Abstract

Official data from the National AIDS Commission [KPA] shows that East Java ranks second [two] national HIV most with 33,043 cases of HIV and AIDS as many as 17,014 cases. Whereas Pasuruan Regency was ranked 2 [two] with the highest number of HIV cases from all districts in East Java with 1212 cases. The majority of HIV cases are dominated by productive age / adolescents / school students between the ages of 20-29 years, the number of which reaches around 345 people or around 24%. of the total HIV cases in Pasuruan Regency which amounted to 1212 cases. [KPA data of Kab. Pasuruan from 2000-2016]. Whereas in terms of HIV data by region, Prigen Subdistrict still ranks first as the region with the most HIV cases in Pasuruan Regency with 93 cases. Seeing this problem, the strengthening of school institutions in the prevention and control of the dangers of HIV and AIDS is a priority to be realized. This community service activity (PKM) uses the Community Organizer (CO) approach which is implemented in 5 (five) high schools in the district. Prigen Pasuruan. The tangible results of this service program have made a real contribution to the establishment of high school education institutions in the Prigen area with the increase in the capacity of teachers and students in the prevention of HIV and AIDS and drugs in both religious and medical studies, making strategies and techniques for the campaign of HIV and Aids and network strengthening formed between educational institutions, AIDS prevention commissions in Kab. Abstract

The garbage problem in Pasuruan district has been in the emergency. This condition is caused because of garbage governance in Pasuruan Regency still use conventional method 3P (collection, transport and disposal) so that it can not reduce the amount of garbage dumped to TPA considering there is no process Waste processing done. Seeing the question of the Pasuruan district government made a waste handling policy through the SDSB Program (one village waste Bank). The Government's policy was responded well by the housewives at Taman Permata Indah Village of Pagak district of Beji District in Pasuruan Regency by forming the waste bank community TPI BISA. The establishment of waste bank TPI BISA this part of the response to the government policy while seeing the problem of many unhandled garbage that affects health and hygiene of the environment as a result of the increasing Population in the area. Household waste deposits generated within 1 month less than 6 quintals and every tendency month is increasing. Waste bank TPI BISA one of the waste bank that is sufficient to exist and has succeeded in managing the environment through the management of both organic and inorganic waste. In addition, the community also conducts garbage processing in the form of interesting and unique handcraft. But on the other hand, from the success also still leave a serious problem that the management system of waste bank TPI BISA be done by manual model so that there is often an error in recording the deposit amount Garbage whose edges often make a conflict in internal management of trash banks with members or customers of trash banks. Therefore, modernization of IT-based administrative management becomes a real need needed by waste bank TPI BISA, So that waste bank TPI BISA be worthy of an example of trash bank with IT-based management of mobile that can be developed thoroughly in Pasuruan Regency.

Abstract

The Environmental Education Movement Assistance Program in 12 Elementary Education Institutions (SD & MI) in the Support Area of ​​the Purwodadi Botanical Garden Conservation of Pasuruan Regency at Capang Village, Kertosari Village and Tejowangi Village Pasuruan Regency has been held for 5 months starting in January - May 2018 Capang Village, Kertosari Village and Tejowangi Village Pasuruan Regency has been held for 5 months starting in January - May 2018. This program has produced a pilot community of adiwiyata education in 3 villages namely the villages of Kertosari, Capang and Tejowangi. Through this program, it has been able to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in 12 basic educational institutions program partners in conducting education to instill environmental care characters in students, in addition, the program partners also have knowledge and skills in environmental management in the school area through school waste banks and planting and utilization of TOGA plants in each school.

Abstract

Community service program on Assistance for Promotion of Apple Cider in Nongko Jajar Village Through the Utilization of Social Media/Marketplace Online has been carried out for approximately 2 months. This activity has contributed significantly to increasing new knowledge and skills for farmers Apples nongkojajar in promoting apple cider products through the utilization of online market places. In addition, the program partners also have trading accounts in the open marketplace and shopee stores as well as Facebook and Instagram social media. Through this effort apple farmers nongkojajar especially the program partners benefited from the service program conducted by the Communication Sciences lecturer team at Yudharta Pasuruan University. To encourage the sustainability of the program, the synergy between related parties becomes important to continue to be carried out such as the village/sub-district government, the department of communication and information, the Industry and Trade service provider and internet service providers and universities must be carried out with their respective functions and roles. Through this synergy it will encourage economic improvement and the welfare of apple farmers in Nongko Jajar.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the communication construction model between Faith-Based Organizations is carried out by religious leaders (religious leaders) in Minimizing Interfaith Conflict in Preserving Customs and Cultural Traditions of the Tengger Tribe in Tosari, Pasuruan Regency. This study uses the Coordinated Management Of Meaning Theory approach of Barnett Pearce and Vernon Cronen with descriptive qualitative research methods with interpretive - explanatory research approaches. The results of this study indicate that the concept of management, Faith-Based Organization plays the role of Constitutive rules which is played in two communication messages, namely the first communication message inviting harmony in the internal ummah of each religion and secondly the message of peace in the community by being jointly involved in various activities-traditional activities of the Tengger Tribe. In the context of the regulatory rules, the Cultural Strength of the Tengger Tribe becomes the basis for a unifying identity/binding of fellow Tengger Tribe. In the concept of meaning, the Tengger Tribe also has cultural patrons (Cultural Patterns) who teach about their obedience to the teachings of their ancestors, known as the term "guguntuo." The concept of coordination in building relationships, religious leaders and traditional leaders (traditional shamans), as well as the government in Tosari District, emphasizes more on the value of seduluran (brotherhood) and the value of community harmony (togetherness and harmony)

Abstract

The limited knowledge and skills of the poor in orphanages cause problems of their economic independence. To minimize this problem, community service programs are implemented to empower the poor through entrepreneurship training and home-scale industry assistance. The approach method used is entrepreneurship training and assistance in the manufacture of seasonings in packaging that are selling value. The results of the training and mentoring in the manufacture of packaged spices include the product of four kinds of spices in packaged bottles, namely rawon, empal, red chili and green chili sauce. Entrepreneurship training and business planning are carried out in several activities including entrepreneurship motivation, recording business activities, making business plans, and calculating profits and losses in business. The implementation of the program can be carried out well because of the intensive assistance and cooperation between the orphanage as partner 1 and partner 2 in accommodating and marketing the home-scale industrial products fostered by the Mawaddah Warohmah orphanage.

Abstract

Abstrak: Islam di Indonesia [islam nusantara] merupakan islam yang telah mengalami proses perkawinan atau akulturasi dengan berbagai tradisi bangsa Indonesia. sublimasi dari nilai-nilai keislaman dan nilai-nilai keindosesiaan inilah yang menjadikan Islam diindonesia lebih dinamis yang tidak hanya berisi tentang ajaran syariat dan aqidah semata melainkan sampai pada ritus-ritus spiritualitas yang termanifestasi dalam berbagai tradisi. Salah satu model tradisi islam nusantara yang berkembang di Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur salah satunya adalah tradisi Bari’an. Tradisi Bari’an merupakan tradisi Islam nusantara yang telah dilakukan secara turun-temurun oleh warga masyarakat diberbagai daerah khususnya Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Tradisi ini merupakan bentuk akulturasi dan sublimasi nilai-nilai ke Indonesiaan (kebudayaan Jawa) dengan nilai-nilai ke Islaman yang diprakarsai oleh wali songo. Dalam pelaksanaannya Tradisi Bari’an terdapat perbedaaan antara di Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur baik itu dari sisi prosesi, pemimpin prosesi, pranata prosesi ritual Bari’an namun dari sisi tujuan dan makna tradisi / ritual Bari’an memiliki kesamaan tentang Keimanan kepada Allah dan mahluk ghoib, nilai keberkahan, shodaqohan sebagai aksi sosial, asas kekeluargaan dan kebersamaan. Tradisi ini sejatinya merupakan salah satu strategi dakwah wali songo dalam menyebarkan Islam di Nusantara dengan pendekatan kebudayaan. Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Simbolik, Tradisi Bari’an Abstract: Islamic religion in Indonesia or known as the Islam Nusantara is Islam that has experienced acculturation with various traditions of the Indonesian people. It is this sublimation of Islamic values ​​and Indonesian values ​​that makes Islam in Indonesia more dynamic which does not only contain the teachings of Shari'a and Aqeedah but only up to the rites of spirituality that are manifested in various traditions. One model of the Islamic tradition of the archipelago that developed in Central and East Java is one of which is the Bari’an tradition. The Bari'an tradition is an Islamic tradition of the archipelago which has been carried on for generations by citizens in various regions, especially Central and East Java. This tradition is a form of acculturation and sublimation of values ​​to Indonesia (Javanese culture) with Islamic values ​​initiated by Wali Songo. In the implementation of the Bari'an Tradition there are differences between Central and East Java both in terms of the procession, the procession leader, the procedure of the Bari'an ritual procession but in terms of the purpose and meaning of the tradition / ritual the Bari'an has similarities about the Faith in God and magical creature, the value of blessing, shodaqohan as social action, the principle of kinship and togetherness. Abstract

This program is intended to increase the capacity of knowledge, understanding and ability to improve personal branding through digital content as well as digital literacy for MA Miftahul Ulum Puntir Purwosari Pasuruan students in utilizing information and communication technology, namely smartphones and social media in a positive and maximum way. The results of the service show that students' understanding of personal branding and digital literacy is still relatively low, this can be seen based on questions and answers with training participants. Furthermore, comprehensive training related to optimizing personal branding through digital contexts and understanding related to digital literacy was given by a community service team who are members of the Pasuruan ICT volunteer community, informatics study program and communication science study program Yudharta University of Pasuruan. The results of this training show significant changes related to understanding and increasing digital content processing capabilities for personal branding and digital literacy through interviews and testimonials to participants.

Abstract

Waste is still a problem in Indonesia. Because of waste, especially organic waste, contributes greatly to climate change due to greenhouse gases. In the management of waste that is generally open damping, particularly in Pasuruan, until now is still a problem that has not been unsolved. Therefore, the author will be presented in the study of implementation of integrated waste management based on IT and obstacles faced during the mentoring process. This mentoring activity was carried out at four Waste Banks based on community, schools, and youth in Pasuruan Regency with Community-Based Research (CBR) approach. The results showed that the various activities of Waste Bank application management mentoring based on IT gained widespread acceptance and appreciation from the Manager of Waste Bank in Pasuruan Regency. However, in the process of transition from Waste Bank management from manual-based until there was a change by utilizing IT required a process, time as well as the willingness of Waste Bank Manager, so that these applications could be fully utilized. In addition, the different types of community and management differences developed in Waste Bank also affected in the utilization of this Waste Bank Application to be applied continuously in their community.

Abstract

Kajian ini menyajikan tentang hasil pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Ngalah Pasuruan melalui pendampingan integrated policyandmanagement system tata kelola sampah untuk mengurai permasalahan timbulan sampah di pesantren tersebut. Melalui pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR), hasil pendampingan ini mampu memberikan kontribusi dan membuat perubahan dalam mengintegrasikan kebijakan biro kebersihan dan kesehatan di Pesantren tersebut yang berimplikasi kepada peningkatan sinergi biro kebersihan dan kesehatan antara pengurus pusat dengan pengurus di 15 Asrama. Selain itu, melalui pendampingan ini telah mengubahn sistem tata kelola sampah dari model open dumping dan pembakaran sampah menjadi sistem manajemen tata kelola sampah terpadu dengan melakukan pemilahan pada sumbernya.
