Abstract

INCREASING THE CAPACITY OF VILLAGE COMMUNITIES ON PLASTIC WASTE MANAGEMENT IN THE TOURISM VILLAGE OF SUAK, SIDOMULYO DISTRICT, SOUTH LAMPUNG REGENCY. Based on the situation analysis, the partners identified problems as follows: (1). The problem of plastic waste is still relatively high, so plastic waste management activities are needed to reduce negative impacts, (2). The condition of the community's knowledge capacity as the manager of village tourism in managing plastic waste has not been well identified, (3). The role of village tourism management groups in managing plastic waste is not yet fully optimal. Training and outreach are solutions provided to the target group, in this case the village community group in Suak Village. In the training, knowledge and ways to identify types of plastic waste are provided, select and identify potential plastic waste into various processed products. In practice, several methods are used, namely: (1) lectures, and (2) questions and answers to further improve the training participants' understanding of the material presented. From the activities that have been carried out, the following conclusions are drawn: (1). In the aspect of training implementation achievement, it is known that the training process is in a good category where the target number of training participants is achieved, the training objectives achieved, the material targets that have been planned and the participants' ability to master the material is in the good category, (2). In terms of changes in the knowledge of the imaginary group, it is known that there has been a change in the degree of an average of 20.5%, where the three indicators used have also increased in the range of 15.4% to 23.1%.

Abstract

This correlational study aims at seeing the effect of leadership style and motivation towards employee performance.  A number of 53 sample was selected from General and Finance Bureau at Lampung University.  Data were collected using questionnaire and were analyzed using multiple linier regression with the help of SPSS 17.0 statistical software.  Result of hypothesis testing shows t-value = 2.374 and t-table = 1.67655.  In addition, for the motivation variable on employee performance reveals t-value = 7.283 and t-table = 1.67655. The simultaneous testing altogether obtained statistical results of  F-value for 40.288 and F-table = 3.18.  The evidence means that there is a significant effect either partially or simultaneously between the leadership style and motivation on  employee performance of the General and Finance Bureau of Lampung University.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of Lampung University employees, through leadership style and work motivation. This study used a correlational quantitative approach. The population of this study was all employees of education staff at the General and Financial Devision at Lampung University of 110 people. Samples were taken purposively, as many as 53 employees. Data was collected using survey methods. The data were analyzed by simple and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 17.0 statistical software. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis of the influence of leadership style on employee performance, the results of t-count of 2.374 and t-table of 1.67655 were obtained. Furthermore, the motivation variables on employee performance, the results of t-count were 7.283 and t-table was 1.67655. Simultaneous testing or jointly obtained results of F-count statistics of 40,288 and F-table 3.18. The results of the analysis can be concluded that employee performance at the General and Financial Bureau of Lampung University is influenced by motivation.

Abstract

The Rice Paddy Print Program is a village program arranged by the Jiwa Baru Village Government which aims to maximize the use of untouched land into productive land and also to turn Jiwa Baru Village as a rice-producing village in Lubai District. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Village Government's performance in realizing the village development programs through the implementation of the rice paddy printing program in Jiwa Baru Village, Lubai District, Muara Enim Regency. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research. The data was collected by means of observations, interviews and documentation of informants who were directly involved in this activity. The result of this study indicates that the performance of the Jiwa Baru Village Government in implementing the rice paddy printing program has been run effectively in accordance with the performance effectiveness measurement criteria, namely the target approach where the performance effectiveness highly focuses on results. Apparently, the program output is quite good, as evidenced by the realization of the rice paddy print in Jiwa Baru Village, and so likely the program outcome which has also been good due to the increasing participation of the community and the conditions of fulfilled food needs for them, especially the increasing of rice production in Jiwa Baru Village. This Rice Paddy printing program offers a positive impact for the community, farmers and also the Jiwa Baru Village Government. However, this rice paddy printing program still has some problems in terms of providing facilities and infrastructures.

Abstract

This article analyzes the political practices of oligarchy and elite politics in the context of the 2020 local elections in Indonesia. Despite the high number of Covid-19 cases, Indonesia continued to hold simultaneous local elections, making the regional elections even more controversial. The significance of this research lies in understanding the existence of oligarchic and elite political practices in Indonesia's election administration. The article employs a qualitative method using desk study by analyzing relevant literature to answer the research problem. The novelty of this research is in providing an analysis of the political practices of oligarchy and elite politics in the context of the 2020 local election. The findings indicate that the 2020 local elections were characterized by the re-strengthening of kinship politics, high single candidates, and the involvement of actors with oligarchic interests. These are indications that oligarchic and elite politics are returning to dominate election administration in Indonesia. The implications of this research are essential for understanding the challenges of democratization in Indonesia and the need to strengthen democratic institutions and practices.

Abstract

In order to break the chain of the Covid-19 virus, the government recommends schools lockdown and implementing online learning. The research problem formulation is as follows: (1). How is the trend of online learning studies during the covid-19 pandemic at universities in Indonesia? (2). What topics have developed in studying online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at universities in Indonesia? The research was carried out as a literature review using bibliometric analysis of several sources of scientific publication data. The data in this study were obtained through literature collection techniques and their references which were obtained directly from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The data was extracted using the Publish or Perish tool and then analyzed with the VosViewer tool. From the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the distribution of authors who study online learning topics during the pandemic has not yet appeared to form a polarization of authorship networks that explore these topics in depth. Meanwhile, the trends that have formed in online learning during the pandemic seem to condense into several topics.
