Abstract

Abstrac Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is one of the most Indonesian favored fruit, because the ripe fruit (ripe) has a distinctive taste, sweet, sour and fresh. The main problem encountered in the cultivation of mangosteen is to provide theseeds. Weak mangosteen plant roots decrease growth level. This study aims to determine the interaction of palm oil empty bunches compost with Arbuscular Mycorrhiza on the seed growth of mangosteen and get the best dose. This research was conductet AgricultureFaculty, University of Riau campus Bina Widya Tampan, Pekanbaru lastedOctober 2012 until January 2013. The results of shows that by using TKKS compost with a dose of 150 g/polybag and the use of mycorrhizae 15g/polybag is better than giving 150 g/polybag and mhycorrizhal 20 g/polybag because the results are not significantly different. To get the combination use of empty fruit bunches of oil palm compost and mycorrhizal needs to be done in a long time , to get more tangible results. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the gift effect of sawdust ash and green manure legume species against vegetative growth of upland rice in peatlands and get the best dose. The research was conducted at the experimental farm peat Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted on January to June 2013. The research was done by using Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) factorial 4 x 4, the first factor that is the dose of sawdust ash (0 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 7,5 ton/ha and 10 ton/ha) and the second factor the dose of green manure legume species (0 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha, and 15 ton/ha). Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance and then further tested by Duncans New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. Visible indicator of treatment parameters plant height, plant dry weight, the maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, flag leaf length and age out panicles. The results showed ash sawdust giving 5 ton/ha to 10 ton/ha green manure legume species to increase vegetative growth of upland rice which give significantly different results for plant height, plant dry weight, number of tillers and the maximum length of the flag leaf. Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the effect of oil palm empty fruit bunches compost mixed with leguminosa cover crop compost and phosphorus fertilizers at some compositions and to get the best mixed toward growth and result of sorghum. This research was conducted at the experiment land of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University, Pekanbaru, from December 2013 to April 2014. This research used factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisted of two factors and three replications. As for the treatment is: factor 1 is oil palm empty fruit bunches compost mixed with leguminosa cover crop compost (K) consist of four level, K1= 5 ton/ha oil palm empty fruit bunches compost, K2= 3,75 ton/ha oil palm empty fruit bunches compost + 1,25 ton/ha leguminosa cover crop compost, K3= 2,5 ton/ha oil palm empty fruit bunches compost + 2,5 ton/ha leguminosa cover crop compost, K4= 1,25 ton/ha oil palm empty fruit bunches compost + 3,75 ton/ha leguminosa cover crop compost. Factor 2 is phosphorus fertilizers (P) consist of three level, P0= without TSP, P1= 30 kg/ha TSP, P2= 60 kg/ha TSP. The results of this research showed that 1,25 ton/ha oil palm empty fruit bunches compost mixed with 3,75 ton/ha leguminosa cover crop compost and 60 kg/ha phosphorus fertilizers provide the best results for 245,20 g/m2(2,45 ton/ha) increased by 18,27% compared without P and is significant for the parameters of plant height, dry weight of plants, result per m2 and sorghum biomass.   Keywords: oil palm empty fruit bunches compost, leguminosa cover crop compost, phosphorus fertilizers, Sorghum bicolor L.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect of rice husk ash and some types of manure on the growth and production of sweet corn and get a dose of the best in peat. Research has been carried out from June to September 2015 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Village Rimbo Panjang, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is the rice husk ash (A), which consists of 4 levels, namely A1: 1.5 kg/plot (2.5 ton/ha), A2: 3 kg/plot (5 ton/ha), A3: 4.5 kg/plot (7.5 ton/ha), A4: 6 kg/plot (10 ton/ha) and the second factor is the manure (P) consisting of three types, namely P1: manure chicken, P2: manure goat and P3: cow manure. Parameters measured were the relative growth rate, leaf area, the ratio of crown roots, plant dry weight, while the male flowers appear, the time appears the female flowers, harvest, heavy perplot cob, cob without husk length, diameter and weight cob cob without husk. The results showed giving             7.5 ton/ha asp and chicken manure showed results highest production ie 9.93 kg/plot (16.55 ton/ha) Keywords: sweet corn, rice husk ash, manure, peat

Abstract

The research aims to know the effect of giving Trichokompos rice straw and phosphorus manure and to obtain the better dose for the growth and the product of soybean plants. The research used Random Design Group (RAK) that consists of two factors. The first factor is Trichokompos rice straw consists of four levels, such as 0 ton/ha (T0), 2,5 ton/ha (T1), 5 ton/ha (T2), 7,5 ton/ha (T3), and the second factor is phosphorus manure (TSP) that consists of three levels such as 0 kg/ha P2O5 (P0), 30 kg/ha P2O5 (P1), 60 kg/ha P2O5 (P2). The data gained has been analyzed by ANOVA and followed by Duncan’s multiple range test at the level of 5 %. The result showed that the combination treatment of Trichokompos rice straw and phosphorus manure gave no significant effect on all parameters of obvervation. Trichokompos  rice straw 5 ton/ha and manure P2O5 60 kg/ha get the result that tend to be higher in the number of primary branch, dry weight of plants, the number of pithy pods per plant, the number of seeds per plant, seed product per m2, and the weight of 100 dry seeds.   Keywords : Trichokompos rice straw, manure phosphorus, soybean

Abstract

This research aimed to study the giving effect of rice husk ash with good NPK fertilizer towards the growth and production of sweet corn in peat soil. This experiment was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar and carried out in Juni until September 2014. This research was carried out experimentally using randomized block design (RBD) non factorial consisted of 6 treatments with 4 repetitions which resulting 24 experimental plots. Each experimental unit consisted of 24 plants and 6 plants as samples. The treatments were: AN1: without rice husk ash with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN2: rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN3: rice husk ash 6 ton/ha (2700 g/plot) with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN4: without rice husk ash with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot), AN5: rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot), AN6: rice husk ash 6 ton/ha (2700 g/plot) with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot). The results of experiment that was obtained using analysis of variance were tested further with  DNMRT (Duncan's New Multiple Range Test) at the level 5%. Based on the results of this research, the recommended doses are rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) and NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot).   Keywords: sweet corn, rice husk ash, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the effect of rice straw and ratio of Urea, TSP, KCL on the growth and production of soybean. This research has been conducted in the experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau, from January to April 2016. This study used randomized block design (RAK), arrange in a factorial with 2 factors, factors of rice straw mulch with 3 levels doses of 0 kg/Ha, 5 kg/Ha, 10 kg/Ha and factor ratio of Urea, TSP, KCL with 4 levels doses of 0 kg/Ha, 25, 50, 50 kg/Ha, 50, 100, 100 kg/Ha, 75, 150, 150 kg/Ha, two factors combined to obtain 12 combined treatment, for each treatment consisted of three replications, in order to get 36 experimental units. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance and significantly different continued with Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. Each experimental unit consisted of 52 plants, only seven plants become sample. The parameters measured were the number of the effectiveness root nodules per plant, the growth rate of plants, weeds, number of pods per plant, pods percentage pithy, dry seed weight/m2, and the weight of 100 seeds. Research data show that rice straw dose of 10 ton/Ha and ratio of Urea, TSP, KCl doses of 50, 100, 100 kg/Ha produces a dry seed weight of 2,69 tons/Ha, higher than without treatments is 1,3 tons/Ha.  Keywords: soybeans, organic mulch, rice straw.

Abstract

The research aimed to examine the interaction of fertilizer and NPK organotriba in peat on the growth and yield of sweet corn as well as getting the best dose. Research has been carried out in the garden Experiment Riau University Faculty of Agriculture of the month of February until May 2016. This study used a randomized block design in the form of factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is fertilizer organotriba consists of 5 levels without organotriba, 2,5 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 7,5 ton/ha and 10 ton/ha. The second factor is a 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer which consists of three levels without NPK, 150 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha, two factors combined to obtain 15 combined treatment and the respective foreign re-treatment at 3 times, in order to obtain 45 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 32 plants, six plants sampled. Data were analyzed statistically and continued using DNMRT at 5% parameters measured were the rate of plant growth, leaf area, the ratio of editorial roots, dry weight of plant, time appear male flowers and time appear female flowers, harvesting, production per plot, heavy with the husk, weight without husk, diameter and length of the cob plant sweet corn, data results showed that administration of organotriba dose of 10 ton/ha and NPK fertilizer dose of 300 kg/ha produce weight of 10,7 ton/ha higher than that of the untreated is 2,05 ton /ha  Keywords: sweet corn, Peatland, Fertilizers Organotriba

Abstract

One of exfort to increase tomato productivity is considering the cultivation aspect and using high yield variety which can adapt finely on it recent invironment. The other ways to increase the productivity is though plant breeding whis is the aim is to find and create new variety from certain population. The research aim to get tomatoes genotype that have fine growth and productivity at the low land which eventually can be created as new variety. The research held for 5 months. The research arranged experimentally using Randomined Block Design (RBD) consist of 24 plant and 10 samples. Treatment are Ratna Variety, Intan Variety, IPB T3-8-10, IPB T57-3, IPB T65-6-2012 and IPB T30-4-4. Parameters are plant height, stim girth, fruith longth, flowering date, harvesting date, fruit girth, weight per fruit and total yield per plant. Result shows that genotype of IPB T3-8-10 and IPB T-30-44 Had yield better than Ratna variety and Intan. A highest total of fruit weight per plant on genotype IPB T3-8-10 (1144 g), IPB T3-44 (796 g), IPB T57-3 (734.6 g) and IPB T65-6-2012 (605.6 g).   Keyword : Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.,Variety, Genotype, Growth

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of rice husk ash and empty oil palm bunches (EOPB) compost on the growth and production of field rice at hall of oil palm area on peatland. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agricultural Faculty University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar from June to October 2014. The design used in this research are arranged in a Factorial Completely Randomized Block Design (RBD) consiting of two factor with three replication. The first factor are: Aplication of rice husk ash (S) with 4 dosage level (tons/ha), namely: S0 (0), S1 (2,5), S2 (5), S3 (7,5) and the second faktor are: Aplication of empty full bunch compost (T) with 3 dosage level (tons/ha), namely: T0 (0), T1 (2,5), T2 (5). The data obtained by analysis of variance (ANOVA) was tested further by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The result showed the aplication of rice husk ash 5 tons/ha and empty oil palm bunches compost 5 tons/ha gives the highest yield in vegetative and generative phase, but equal by aplication of rice husk ash 0 tons/ha and empty oil palm bunches compost 5 tons/ha in generative phase. Empty oil palm bunches compost          5 tons/ha without rice husk ash did not differ significantly with the aplication of rice husk ash 5 – 7,5 tons/ha and empty oil palm bunches compost 5 tons/ha at dry weight /plot.
