Abstract

Abstract:This research aims by the students’math achievement at class VIII.3 SMPN 11Pekanbaru, there are 14 students’ or 37,8% achieving passing grade from 37 on the main discussion about Teorema Pythagoras Pythagoras theorem and then the learning process still teacher center. The research was classroom action research. This research is aims to increase learning process and students’ math achievement at class VIII.3 SMPN 11 Pekanbaru in circle, through the implentation cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray. The subject are 37 students from class VIII.3 SMPN 11 pekanbaru consist of 18 male and 19 female students with the heterogenous. The collecting of the data instruments are observation and math achivement testThe research analyze by descriptive and qualitative, but students’s achievement analyze by descriptive and quantitative. observationFrom the qualitative analysis showed an improvement of the learning process before action to the first cycle and cycle II. Then the results of this study showed an increase in students from basic score with percentage 37,8%, on a daily test I with the percentage of 51,4% and the percentage of daily test II with 59,5%.Based on the previous result at can be concluded that the implentation of cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray to improve students’ math achievement at class VIII.3 SMPN 11 pekanbaru of circle main topic of second semester 2013/2014.Key Word :Students’ math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Type Two Stay Two Stray, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract— This study aimed to determine students responses toward the development of student worksheet with problem based learning model in the comparison material. This study used 4-D model of development that consisted of four stages, namely the definition, design, development, and disseminate. Data collection instruments were sheets of validation and questionnaire of students’ responses. The questionnaire of students’ responses used Guttman scale consisting of 20 items of positive and negative statements. Grain statement was based on the aspects of accuracy, conformity with learning models, as well as the fulfillment of the terms of didactic, construction, and technical. Before tested to students, the student worksheet has been validated by three experts on mathematics education with very valid results (3.73). The student worksheet trial conducted to 32 students of class VII-1 SMPN 1 Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi, Riau Province during the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. After carrying out learning by using worksheets, students were given the response questionnaire. Overall, students gave a positive response to the student worksheet which amounted to 94.37% categorized as very practical. Although the student worksheet already using Indonesian referring to Spelling Enhanced, there are some students who think that they find the unknown word or term on student worksheet. However, this is not a significant obstacle in learning because the student worksheet was developed for group learning so students can discuss things they did not understand with their group members.  Keywords: problem based learning, students’ response, students’ worksheet Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan. Pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D  yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Definition, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa.  Angket respon siswa menggunakan skala Guttman yang terdiri atas 20 item berisi pernyataan positif dan negative. Item pernyataan didasarkan pada aspek akurasi, kesesuaian dengan model pembelajaran, serta pemenuhan syarat didaktik, konstruksi, dan teknis. Sebelum diuji kepada siswa, lembar kerja siswa divalidasi oleh tiga ahli pendidikan matematika dengan hasil yang sangat valid (3,73). Uji coba lembar kerja siswa dilakukan kepada 32 siswa kelas VII-1 SMPN 1 Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau pada semester II tahun akademik 2016/2017. Setelah melakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan lembar kerja, siswa diberi angket respon. Secara keseluruhan, siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap lembar kerja siswa yang berjumlah 94,37% tergolong sangat praktis. Meskipun lembar kerja siswa sudah menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang mengacu pada Ejaan yang Disempurnakan, ada beberapa siswa yang menemukan kata atau istilah yang tidak diketahui pada lembar kerja siswa. Namun, ini bukan masalah karena lembar kerja siswa dikembangkan untuk pembelajaran kelompok sehingga siswa dapat mendiskusikan hal-hal yang tidak mereka mengerti dengan anggota kelompok mereka. Keywords: problem based learning, students’ response, students’ worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve ability of understanding mathematical class X3 SMA Negeri 4 Tanah Putih outcomes through of the implementation of the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy in cooperative learning. This research is a colaborative class action research. This type of research is the classroom action research with two cycle. The subject of this research were the students of class X3 SMA Negeri 4 Tanah Putih that consist of 11 boys and 12 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheet and students mathematical understanding of abilty test. Based on the result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle I and II had happened improvement learning process. Based on data analysis ability of understanding mathematical students in classical class X3 SMA Negeri 4 Tanah Putih, obtained an average N-gain ability of understanding mathematical students on the first cycle is 0,40 and second cycle is 0,80. Average N-gain ability of understanding mathematical students in crease in cycle I and II, it show that Average N-gain ability of understanding mathematical students more than 0. It shows ability of understanding mathematical students with implementation of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy in cooperative learning is increased. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy in cooperative learning can improve the learning process and improve ability of understanding mathematical of class X3 of SMA Negeri 4 Tanah Putih in the second semester academic years 2015/2016.Key Words: Ability of Mathematical Understanding, Think-Talk-Write (TTW)Strategy,Cooperative learning, Clasroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematics instrument as supporting referring to 2013 curiculum. This study has purpose to develop mathematics learning instruments as lesson plans and student worksheet with problem based learning’s model on comparison of class for 7th grade junior high school. This method used are 4D model by Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. But, in this study only to third step or develop step. A learning instruments was validating by three validator and then fix based on validator’s suggestion. Lesson plans that has validated, then trials to small group consist of eight students from SMP Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of lesson plans is 3,71 and mean score of student worksheet is 3,76. This student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student respone is 94,37 on small test group.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Problem Based Learning, Comparison.

Abstract

The research is aimed at examining mathematical creative thinking ability of senior high school students using Alberta inquiry learning model and conventional learning method in Siak watershed, and disseminating Alberta inquiry learning model. This quasi-experimental research used nonequivalent control group design. The research population was senior high school students in Siak watershed, Riau Province. Forty-six students of grade X were chosen as the samples. The data were analyzed using t-test. The research results showed that students’ mathematical creative thinking ability was better increased through the use of Alberta inquiry learning model compared to conventional learning methods.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the mathematical literacy (reasoning and communication of mathematics) of junior high schoolstudents in KecamatanTampan Kota Pekanbaru in geometry. The research instrument used instruments PISA 2012 with space and shape content translated into Indonesian. Overall, the test consists of 14 items with the nine themes. The population in this study are student at class IX of SMPN 20 and SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. Randomly selected one class from each school in order to obtain a sample of 74 people. The results showed that students mathematical literacy is still low with an average score of 46.90 and a standard deviation of 15.15. For aspects of mathematical reasoning abilities, students tend not able to use patterns and relationships to analyze mathematical situations, provide explanations using models, facts, attributes, and relationships, as well as estimating the answer and the solution process. For aspect of communication, students tend not able to connect real objects, drawings, and diagrams into mathematical ideas.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research are student of class VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Kampar Timur in academic years 2017/2018, which are 29 students, consist of 15 boys and 14 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is the observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to UH-I and UH-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (24,14%) to the first UH-I (48,24%) to the UH-II (79,31%) thus it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Kampar Timur in academic years 2017/2018 for the sets.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

The Teacher Professional Program (PPG) is one of the program created by Government in empowering teachers and teachers candidates in conducting a good teaching. The curriculum and evaluation for this program was developed by the government. There are 12 aspects that will be evaluated for each participant, an evaluation forms are available to be used by the instructor. The problem encounter by instructor in doing evaluation is time consuming and calculation error because the number of aspect to fill in the form. This research is aim to developed computer-based evaluation instrument that not only easier to fill but also less time consuming and prevent the error calculation. This development used 4D Model which included define, design, developed and dissemination. Analysis of available instrument is done in defining phase, it found that the indicator of scoring is needed to have a better grading. Based on this finding, scoring indicators are developed along with computer based form in design and develop phase. There are nine form were developed by adding the indicators and revising the appearance, five of them used for document analysis, four used for observation. The computer-based evaluation forms that been developed are recommended to used by the PPG isntructors.

Abstract

This study is aimed at producing a learning tool for statistics of junior high school using realistic mathematics education approach which includes valid and practical lesson plans (RPP) and students worksheets (LKS) to develop mathematical literacy skills. This development research refers to the 4-D development model from Thiagarajan which consists of define, design, development, and disseminate stages. The test subjects were seventh grader students of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The data ware obtained using validation sheets by experts and students response questionnaire sheets. It is found that the result of expert validation for RPP is 3.84 (very valid) and for LKS 3.52 (very valid). The students worksheet has suited the practicality requirements with the percentage of student responses reaching 88.57%. It can be concluded that the RPP and LKS have fulfilled valid and practical requirements.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was a classroom action research that aimed to improve learning process and increase student mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Discovery Learning. The subject of this research was students of class VIIIB SMPN 1 Kampar Utara in odd semester in academic year 2018/2019, around 16 students, consisted of six boys and 10 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle had four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis technique, while the students’ mathematic tests result was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process before the action on the first cycle to second cycle. Most of the students were very enthusiastic and seemed to be confidence and active in learning process. The results of this study indicated the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score (37,5 %) to UH-I (56,25 %) up to UH-II (68,75%) and on competency skill increase from UH I (31,25%) to UH II (56,25%) thus it could be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model can improve the learning process and increase mathematics achievement of the students at class VIIIB SMPN 1 Kampar Utara in odd semester in academic year 2018/2019 for the main material of Relasi dan Fungsi.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Discovery Learning, Class Action Research
