium of communication and selection of new students, starting from account creation, data entry process, selection, and real time selection results. Go Untar is effective in facilitating digital communication between prospective new students and administrators. The results of this study will be a reference in further development. Salah satu hal penting dalam pengelolaan perguruan tinggi adalah proses penerimaan mahasiswa baru. Pengelolaan penerimaan mahasiswa baru perlu direncanakan, dikomunikasikan dan dilaksanakan dengan baik, sehingga memperoleh mahasiswa baru yang memenuhi target kuantitas dan kualitas. Proses seleksi mahasiswa baru harus mengikuti aturan yang ada dalam Permendikbud No. 3 Tahun 2020 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model untuk mengevaluasi portal seleksi mahasiswa baru yang telah dikembangkan di Universitas Tarumanagara dengan nama Go Untar, dimana implementasinya merujuk pada Permendikbud No. 3 Tahun 2020. Go Untar telah digunakan sebagai portal komunikasi dan seleksi calon mahasiswa baru sejak tahun 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merujuk pada Model TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) yang dikembangkan oleh Davis, 1985 dan dikombainasikan dengan model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) oleh Venkatesh et.al., 2003, sehingga diperoleh model kombinasi untuk mengevaluasi Go Untar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model TAM API 2021 yang dikembangkan dari modifikasi dua model TAM di atas, dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis keefektifan dan kemudahana Go Untar dalam proses seleksi mahasiswa baru di Universitas Tarumanagara. Hasil aplikasi model yang telah dikembangkan untuk mengevaluasi aplikasi Go Untar menunjukan bahwa aplikasi Go Untar yang telah dikembangkan bermanfaat untuk melakukan registrasi dengan cepat, efektif, dan dapat melihat hasil yang akurat. Go Untar mudah diakses dan dapat digunakan dengan baik sebagai media komunikasi dan seleksi mahasiswa baru, mulai dari pembuatan akun, proses pengisian data, seleksi dan hasil seleksi yang real time. Hal ini sangat bermanfaat bagi calon mahasiswa baru dan admin untuk berkomunikasi secara digital. Hasil penelitian ini akan menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan selanjutnya.

Abstract

Micro entrepreneurship in several districts and municipalities has been growing rapidly. The progress of this micro entrepreneurship can be achieved because of the efforts of the micro entrepreneurship and the strength of the entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship needs a sustainable system so that the micro business can be stronger and more developed. The development of the micro entrepreneurship also depends on the role and the partiality of its local government which is influenced by the leadership style of the local government itself. This study is conducted to identify the impact of the leadership style of local government, to develop the characteristic and style of leadership role in local government, and to comprehend the leadership communication within the set context. The research is done by applying qualitative method with descriptive analysis in which secondary and primary data are about the micro entrepreneurship in Belitung District, Indonesia. The results show that the style of leadership gives influence to the rapid growth of a system which create partiality, commitment, consistency that showed by the sustainable regulation and policy of the local government. The style of the leadership creates the face and the character of the micro entrepreneurship of the local district which surely also determines the development of the micro entrepreneurship itself.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the compressive strength of the material of a car spoiler product that was developed using materials from rattan fiber epoxy reinforced composites material. The car spoiler products are car accessories that also function as one of the equipment related to aerodynamics. The study was conducted by making test samples of rattan fiber epoxy reinforced composites and compared with the compressive strength of plastic spoiler materials obtained from the free market. The testing standard used is the compressive strength test of ASTM D 695. Based on the test results obtained compressive strength of spoiler made of plastic is 47.68 ± 1.37 MPa and rattan fiber epoxy reinforced composites material is 43.49 ± 4.21 MPa, with a compressive strength difference of 8.8%. The compressive strength of modeling results obtained a compressive strength of 47.97 MPa. This result is quite good and the difference is quite small, so the results of the study can be used as a reference for further product development.

Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) yang menjawab kebutuhan sekolah menjadi masalah utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini, karena banyak sekolah mengaku sudah memiliki LMS tetapi LMS itu sulit untuk diimplementasikan, serta tidak sesuai dengan karakter siswa yang menjadi generasi kekinian. Tujuan penelitian ini terkait dengan pengumpulan data mengenai LMS apa yang dibutuhkan sekolah, upaya membuat LMS yang menjawab kebutuhan siswa, orangtua, guru, dan sekolah, serta umpan balik terhadap LMS yang sudah dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode neuroresearch yang menggabungkan model kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan tiga tahap, yakni: eksploratori, eksplanatori, dan konfirmasi. Peneliti menggali informasi terkait model LMS yang dibutuhkan (eksploratori), membuat LMS sesuai kebutuhan (eksplanatori), dan menggali umpan balik dari pengguna (konfirmasi). Hasil penelitian ini berupa data terkait model LMS yang dibutuhkan sekolah, pembuatan LMS yang sesuai dengan model yang dibutuhkan sekolah, serta respon pengguna bahwa LMS yang mereka gunakan sudah menjawab kebutuhan, berguna dan mudah diimplementasikan, terintegrasi, dengan fitur yang cukup lengkap.

Abstract

Currently, many innovations are being made in developing a technology to facilitate human work. One of these technologies is the hydraulic cylinder. Hydraulic cylinders were created to facilitate human work, especially in the industrial sector. Hydraulic cylinder, using a liquid or so-called liquid fluid, to be able to make the hydraulic cylinder work. In the hydraulic cylinder components, there are cylinder axles, pistons and cover seals. In general, hydraulic cylinders can be used for wingboxes. A wingbox is a box on a truck, which can be opened from the side with the help of a hydraulic cylinder. This journal was created to study how the simulation of hydraulic cylinder components when working. The design method used is the reverse engineering method, where the components that have been designed are then simulation is made to find out how strong the component is in holding the load when the component is working. The simulation is carried out using the Autodesk Fusion 360 application to find out how strong the hydraulic cylinder works in bearing the load. The results of this method are obtained when the simulation results of the hydraulic cylinder have been obtained.

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, the automation system technology used is growing rapidly. Automation systems in the industry are very useful, especially in reducing production time. One of the tools that can be used to simulate production in an industry is the Modular Production System (MPS). MPS itself consists of several stations to simulate the production process on a small scale. In a production system, of course, a system is needed that can detect abnormal workpiece conditions. This system will be driven by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This system will be placed at the distribution station. The rejection system in MPS is needed because, in MPS there is still a manual process, namely in the process of inserting workpieces into the stack magazine. with this manual process, it is likely that workpieces with abnormal conditions will be processed by MPS. This condition is unlikely to be processed further to the pick and place station. Therefore, objects with abnormal conditions must be separated by this rejection system. There are 2 methods used to conduct this research, namely using the 5/3 valve and the positive stop method. Data collection from both methods is done by experiment. From the experimental results of the two methods, it can be seen that the best method used for this system is the positive stop method. This method is the most appropriate method because it can produce a very accurate swivel arm stop position. From the data obtained, using the 5/3 valve method with a pressure of 4 bar the swivel arm stop position ranges from 22.4 cm to reach more than 25.8 cm, and at a pressure of 5 bar the swivel arm height ranges from 25.8 cm to more. By using the positive stop method the swivel arm stops exactly at the specified swivel arm height because the swivel arm is held by the pneumatic cylinder.

Abstract

Modular Production System is a station unit consisting of industrial components in the form of pneumatic and electrical components controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller which is directed for industry-oriented vocational training. In a Modular Production System, there are several types of stations, one of which is the pick and place station which consists of two modules, namely the pick and place module and the conveyor module. This design discusses the optimization of the design of the top cover feeding unit at the pick and place station because the top cover is dislocated every time there is a change in position when the vacuum sucks the top cover. This design optimization is done by redesigning the feeding unit slider. By doing this optimization, it can make the feeding unit accommodate the top cover where it should be and improve the process capability of the system. The results of this optimization are determined based on the process capability values, before optimization the resulting values were 1.0417 for Capabiity Process and 0.77 for the index. Then after design optimization, the values are 3.402 for Capabilty Process and 6.396 for the index and produce a total force of 0.205 N by using a slider feeding unit tilt angle of 14o. This tilt angle was determined as the most optimal angle because it resulted in the least system failure.

Abstract

Impeller adalah komponen utama pompa sentrifugal yang sering mengalami kegagalan seperti erosi, korosi dan kavitasi. Untuk mencegah kegagalan tersebut, salah satu cara yang digunakan adalah memberikan pelapis dengan metode TWAS. Pada penelitian yang telah ada, coating dengan metode TWAS menjadi salah satu pilihan yang banyak digunakan, namun belum banyak penelitian yang membahas mengenai pengaruh pengulangan sandblasting pada coating metode TWAS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengulangan sandblasting pada impeller pompa berbahan baku stainless steel 304 dengan metode Twin Wire Arc Spray Coating dengan NiAl sebagai bond coat dan FeCrBSiMn sebagai top coat. Penelitian ini menggunakan spesimen tanpa diberikan pelapisan dan spesimen tebaik yakni yang diberi pelapisan dengan satu pengulangan sandblasting. Karakterisasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui kekasaran permukaan (ISO 8503), kekerasan lapisan (ASTM E384), coating (ASTM D4541), dan laju korosi (ASTM G102). Pengujian SEM dan analisis ImageJ dilakukan untuk mengetahui struktur lapisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sandblasting dengan satu pengulangan memiliki hasil kekasaran permukaan dan ketebalan lapisan terendah. Namun, memiliki hasil karakterisasi lapisan paling optimal dengan porositas dan unmelt terendah, kekerasan tertinggi dengan 1081.6 HV dengan coating yang sudah sesuai dengan standar yakni 14.5 MPa dan semakin banyak pengulangan sandblasting, semakin tinggi laju korosinya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah satu pengulangan sandblasting dalam metode TWAS sudah memberikan kualitas terbaik yang dapat meningkatkan performa dan penggunaan impeller pompa.
