Abstract

COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered corona virus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Case fatality rates (CFR) and recovery rates are important readouts during epidemics and pandemics. In this article, an international analysis was performed on the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Data were retrieved from accurate databases according to the user’s guide of data sources for patient registries, CFR and recovery rates were calculated for each country. A comparison of CFR between countries was observed for 28th April 2020. The confirmed case fatality ratio (CFR) is the total number of deaths divided by the total number of confirmed cases at one point in time. Within Southeasth Asia, the confirmed CFR, as reported by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is 2.3%, and RR is 25.02%. Singapore has the highest number of confirmed cases, but has CFR close to zero. Indonesia has the highest value of CFR 8.13%, and has value of RR 13.18% lower than Malaysia’s RR 67.63%. Indonesia’s confirmed Covid-19 cases are rising extremely rapidly, and it now tops the region in terms of deaths from the virus. Meanwhile, Vietnam, Kambodia, and Laos have no death of confirmed cases. Vietnam and Singapore have shown their ability to managed the pandemic with its promt and aggressive response, they have been hailed as a global public-health model.

Abstract

Construction projects are inherently dangerous and can lead to accidents. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the potential hazards of K3 in the work process of building and building components, with an emphasis on mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, physical hazards and electrical hazards. This study uses an observational method to describe, the aim is to determine the potential hazards of K3 from the process of working on structural parts and the process of working on parts of the building. This research was conducted on the construction project of the Agung Lubk Pakam Hospital. The results showed that the greatest K3 hazard potential was found in structural work, namely in the casting process, such as falling from a concrete barrel, being hit by a concrete barrel, exposed to steel slings, exposed to iron. sheets, etc. The concrete dough that falls off the scaffold is exposed to dust, vibration, heat and noise. In construction work, the biggest K3 hazard potential is in roof work, where workers are exposed to formwork and iron rings, their feet and hands are clamped by formwork and iron rings, and workers' hands are scraped off by iron and iron rings on log formwork. , respiratory problems, skin and eye irritation due to waterproof coating, exposure to dust, vibration, heat and noise. It is very important to consult with workers about the use of PPE, the project must also make a K3 mark in every dangerous work area and give sanctions to those who do not use PPE.

ABSTRACT Nurses are medical personnel who provide medical services to the community to support the health and recovery of patients. every hospital always needs a nurse and they have a high responsibility for the tasks they do and are able to show good work performance to the relevant agencies, nurses must also always maintain their attitude in front of patients, superiors and with fellow nurses so that relationships which is run running as desired with comprehensive nursing care is also a job that has a high level of stress, and a workload for nurses. Workload can be interpreted as an activity that must be completed by a person or group of people during a certain period of time under normal circumstances. In measuring the level of workload felt by a person, the proportion of work time charged to nurses in completing their work must be balanced. The problem of workload and work stress affect the level burnout experienced by a person. Job stress has a relationship with the increasing demands of the workload. Prolonged work stress with unstable emotional conditions will indirectly trigger a decrease in work competitiveness. All types of stress are basically caused by a person's lack of understanding of each other's capabilities. When someone does not know their capabilities, this triggers the occurrence of symptoms related to work stress. Work stress is associated with accidents, workplace violence, organizational strain in the form of absenteeism, decreased work performance, increased injury rates and employee turnover. Nursing is a profession that has a high risk of being affected by work stress.
