Abstract

Rubert plant was one of important pantation comodity as second source of forign exchange after palm oil. This study aims to determine the interaction of young coconut water and red onion extract in accelerating the breakdown of stum buds in the sleeping eye of rubber plants and their growth.   This research was conducted in the experiement garden of faculty of agriculture of Riau University. This study was a factorial experiement using a completely randomized design, which consists of two factors, such as first factor is the concentration of young coconut water consisting of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75%, while the second factor is the concentration of shallot extract consisting of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%.  Parameters observed were shoot growth time, shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves, shoot dry weight. Giving the concentration of 75% young coconut water and 2% shallot extract gave the best results on the growth of shoot length, number of leavers, bud diameter and ory weight of shoots from the stum rubber sleeping eyes.Giving 75% of young coconut water (containing cytokinin) and 2% onion extract (containing auxin) increases shoot length by 44.17 cm compared to without treatment of 10.33 cm Keywords:young coconut water,red onion extract,rubber sleeping eye stump

Abstract

The purpose of this research to get the receptable of long composting palm empty fruit bunches as mixed of media to support the growth and development of oil palm seedlings. This research was experiment and used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments with 6 replications, so there are 18 experimental units. Each unit consists of two plants. The treatment were:                 A1 = Composting two weeks, A2 = Composting four weeks, and A3 = Composting six weeks. The result of this research shown that the use of compost empaty fruit bunches with long composting influential to the seedling height and hump diameter, during composting 2, 4, and 6 weeks show indicates the number of leaf midrib, long of leaf, crown root ratio, dry weight of seedlings but during the six weeks long composting show higer vielt to get better growth and development of oil palm seedlings can use empaty fruit bunches.   Keywords: long composting, palm empty fruit bunches, oil palm seedlings.

Abstract

This study aim to get the best combination of fertilizer and various of Pineapple  (Ananas comosus (L) Merr)between Immature Palm Oil Plantation. Studied lasted from July to October 2013 at the Experimental land Rimbo Panjang, University of Riau. The material used are sucker and slip, varieties Queen and NPK Mutiara fertilizer (16-16-16). The study arranged experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RBD) first factor is NPK fertilizer dose treatment, second factor are sources of shoots T1 (sucker) andT2 (slip). Parameter observed is quantitative parameters consist by added height of      plant (cm), added leaves length of plant (cm), added leavesamount of plant (sheet), added leaveswidthof plant (cm) and leaves vastof plant (cm2). Data were analyzed using theF test and test of Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) 5% level.The results shows that a combination giving NPK fertilizer and sources shoots treatment significantly affected to all parameters. Aplication NPK fertilizer 10 g/plant with a source of sucker is the best combination for growing pineapple on peat land. Keywords: Pineapple, source of bud, dose of fertilizer

Abstract

Sansevieria is a horticultural plant species origin from Africa, Arab and Indonesia. Sansevieria has economic value and good prospects. These opportunities should must be balanced with plant propagation. Propagation by cuttings of plants with growth regulators to support growth. The research  aims is to know the effect of NAA, BA and both combination that supports the growth of Sansevieria aubrytiana cuttings. This research was conducted in the Screen House, Plant Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from September 2013 to March 2014. This research was conducted experimentally completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, with 3 replications. Data were analyzed of variance followed by Duncan's new multiple range test level of 5%. Parameters observed were percentage of live cuttings, rooted cuttings percentage, the percentage of cuttings formed tillers and number of tiller. The results showed no effect of growth regulators on the success of cuttings and seedlings growth of Sansevieria aubrytiana. Keywords: Sansevieria, Cuttings, PGR.

Abstract

This research aim to get the interaction of manure and water volume on the growth and yield of edamame soybean and determine the combination that gives the highest production on the growth and yield of edamame soybean. This research was conducted at the Screen House Stadion of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau on January 2015 until March 2015. This research arranged Completely Rendomized Design (CRD) with factor (I) composed of three (5 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, 15 tons/ha) and factor (II) composed of three  (50% water volume, 75% water volume, 100% water volume). The data analyzed by (ANOVA) and tested further by Duncan Multiple Test Level (DNMRT) at 5%. The observed parameters are plant height, days to flowering, percentage of effective root nodules, plant dry weight, number of branches, number of plant pods, percentage filled pods, weight of plant pods, seeds weight a plant and number of seeds a plant. Interaction manure and water volume improve on percentage filled pod and doesn`t improve on plants height, days to flowering, percentage of effective root nodules, plant dry weight, number of branches,number of plant pods, weight of plant pods, seeds weight a plant and number of seeds a plant. Manure 5 tons/ha and 50% water volume is a combination treatment of the highest. Keywords : Edamame Soybean, Manure, Water Volume

The research aims to determine effect of tricho compos made from corn waste combined with urea on the growth and production of kailan (Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra). This research was conducted on April 2015 until May 2015 in the experimental garden in Agriculture faculty of University of Riau, Panam, Pekanbaru. Research was conducted experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial. Each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 10 plants and five plants was taken as a sample plants. Abstract

The research aims to look at the giving of various dose combinations Palm Empty Fruit Bunch compost (PEFB) and spacing on the growth and yield of edamame soybean and to get the best treatment combination between compost PEFB and planting distance of the growth and production of edamame soybean. Research conducted in the experimental field Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau. Research period on June until August 2014. Experiments with 4 x 3 factorial using a randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is composting palm empty fruit bunch consisting of 4 levels (5, 10, 15 and 20 ton / ha). The second factor is planting distance consists of 3 levels (10 × 20, 15 × 20 and 20 × 20 cm), combination is repeated three times respectively. The efect of each treatment combination known through Duncan multiple test 5% level. Parameters measured were leaf area, root nodule effective, flowering time, the percentage of pods pithy, pithy number of pods per plant and yield per plot. The results showed that the combination of composting palm empty fruit bunch with planting distance effect on the effective root nodules, number of pods pithy planting, production per plot but did not affect the leaf area, flowering time, the percentage of pods pithy. The highest production was found in compost treatment of palm empty fruit bunches of 20 ton / ha and distance of (15 × 20) cm with a production that is 1717.2 g / plot.   Keyword : edamame soybeans, composting palm empty fruit bunch, spacing on

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine the response of three palm oil varieties (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in the main nursery on giving of several volumes of water. This research was conducted with factorial experimental methods arranged according to a CompletelyRandomized Design (CRD), this research consisted of 2 factors, namely: Factor I = Palm oil Varieties, V1: Tenera Marihat Varieties originating from PPKS, V2: Tenera Topaz 3 varieties from AA Topaz , V3: Tenera Lame variety from Socfindo, Factor II = Water supply, A1: 1000 ml per day per seed, A2: 1500 ml per day per seed, A3: 2000 ml per day per seed, A4: 2500 ml per day per seed . The research consisted of 12 treatment combinations and each treatment combination was repeated 3 replications so that 36 experimental units were obtained, each experimental unit had 3 plants to obtain 108 seeds. The results showed that: the interaction of giving several volumes of water and varieties had an effect on the humps of palm seeds, the Marihat variety showed a good response to the growth ofpalm seeds compared to the other two varieties (topaz and socfindo), giving 2500 ml per day per seed showed the good growth for all three varieties, while giving of 1000-1500 ml per day per seed of water per seed showed depressed growth in topas and socfindo varieties.Keywords: oil palm varieties, Main nursery, volumes of water

Abstract

The aimed of this research to get the interaction of liquid waste of palm oil mill and N, P, K fertilizer and get best dosage of them to growth of plam oil seedlingin pre nursery on red yellow podzolic soil. The research conducted on September to December 2016. The research used Completely Randomized Design of factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is the liquid waste of palm oil mill (LWPOM), consists of (0, 1.6,1.8, 2.0 l/polybag) andthe second factor is the NPK fertilizer, consists of (Urea 0.34 g Urea + 0.35 g TSP + 0.32 g KCl/polybag), (0.44 g Urea + 0.45 g TSP + 0.42 g KCl/polybag), and                                         (0.54 g Urea + 0.55 g TSP + 0.52 g KCl/polybag). Data obtained from the research were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Parameters were observed height of seedling, diameter of hums, number of leaf midrib, leaf area, shoot root ratio and dry weight. Giving of liquid waste of palm oil mill and N, P, K fertilizersignificantly to height of seedling, stem diameter, number of leaf midrib. Aplication liquid waste of palm oil mill 2.0 l/polybag and NPK (Urea 0.34 g Urea + 0.35 g TSP + 0.32 g KCl/polybag).
