Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap prestasi belajar dan kepuasan pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif siswa, dan (2) membandingkan keefektifan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan tipe NHT terhadap prestasi belajar dan kepuasan pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif siswa SMK. Penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest with nonequivalent group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Ma’arif 1 Nanggulan Kulon Progo. Sampel dipilih sebanyak dua kelas dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Kelompok eksperimen 1 diberi perlakuan TGT dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberi perlakuan NHT. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan kuisioner. Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Kuisioner digunakan untuk mengetahui kepuasan belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan NHT efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepuasan pembelajaran siswa SMK, dan (2) metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT lebih efektif dibanding metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap prestasi belajar dan kepuasan pembelajaran kelistrikan otomotif siswa SMK. Kata Kunci: metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT, metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT, prestasi belajar, kepuasan pembelajaran THE EFFECT OF THE COOPERATIVE METHOD OF TGT AND NHT ON THE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AND SATISFACTION IN AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICITY OF THE SMK Abstract This study aims to: (1) investigate the effects of the application of the cooperative learning method of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type and that of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type on the students’ learning achievement and satisfaction in automotive electricity, and (2) compare the effectiveness of cooperative learning methods of the TGT type and that of the NHT type of learning achievement and learning satisfaction of automotive electrical vocational students. This was a quasi-experimental study employing the pretest-posttest-with-nonequivalent-group design. The research population comprised all Grade XI students of SMK Ma’arif 1 Nanggulan, Kulon Progo. The sample, consisting of two classes, was established by means of the simple random sampling technique. Experimental Group 1 received a treatment of the cooperative learning of the TGT type and Experimental Group 2 received a treatment of the cooperative learning of the NHT type. The data were collected through tests and questionnaires. The tests were administered to assess the students’ learning achievement before and after the treatment. The questionnaires were administered to investigate their learning satisfaction before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed by means of the t-test. The results of the study showed that: (1) TGT cooperative learning method and types of NHT effective in terms of learning achievement and learning satisfaction of vocational students, and (2) TGT cooperative learning methods is more effective than NHT cooperative learning methods to learning achievement and learning satisfaction of automotive electrical vocational students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan dukungan lingkungan terhadap program kelas jarak jauh SMK yang diselenggarakan dipondok pesantren Darul Qur’an Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, 2) mendeskripsikan input program kelas jarak jauh SMK jika ditinjau dari pendidik serta dukungan sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki oleh pondok pesantren Darul Qur’an Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, 3) mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran kelas jauh SMK yang diselenggarakan oleh pondok pesantren Darul Qur’an Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, dan 4) mengetahui keberhasilan program pembelajaran kelas jauh jika dilihat dari segi manfaat yang di dapat oleh peserta didik, ketrampilan peserta didik serta persentase lulusan dari tahun ke tahun yang diselenggrakan oleh pondok pesantren Darul Qur’an di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul.Penelitian ini merupkan jenis penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model CIPP. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 1 kyai, 1 kepala sekolah, 3 wali murid, 20 orang guru dan 59 siswa kelas 1 dan kelas 2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik angket, observasi dan wawancara. Angket divalidasi dengan validitas konstrak (constract validity). Selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dengan menggunakan bantuam SPSS 16.00 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) mendapatkan respon sangat baik dari masyarakat karena dapat membantu masyarakat bagi ekonomi lemah untuk menyekolahkannya ke jenjang sekolah yang tinggi, 2) rekruitmen tenaga pendidik yang sangat mengedepankan kompetensi kualitas dan kapabilitas hal ini dapat dilihat dari kemampuan pendidik, yaitu pemahaman pendidik mengenai konsep pembelajaran dalam penyusunan rencana pembelajaran dengan hasil 70% dengan kategori sangat baik dan aspek pengelolaan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan hasil 75% dengan kategori sangat baik. Secara umum sarana dan prasarana yang ada di SMK Darul Qur’an sudah sangat memadai untuk menunjang lancarnya proses pembelajaran, 3) secara keseluruhan kegiatan pembelajaran di SMK sudah berjalan sangat baik, hal ini dapat dilihat dari pendidik dan peserta didik. Dari pendidik penerapan strategi pembelajaran oleh pendidik sudah sangat baik dengan hasil 70%, penggunaan media juga sangat baik dengan hasil 90% dan penyampaian materipun sangat baik dengan hasil 90%. Evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran meliputi prosedur penilaian juga sangat baik dengan hasil 90% dan menerapkan prinsip penilaian juga sudah sangat baik dengan hasil 90%. Sedangkan dari peserta didik kegiatan pelakasanaan pembelajaran sangat baik dengan hasil 78% dan pengayaan juga sangat baik dengan hasil 78%, 4) keberhasilan pelaksanaan program sudah berjalan sangat baik hal ini dapat dilihat dari peserta didik dalam hasil belajarnya. Dalam muatan lokal mampu membaca menulis Al-Qur’an, hafal Al-Qur’an Bahasa Arab. Pendidikan life skill mampu merakit komputer, instal berdakwah dengan baik. Prestasi akademik maupun muatan lokal menjuari tingkat kecamatan, kabupaten dan propinsi. Tingkat kelulusan peserta didik setiap tahun mencapai 100%. LONG CLASS PROGRAM EVALUATION SMK PESANTREN DARUL QURAN IN DISTRIC GUNUNGKIDULAbstractThis study is aimed: 1) describe the environment to support classroom programs remotely hosted dipondok SMK Darul Quran Gunung Kidul, 2) describe the program input distance vocational classes when viewed from educators and support infrastructure boarding school owned by Darul Quran Gunung Kidul, 3) describe the process of classroom learning program organized by the far SMK Darul Quran Islamic boarding Gunung Kidul, and 4) determine the success of classroom learning much when viewed in terms of benefits in the can by the learner, the skills of learners and the percentage of graduates from year to year boarding school diselenggrakan by Darul Quran in Gunung Kidul. This was the type of research study evaluating the CIPP model. The subjects were clerics, principals, parents, 20 teachers and 59 students of class 1 and class 2. The data was collected by using questionnaires, observations and interviews. Validated questionnaire with construct validity (constract validity). Furthermore, the data were analyzed with product moment correlation technique. The results of the study show that: 1) get a very good response from the public because it can help for low-income people to send him to the high school level, 2) recruitment of educators who is promoting competence and capability of this quality can be seen from the ability of educators, namely understanding educators about the learning concepts in the preparation of lesson plans at 70% with very good categories and aspects of management of learning activities with results of 75% with a very good category. In general, the existing infrastructure at SMK Darul Quran is very adequate to support the smooth process of learning, 3) overall learning activities at SMK has been running very well, it can be seen from the educators and learners. From the application of instructional strategies educators by educators has been very good at 70%, the use of media is also very good with 90% and delivering results materipun very well with results of 90%. Evaluation of learning activities include the assessment procedure is also very good with the results of 90% and apply the principles of assessment has also been very good with 90% results. While exercising the activities of learners learning very well with the results of 78% and enrichment are also very well with the results of 78%, 4) the successful implementation of the program seen students with graduation rates of students every year who reach 100% and ratings are not out of the SMK half of all vocational schools in the district Gunungkidul, the interactions between learners are able to speak English and Arabic in addition to the achievement of students in various fields. Overall course grade vocational boarding school deep in Darul Quran has been going well.

Abstract

Preliminary study in Trenggalek city showed that there was a mismatch between the students’ skills learned at vocational high schools with their fields of work. It indicated that the role of vocational career center as a mediator between school and industry have not maximally yet. This study aimed to (1) describe how the vocational career center do its jobdesk, (2) categorize its performance, and (3) find the deficiency from the implementation of a career center in vocational high schools. The data analysis used a descriptive analysis from both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The result of study showed that the jobdesk of career center were collecting graduates databases, grouping the students who want to look for a job or study to higher education, and facilitating the students and world of work in the labour recruitment process. The performance of career center in Trenggalek Regency was good. From some predictors, those were job vacancy information, cooperation with world of work, alumni networking, data collection, communication between alumni, and alumni contribution, the career center’s aspect that need to be upgraded was the cooperation with the world of work.

Abstract

The research aims: (1) to produce conveyor trainer kit equipped with a monitoring system along with its work performance, (2) to know the appropriateness and effectiveness of the use of conveyor trainer kit and module of PLC practical learning. This study is a development research using ADDIE model based on Branch, RB. The steps of this study are: analysis, designing, developing, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection is conducted through observation, survey, and test by using the instruments: observation sheets, questionnaire, and examination. The data are analyzed descriptively using nonparametric test of difference by Mann Whitney. The finding shows: (1) the product of conveyor trainer kit equipped with monitoring system has good work performance; (2) conveyor trainer kit and the module are very appropriate, and the implementation of conveyor trainer kit and module of PLC practical learning can improve student learning outcomes in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects effectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan asesmen instalatur listrik (AILIS) berbasis industri jasa konstruksi ketenagalistrikan. Penelitian AILIS dikembangkan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: desain atau perencanaan, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba diperluas. Tahap desain meliputi: kegiatan prasurvei, studi hasil-hasil penelitian, analisis masalah, dan analisis kinerja instalatur listrik. Kegiatan tahap uji coba terbatas meliputi: validasi pakar dan pengguna, analisis dan revisi. Uji coba diperluas meliputi: pengumpulan data, analisis, revisi, dan diseminasi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan lembar observasi. Subjek uji coba berjumlah 210 responden para manajer perusahaan industri usaha jasa konstruksi ketenagalistrikan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Teknik analisis data untuk memvalidasi bahwa AILIS yang dihasilkan fit digunakan confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan AILIS sangat baik untuk mengakses kinerja instalatur listrik industi usaha jasa konstruksi ketenagalistrikan, dengan indikator perancangan instalasi listrik, pengkonstruksian instalasi listrik, komisioning instalasi listrik, pengoperasian, dan pemeliharaan instalasi listrik.Kata kunci: asesmen, confirmatory factor analysis, instalatur listrik  AN ASSESSMENT OF ELECTRICITY CONSTRUCTION BASED ON THE NEED OF SERVICE INDUSTRY OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLER Abstract The aim of this research was to produces an assessment of electricity construction service industrial needs-based electrical installer (AILIS). The research was developed through three stages, namely: the design, the limited trial, and expanded trials. The design consists of: pre-survey, studies on the research findings, problem analysis and analysis of electric installer performance. The limited trial included: validation of the AILIS through expert judgment and the user, analysis and revision. The expanded trial included: data collecting, analysis, revision, and dissemination. The research instruments consisting of a questionnaire and observation sheets were distributed to capture the data needed for the analysis. The subjects for the implementation were 210 respondents as the managers of electricity construction service industrial companies in West Sumatra Province. The CFA was used to verify that the developed model fit the AILIS. The finding shows that AILIS is excellent at assessing electrical installer performance in the electricity construction service industry, with indicator the design of electrical installation, the construction of electrical installation, the commissioning of electrical installation, the operation, and the maintenance of electrical installation. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi menggunakan model CIPPO (context, input, process, product, and outcomes) yang bertujuan mengungkapkan tingkat employability lulusan SMK 4 tahun dengan menggunakan SMK 3 tahun sebagai base line. Sampel penelitian adalah delapan SMK 4 tahun dan delapan SMK 3 tahun dengan melibatkan 544 orang sebagai subyek penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kurikulum SMK 4 tahun dan 3 tahun menggunakan kurikulum nasional yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan Dunia Usaha Dunia Industri (DU/DI); (2) Kompetensi lulusan SMK 4 tahun seluruhnya berkategori sangat baik, sedangkan SMK 3 tahun 64% sangat baik; (3) menurut DU/DI, lulusan SMK 4 tahun unggul dalam kedisiplin, keuletan, kemampuan teori, kemampuan praktek, rasa percaya diri, ketelitian, kreativitas, dan kepemimpinan; (4) Kompetensi guru SMK 4 tahun unggul dalam membimbing siswa, menghasilkan bahan ajar, mengembangkan bengkel, dan membangun kerja sama dengan DU/DI; (5) sarana dan prasarana SMK 3 dan 4 tahun memiliki kemiripan kondisi; (6) pembiayaan SMK 4 tahun melibatkan alumni sedangkan SMK 3 tahun tidak; (7) Kecepatan mendapat pekerjaan, jumlah lulusan yang bekerja, dan penghasilan lulusan SMK 4 tahun lebih baik dari pada SMK 3 tahun; dan (8) Kepuasan kerja lulusan SMK 4 tahun lebih baik daripada lulusan SMK 3 tahun. EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF 4-YEAR PROGRAM POLICY OF VOCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL IN IMPROVING GRADUATES’ EMPLOYABILITYAbstractThe aim of this research is to disclose the employability level of 4-year Vocational Secondary School (or Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK)) graduates by using 3-year SMK as the base-line. This research is an evaluation research using CIPPO (context, input, process, product, and outcomes) model. The sample of the research is eight 4-year SMK and eight 3-year SMK, and it involves 544 persons as the research subjects. The data were collected by observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation, and analyzed quantitatively by using descriptive statistic analysis. The research result shows that: (1) 4-year and 3-year SMKs are using national curriculum developed based on the needs of Bussiness Insdustrial Performer (DU/DI), (2) the competency of all (100%) the 4-year SMK graduates are ‘very good’, while only 64% 3-year SMK graduates is ‘very good’, (3) based on DU/DI’s stand point, the 4-year SMK graduates is better in 8 aspects (discipline, tenacuty, theoretical knowledge, practical skill, self-independence, carefullness,  creativity and leadership), (4) 4-year SMK teacher is better in guiding the students, producing learning material, developing workshop, and cooperating with DU/DI, (5) 4-year SMK has similiar condition of facilities with 3-year SMK, (6) 4-year SMK funding system is better than the 3-year SMK by involving the alumni, (7) 4-year SMK graduate is better in number of working graduates, income, and speed to get jobs, (8) 4-year SMK graduate are more satisfied with their job than the 3-year graduate.
