Abstract

The Effect of Anorganic- Iron Supplementation on The Blood Cell of Humpback Grouper Fish (Cromileptes altivelis ) Infected by Kbrio parahaemolyticus This experiment was conducted to find the immunity response of humpback grouper (Chromileptes altivelis) correlated to the anorganic-iron supplement in feed. The blood cell was analyzed as the infection response of F5brioparahaemolyticus. The fish weight 6.9 5 0.22 g/ind. was cultured in 60x40~50cm aquarium and stocked at density 10 ind. / aquarium. After the fish fed by inorganic-iron supplementation at 0,25,50 and 100 mg/ kg for 68 days, then infected by J! parahaemolyticus. The blood cell showed the 50 and 100 mg Felkg inorganic-iron supplement enhanced erythrocytes, hematocrite, hemoglobin, lymphocytes and neutrophil after the 24hand the 72ndh our's infection. Total leucocytes backed to normal after the 7Pd infection and the index of phagocytic was higher with the 100 mg Fe/kg of iron supplementation. 1 Key words: iron (Fe), humpback grouper, feed, bacteria and blood cell.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to identify and evaluate diet composition and feeding strategy of Gobiid fishes in Pabean Bay, Indramayu. Fishes were collected monthly using gill nets, shrimp nets and fixed trap nets from April 2016-March 2017. Diet composition and feeding strategy were analyzed by IRI (Index of Relative Importance) and modification of the graphical Costello method, respectively. Nine species of Gobiidae were captured during the study period, namely Acentrogobius caninus (with total body length range 46-115 mm), Acentrogobius cyanomos (49-108 mm), Boleophthalmus boddarti (95-189 mm), Glossogobius aureus (70-210 mm), Oxyurichthys tentacularis (88-130 mm), Parapocryptes serperaster (112-198 mm), Paratrypauchen microcephalus (100-150 mm), Pseudapocryptes elongatus (88-190 mm), and Taenioides cirratus (160 mm). According to the diet analysis, A. caninus, A. cyanomos, and G. aureus were grouped into crustacivore, while the B. boddarti, P. serperaster, P. microcephalus, and P. elongatus were categorized as phytobenthic feeder. A. caninus, G. aureus, and A. cyanomos exhibited a specialist feeding strategy with the main food was Metapenaeus sp., Metapenaeus sp. and Acetes sp., respectively. B. boddarti, P. serperaster, P. microcephalus, P. elongates displayed a generalized feeding strategy. This research showed that Gobiid fishes occupy different trophic levels and play an important ecological role in Pabean Bay.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the effect of water temperature on the physiological condition and growth performance of freshwater eel elver Anguilla bicolor bicolor (McClelland, 1844). This study was conducted in March 2017 at the Physiology Laboratory of Aquatic Animal, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University. The study used a completely randomized design with five different levels of temperature (22°C, 24°C, 26°C, 28°C, and 30°C) as treatments with two replications. The size of elver was 2‒3 g. Fish were fed with 1 mm pellet containing 45% of protein. The feeding level was 7 % of fish biomass and the feeding frequency was two times a day. The results showed that temperatures range from 24‒30°C could be used for freshwater eel elver rearing and 28‒30°Cwere the best temperatures to support survival and growth performance of eel elver. A temperature of 24°C was the best temperature that could reduce the metabolism rate and did not cause stress on the elver. Keywords: elver, physiological conditions, growth performance, metabolism, temperature  ABSTRAK Penelitian dengan tujuan menganalisis pengaruh suhu terhadap kondisi fisiologis dan kinerja pertumbuhan elver ikan sidat (Anguilla bicolor bicolor McClelland, 1844) telah dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2017 di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan Air FPIK IPB. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima perlakuan suhu berbeda (22°C, 24°C, 26°C, 28°C, dan 30°C) dengan masing-masing dua ulangan. Ukuran benih yang digunakan 2‒3 g. Pakan yang diberikan berupa pellet berukuran 1 mm dengan kadar protein 45%. Jumlah pakan yang diberikan (FR) adalah 7% dari biomassa ikan dan diberikan dua kali sehari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kisaran suhu 24‒30°C dapat digunakan dalam pemeliharaan elver ikan sidat, dan suhu 28‒30°C merupakan suhu yang sangat baik untuk mendukung kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan elver ikan sidat. Suhu media 24°C adalah suhu terbaik yang dapat menekan laju metabolisme dengan tidak menyebabkan stres pada elver ikan sidat. Kata kunci: elver, kondisi fisiologis, kinerja pertumbuhan, metabolisme, suhu

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) formula choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok (2) kualitas choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok dari rasa, aroma dan tekstur. Objek penelitian ini adalah proses pembuatan dan kualitas choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok dari aspek rasa, aroma, dan tekstur. Panelis yang dipilih adalah panelis terlatih terdiri dari guru dan dosen tata boga berjumlah 19 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dan metode observasi. Data kualitas choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok dikumpulkan melalui uji organoleptik mutu hedonik dengan skala 3 tingkatan. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa (1) formula choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok sebagai berikut tepung bonggol pisang kepok 150g, margarin 180g, choco chip 150g, gula halus 150g, cokelat bubuk 25g, kuning telur 20g dan vanilli 4g (2) kualitas choco cookies tepung bonggol pisang kepok dilihat dari aspek rasa berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 2,94 artinya memiliki rasa manis dan gurih. Aspek aroma berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 2,89 artinya memiliki aroma khas bonggol pisang kepok. Aspek tekstur berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 2,78 artinya memiliki tekstur yaitu rapuh. Kata Kunci : choco cookies, kualitas, tepung bonggol pisang kepok, formula. Abstract This experimental research is aimed to know (1) the formula of kepok banana hump flour choco cookies (2) the quality of kepok banana hump flour seen from flavor, aroma and texture. The object of this study is process and quality of kepok banana hump flour choco cookies from the aspect of flavor, aroma and texture. The selected panelists were 19 trained panelists. The method used in this is the method of laboratory and method of observation. The data kepok banana hump flour was collected through organoleptic test of hedonic quality with scale 3 levels and then the data of this study was found some result will be analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found (1) the formula of kepok banana hump flour choco cookies is a kepok banana hump flour 150g, margarine 180g, choco chip 150g, refined sugar 150g, cocoa powder 25g, egg yolk 20g, and vanillie 4g (2) the quality of kepok banana hump flour choco cookies seen from flavor aspect is good category with the average 2,94 has a desired flavor there are sweat and savory, from the aspect aroma is in the good category with the average 2,89 has a distinctive aroma of kepok banana hump flour, from the aspect of the texture is good category with the average 2,78 has a distinctive texture is fragile. Abstract

Fragmented and non-fragmented soft corals showed antibacterial activities. Soft corals were gradually extracted using methanol, ethyl acetate, and hexane. Crude extract of the samples was tested its antibacterial activity, Minimun Inhibitory Concentration, toxicity (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method), and phytochemicals. Overall, the antibacterial activity of crude extract of non-fragmented soft coral Sarcophyton sp. was higher than the crude extract of fragmented soft coral Sarcophyton sp. Crude ethyl acetate extract showed higher antibacterial activities. The ethyl acetate crude extract of non-fragmented soft coral Sarcophyton sp. is able to inhibit all tested bacteria is E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa and B.cereus, while the ethyl acetate crude extract of fragmented Sarcophyton sp. is unable to inhibit bacteria P. aeruginosa. Minimum inhibitory concentration extracts of non-fragmented Sarcophyton sp. in range 240−480 μg/disc. The 24-h LC50 extracts of fragmented and non-fragmented Sarcophyton sp. for Artemia salina were 149.50 ppm and 45.15 ppm, respectively. Bioactive compounds of fragmented and non-fragmented Sarcophyton sp. extract are steroid, flavonoid and alkaloid.

Abstract

Estuari Sungai Cikaso merupakan satu di antara beberapa daerah penangkapan glass eels dengan hasil tangkapan tertinggi di Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Usaha perikanan tangkap glass eels pada dasarnya dilakukan untuk memenuhi pasokan benih untuk kegiatan pembesaran ikan sidat. Nelayan menggunakan dua alat dalam melakukan penangkapan glass eels yaitu bubu dan sirib. Terdapat perbedaan konstruksi dan teknis pengoperasian kedua alat tangkap ini, yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan tingkat stres yang dialami oleh ikan hasil tangkapan. Tingkat stres pasca penangkapan akan berujung pada rendahnya sintasan dan kualitas benih untuk kegiatan pembesaran ikan sidat. Kajian mengenai kelangsungan hidup pasca penangkapan ini sangat penting untuk diketahui karena berkaitan dengan penilaian alat tangkap. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelangsungan hidup pasca penangkapan terhadap hasil tangkapan alat tangkap bubu dan sirib dilakukan setiap bulan dari Februari hingga April 2021. Ikan yang tertangkap dipelihara dalam akuarium selama empat hari pengamatan pasca penangkapannya. Terdapat perbedaan sintasan glass eels yang tertangkap dengan dua alat tangkap yang berbeda. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup glass eels pada alat tangkap bubu (~63%) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan alat tangkap sirib (~68%). Hal serupa juga ditemukan pada ikan hasil tangkapan sampingan untuk kedua alat tangkap tersebut. Ikan hasil tangkapan sampingan yang tertangkap dengan bubu umumnya memiliki luka pada beberapa bagian tubuhnya, sedangkan ikan tangkapan sampingan yang tertangkap dengan sirib umumnya tanpa luka pasca penangkapan. Tingkat kematian ikan pasca penangkapan berkaitan erat dengan persentase luka yang dialami oleh ikan.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir siswa dapat disebabkan oleh strategi yang diterapkan guru dalam pembelajaran belum berorientasi pada pemberdayaan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan hanya menekankan pada pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan media video berbasis powerpoint pada materi larutan asam-basa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis pre-eksperimen menggunakan desain one group pre-test post-test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI yang berjumlah 130 peserta didik yang terbagi ke dalam 5 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini di pilih dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIA 1 yang berjumlah 15 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk 14 soal pilihan ganda, lembar observasi aktivitas dan angket tanggapan peserta didik. Data hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dua pihak setelah uji prasyarat terpenuhi. Hasil analisis data diperoleh 20,073 dengan α=0,05 dan dk=14 maka diperoleh=2,14 sehingga disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah dibelajarkan melalui penerapan media video berbasis powerpoint pada materi larutan asam basa. Data aktivitas dan tanggapan peserta didik diolah secara deskriptif sehingga diperoleh hasil bahwa 85,95% peserta didik melakukan aktivitas yang diharapkan serta tanggapan peserta didik terhadap penerapan media video berbasis powerpoint diperoleh sebesar 93,17% yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Moustached thryssa is one of an important fishery commodity in ujung pangkah waters. The study aimed toinvestigate food habits of the fish caught in the area. This study was conducted in ujung pangkah waters, gresik,east java using fish samples (n=76 males, n=119 females) collected during january to june 2006. Research resultshows that shrimps was a main food, bivalva and parts of crustacean were complementary food, while copepodsand pollychaeta were suplementary food both for male and female fish. Based on index of stomach contents, theindex was higher during january and april for male and female fish. Percentage of food of the fish variedaccording to size. According to simmilariy index, the main food of male and female fish was simmilar.

Abstract

Information on habitat preferences of the blue swimming crab (BSC) juvenile and its spatial distribution is one of the factors behind the successfulness of its sustainable management. This information is needed to provide input for management strategy by considering juvenile crabs and their habitat as important aspect. The purpose of this study is to elucidate habitat preferences, abundance and biomass distribution of BSC juvenile in the east Lampung coastal waters. The research was conducted in September-October 2018, which was located in east Lampung coastal waters, Province Lampung. Spatial distribution through estimation of abundance and biomass of BSC juvenile were relatively high and concentrated in the Gambas and Wako regions at stratification of 2-4 miles from the coastline. The BSC juvenile does not appear to have a high preference to the Kuala Penet coastal habitat condition; it is considered because of low value of abundance, biomass, and Habitat suitability index (HSI). The value of HSI in the Kuala Penet Coastal region is also lower than other locations due to abiotic and biotic factors for supporting the crabs at juvenile stage.

Abstract

Diversity and fish assemblage structure of Sopokomil tributaries was investigated on August and November 2010 with aims to describe spatial and temporal variation of the fish assemblage and evaluate environmental influence on fish distribution in Sopokomil tributaries. Seventeen sites were sampled using backpack electrofishing with single-pass depletion method. Throughout the study, sixteen fish species belonging to 10 genera and 8 families were collected. Species richness and diversity significantly increased from upstream, middle stream and downstream. Based on analysis of similarities (two-way ANOSIM), fish assemblages were significantly different in spatial variation but not in temporal variation. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) highlighted four environmental variables (altitude, total suspended solid, dissolved oxygen, and temperature) significantly structuring fish assemblages in the tributaries of Sopokomil River. Total suspended solids in streams increases by anthropogenic activities along the tributaries. The status of protected forest which is cover upstream and part of middle stream of Sopokomil River needs to maintain for ichythyofauna preservation. Abstrak Penelitian tentang keragaman dan struktur kumpulan ikan yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus dan November 2010 di anak sungai-anak sungai Sopokomil bertujuan mendeskripsikan komposisi dan keragaman kumpulan ikan secara spasial dan temporal serta mengevaluasi faktor lingkungan utama yang memengaruhi distribusi ikan di lokasi tersebut. Penangkapan ikan menggunakan alat backpack electrofishing dengan metode single-pass depletion di tujuh belas stasiun pengamatan. Ikan yang ditemukan selama penelitian berjumlah 16 spesies dari 10 genera dan 8 famili. Kekayaan spesies dan keragaman ikan meningkat secara signifikan mulai dari zona hulu, tengah, dan hilir. Hasil uji two-way ANOSM tanpa replikasi menunjukkan bahwa kumpulan ikan secara spasial berbeda secara signifikan, namun tidak berbeda secara temporal. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) menggarisbawahi bahwa ada empat parameter lingkungan uta-ma yang signifikan memengaruhi struktur kumpulan ikan di anak sungai-anak sungai Sopokomil, yakni ketinggian, pa-datan tersuspensi total, oksigen terlarut, dan suhu. Beberapa aktifitas antropogenik ditengarai ikut mengambil peran da-lam meningkatkan kandungan total padatan tersuspensi di badan sungai. Status hutan lindung yang melingkupi daerah hulu dan sebagian bagian tengah Sungai Sopokomil perlu untuk tetap dipertahankan demi kelestarian iktiofauna sungai ini.
