Abstract

- This study aims to build a decision support system that can help facilitate the selection of the right used car for potential buyers. To be able to buy a used car that suits the needs and funds owned by consumers, buyers must consider the many criteria and factors of each used car which consists of various brands that exist today. This study uses the ELECTRE (Elimination and Choice Translation Reality) method. The criteria in the comparison used in this decision support system are documents, cylinder volume, year of production and car price. The ELECTRE method is used in conditions where alternatives that do not meet the criteria are eliminated, and suitable alternatives can be generated. Of the 8 samples of used cars studied, the best recommendation was Ayla (A4) with a total aggregate of 4 and an alternative that was not recommended was Agya (A3) with a total aggregate of 0.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) topic is discussed in a subject in Vocational High Schools. This is certainly useful for prospective SMK graduates to reduce the risk of accidents or health problems during learning activities at school. This activity aims to educate school residents about the risk factors and dangers that can arise as a result of activities at school. This community service was carried out at the SMK Swasta Methodist Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This activity was carried out with PT. Emcotama as a partner from business/industrial sector. 30 students from SMK Swasta Methodist Tanjung Morawa were involved in this activity. The results showed that 94% -95% of activity participants agreed that the venue and facilities were pursuant to K3 standards. In addition, all participants stated that the instructor were eligible. In theory/practice session, 90.5% of participants agreed this activity met the K3 standards. 95% of the participants declared that the activity had benefits and added value for them. This activity was successful with the result that more than 89% of participants were satisfied with the criteria for materials, instructors, meals, and facilities during the activity. PKM activities is concluded to be run smoothly. This is shown from more than 90% of participants who understand the basics of K3 and its implementation practices that already meet K3 standards. The aspect that needs attention is the duration of the practicum which needs to be extended to get more optimal results.

Abstract

Reward is a form of appreciation received by an individual for the achievement of a work performance that aims to motivate the individual to have high productivity. In managerial terms, giving a warning is a good and reasonable thing to do by the leader to his subordinates. Likewise with the Private Vocational School 1 HKBP Pematangsiantar. This research was conducted to provide solutions to problems that occur through the design of a decision support system software for giving the best teacher reward with the Technique for Order Preferences by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method with assessment components including (1) discipline, (2) involvement, (3 ) attendance, (4) leadership, (5) training and (6) social. The Decision Support System for providing teacher rewards is able to accommodate subjective problems, lack of transparency, and doubts about its accuracy and the output is very credible. Thus the decision-making process for giving the best teacher reward is efficient, effective and objective and can be used as a recommendation for school principals in determining which teachers deserve rewards. From the 10 data samples used, the results of the analysis using the Decision Support System show that the highest recommendation value is 0.7149 on behalf of A8, while the lowest recommendation value is 0.2851 on behalf of A10.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the problems in predicting student achievement at the Polytechnic Business Indonesia Pematangsiantar. To predict student achievement is done by applying Backpropagation algorithm and implement it into Matlab software. Backpropagation algorithm is one of the methods on artificial neural networks that is quite reliable in solving problems including prediction. In this study conducted on the object of students semester One with a lot of data samples 26 samples. The data sample is divided into two parts, 70% of the data is used as training data and 30% of the data is used as testing data. This study uses ten architectural models, namely 9-2-1, 9-3-1, 9-4-1, 9-5-1, 9-6-1, 9-7-1, 9-8-1, 9-9-1, 9-10-1, 9-11-1. Of the ten Backpropagation network architecture models implemented in predicting student achievement in Matlab software obtained the best output is 9-2-1 pattern with epoch 8149, time duration for 17 seconds, and MSE (error rate) value of 2.80 e-05 for training and MSE (error rate) of 0.1248 with accuracy of 87.5% for testing. The best architecture obtained is expected to be used as a picture by the academic Polytechnic Business Indonesia (PBI) in predicting student achievement.

Abstract

Control of population is one of the tasks of the government in Indonesia. The increase and movement of population in each region makes a certain area to defeat changes in population surging, and this can affect the economic level of the area. This study aims to process the population of Pematangsiantar City in 2018 which is divided into age groups, namely: Toddlers, Young Children, Early Adolescents, Late Adolescents, Early Adolescents, Late Adulthood, Early Adulthood, Elderly, Late Elderly, and Upper Seniors. Data processing is done by using K-Means method clustering in accordance with the population of Pematangsiantar City per district. With this grouping, we can see that the number of population in each sub-district is based on each age group so that we can implement programs that are more appropriate in improving human resources.

Abstract

This research was conducted to solve the problem of decision making to determine the feasibility of giving loans to CUM Caritas HKBP Pematangsiantar. The applicant's assessment includes an administrative assessment and the survey is still being conducted without using a computer-based decision support system. To simplify the decision making to determine the feasibility of giving the loan, a decision support system was designed using the Topsis method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). The criteria used consist of: Income, Dependent, Loan Size, Guarantee Value and Number of Installments. The results of the calculation of the case of this study that are eligible for a loan in order are NA2 with a value of 0.6390, NA1 with a value of 0.5737, the third is NA3 with a value of 0.5053, and the last is NA4 with a value of 0.3102. The results of this study can be concluded that the Topsis method can answer or resolve problems faced by CUM Caritas HKBP Pematangsiantar in determining creditworthiness.

Abstract

Universities are not only required to provide services for students, but also must be able to compete to maintain service quality. This demand is absolutely necessary in order to create a loyalty for the community which will become valuable capital for an organization in the future. This study aims to recommend the satisfaction of Indonesian business polytechnic students by using the C4.5 data mining classification technique. Sources of data were obtained from questionnaires distributed via google form to final semester students (class of 2018) at the Indonesian Business Polytechnic. The attributes used to assess visitor satisfaction include: Tuition Fee Tariff, Campus Facilities, Administrative Services, Lecturer Services, Recommendation Level. The results of data processing using the C4.5 method through the RapidMiner tools obtained an accuracy value of 80.00%, precision 79.19%, and recall 79.19% with Satisfied criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to solve the problem of grouping books that are most often borrowed at the library and provide priority recommendations for procuring the right books. Currently the priority for procuring books at the Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi dan Manajemen Indonesia (STAMI) Library is still done manually. To overcome this problem, two methods are used, namely the K-Means method which functions to group books based on the number of book titles and the ELECTRE method which is used to prioritize books to be purchased. The decision support system built using the ELECTRE method utilizes criteria consisting of the number of books borrowed, copies, book prices, and majors. The results of this study are a web-based decision support system consisting of 11 alternatives grouped, namely: Buku-013, Buku-063, Buku-072, Buku-074, Buku-075, Buku-076, Buku-084, Buku - 092, Book-102, Book-122, and Book-125. With this Decision Support System, the Library of the Indonesian College of Accounting and Management can easily prioritize procuring books in the library.
