Abstract

This research will discuss the analysis of the design and manufacture of website-based e-certificate applications using the Object Oriented Programming (OOP) method. The main problems that underlie this research are the waste in the use of paper and the cost of printing certificates, as well as the difficulty of distributing certificates to participants for every activity held in an agency. In addition, another problem is the number of fake certificates from activities that have been held and the difficulty of checking the authenticity of these certificates. Therefore, we need an application that can facilitate the making of certificates without having to be printed conventionally, assist in distributing certificates from activities that have been held to activity participants, as well as in checking the authenticity of certificates. For making applications using the OOP method with tools Unified Modeling Language (UML) as a tool in designing applications. The results achieved from this research are a website-based e-certificate application that will be used to print certificates digitally (paperless), distribute e-certificates from every activity organized by an agency, and check the authenticity of certificates using QRCode technology.

Abstract

The determination of the student's single tuition fee grade at XYZ University still faces problems, one of which is the inconsistency of supporting variables which change each year based on the number of students and the level of student welfare. Determination of the class of student's single tuition fee based on the web that applies the backpropagation algorithm is designed to produce an adaptive decision-making system for changing variable determinants so that every year it is not necessary to adjust the weight in determining the student's single tuition fee group. In building a decision support system to determine the student's single tuition fee group, there are several stages including data collection, data processing, backpropagation implementation, evaluation and presentation of the model, and implementation of a web-based decision support system. During the evaluation and presentation of the model, several experiments were carried out by considering various parameters to get the best accuracy results. The accuracy of the best model produced in this study reached 86% with output in the form of a web-based decision support system that is ready to be managed by the Center for Information and Computer Technology (PUSTIKOM) of XYZ University for use by new students.

Abstract

The purpose for this research is to make a blueprint of State University Of Jakarta website for admission of new students. This site using RestFul API Web Service technology that split in between data processing logic system and user interface so that if the system are in development, developer no need to rebuild or reorganize the whole part of system. The research done at Information and Technology Center (PUSTIKOM) University of XYZ on February until May 2016. Developing method that used are software method development. i.e. spiral development method. Overall there’s 3 main stages of this research and development. There are (1) early research; (2) product development; (3) test and revision of the product. Early research done for identify the problem and search the easy solution for solve that matter. Testing process for the prototype of the product done with media expert test. Data collecting process done by using questionaire which then analyzed with desciptive and quantitative technique. Based on research, testing result show that prototype have 100% score on Validation Test. Based the test result, the blueprint of University Of XYZ website for admission of new students that have been developed declared eglible for use as a milestone of admission of new students system for University of XYZ in a next year.

Abstract

Previous research on Spatial Skyline Query Based on Surrounding Environment left a challenge in finding skyline objects that support the use of mobile devices. This study introduces a method that allows users to search for spatial objects dynamically. Cloud-based streaming data services are currently available to support the dynamic search of spatial skyline objects. Under these conditions, streaming data requires a longer processing time. This study aims to examine the effectiveness and efficiency of Apache-Spark in developing Spatial Skyline Query Based on Surrounding Environment in processing streaming data. Further implementation of the developed algorithm can provide better location access for users on mobile devices. Comparative analysis of algorithm execution time is performed by comparing algorithm processing on a single processor and cluster computing using various evaluation parameters. The test results on each parameter show that the computation time of the proposed algorithm on a single computation is not as good as the previous algorithm. Abstract

The Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) is a non-formal education unit that provides educational services for people in need. Currently PKBM uses face-to-face learning methods in classrooms, so it is not optimal for learning citizens because interaction with tutors can only be done in the PKBM environment. On the other hand, e-learning technology can make it easier for PKBM tutors / teachers in implementing learning because learning can be done anytime and anywhere according to the abilities of the teaching participants. The main objective of this community service activity is to provide training in the use of cloud-based Moodle e-learning for PKBM tutors / teachers. The implementation methods consist of: (1) Needs Analysis; (2) CloudMoodle implementation; (3) Preparation of Training Materials; (4) Data Collection of Prospective Training Participants; (5) Creating PKBM Tutor / Teacher Accounts; and (6) Evaluation and Reporting. The training was attended by 31 participants from 10 PKBM institutions. The training material is delivered interactively with materials including: (i) a general explanation of the Moodle application; (ii) learning material management training; and (iii) Value management training. Based on the results of the evaluation, the training activities were well organized based on the feedback given by the participants in terms of three aspects: (i) the participants' understanding of the training material; (ii) providing training; and (iii) training resource persons.

Abstract

Heart disease is the main cause of death which can be diagnosed using an electrocardiogram. This study aims to classify heart defects using the Fuzzy C Means technique. The advantage of using Fuzzy C Means is that it is unsupervised and can reach a convergent cluster center under certain conditions. It is a clustering model that has the value of the objective function, number of iterations and completed time. In an unsupervised learning, the focus is more on exploring data such as looking for patterns in the data. Clustering itself aims to identify patterns of similar data to be grouped. It can be a solution to overcome the process of determining the risk of heart disease. The results showed that there were 10 data grouped into cluster 1 and 10 data into cluster 2. The first group (Cluster 1) consisted of patients with serial numbers 3,5,8,9,11,12,16,17,19,20, while the second group (Cluster 2) consisted of patients with serial numbers 1,2,4,6,7,10,13,14,15 and 18. Accuracy testing results in a success rate of 60%.
