Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara kreativitas guru dan hasil belajar kognitif, mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara kreativitas guru dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XII IPA dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kreativitas guru.Teknik Purposive digunakan dalam teknik sampling ini.Data diperoleh dari 37 siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 2, SMA Kristen 2, dan SMA Theresiana.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis korelasi menggunakan SPSS versi 0.18. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara kreativitas guru dan hasil belajar kognitif (pSig = 0,030; p <0,05). Artinya semakin tinggi hasil kreativitas guru semakin tinggi hasil belajar siswa.Nilai Pearson Correlation adalah 0,512 yang memiliki kategori cukup kuat.Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kreativitas guru adalah 1) kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana di sekolah masih minim dan mempengaruhi guru 2) kurangnya pelatihan yang diperoleh guru dan model pembelajaran inovatif berdampak pada pengetahuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang bersifat konstruktif.

Abstract

Argumentasi ilmiah penting untuk dikembangkan karena dapat melatih berpikir secara ilmiah, berkomunikasi, dan bertindak seperti ilmuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah dan mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa berdasarkan indikator. Penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 9 Salatiga sebagai subyek penelitian yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Materi pelajaran yang dipilih adalah zat aditif dan zat adiktif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan dan diuji validitas isi dan konstruk. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan dideskripsikan secara kualitatif dengan teknik triangulasi. Tahapan analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subyek memiliki kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah dengan kategori sangat baik (5%), baik (46%), cukup (41%), dan tidak baik (8%). Diketahui bahwa profil kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa berdasarkan indikator secara berurutan yaitu kemampuan pada claim (skor rata-rata: 2,68), rebuttal (skor rata-rata: 2,4), data (skor rata-rata: 2,24), dan warrant (skor rata-rata: 1,33).Scientific arguments are essential to developing because they can train to think scientifically, communicate, and act like scientists. This study aims to determine the ability of scientific argumentation. Moreover, describe the ability of students to scientific argumentation based on indicators. The study involved students of class B 8th grade in Junior High School 9 Salatiga as research subjects determined through a purposive random sampling technique. The subject matter chosen is additives and addictive substances. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and interviews. The research instrument was developed and tested for content and construct validity. Data were analyzed quantitatively and described qualitatively by triangulation techniques. Stages of data analysis include data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion making. The results showed that the subjects had the ability of scientific argumentation with top categories (5%), good (46%), sufficient (41%), and not good (8%). It was knowing that the profile of students' scientific argumentation abilities based on indicators in a sequence is the ability to claim (average rating: 2.68), rebuttal (average rating: 2.4), data (average rating: 2.24), and warrant (average rating: 1.33).

Abstract

This study is a type of an action class study. The purpose of this researches are used to apply the discovery learning model and smart case strategy in order to improve students’ cognitive learning results and to find out the improvement of students’ affective and psychomotor learning results by applying the discovery learning model and smart case strategy.  There were 21 students in VII C Class of SMP Kristen 2 Salatiga used as the samples. The instrument of this research is observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The descriptive analysis was employed in this study. The results of the cognitive learning result in cycle one show that the students’ percentage fulfilling the minimum criteria (KKM) of 75 is 57,14% and in cycle two it improves into 100%. The students’ psychomotor minimum criteria with a good minimum score (≥ 20) in cycle one reaches 90,47% and in cycle two it improves into 100%. The students’ percentage fulfilling the minimum criteria with a good minimum score (≥ 16) in cycle one is 87,71% and in cycle two it improves into 100%. Based on the results of this study, it is proven that the discovery learning model and smart case game could improve the students’ learning results and to train them to be skillful, active, and independent. Moreover, the students’ curiosity about the materials is so high that it will assist them in improving their learning results.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to improve the cognitive learning results and students’ learning motivation through the discovery learning model and bowling campus strategy, as well as applying the discovery learning model and bowling campus strategy in the energy material. This study was done in SMP Kristen 2 Salatiga by using the students from Class VII A as the subjects. The study used some instruments such as observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The descriptive analysis was employed in this study. The results of this study show that the percentage of the students’ cognitive learning results fulfilling the 75 competence standard (KKM) in cycle I is 52,38% and it becomes 85,71% in cycle II. The observation result of the students’ learning motivation in cycle I is 76, 19% students achieving good minimum category and it becomes 100% students achieving good minimum category. Based on the students’ perception data about their motivation, there are 100% students in cycle I and II achieving the good minimum category.  The results of applying the discovery learning model and bowling campus strategy are capable to make the students to be more active in the learning process, to improve their motivation during the learning process, to facilitate them to comprehend the material concept and to review the materials in order to improve their cognitive learning results.                    Keywords: Discovery Learning, Bowling Campus Strategy, Learning and Motivation Results
