Abstract

The existence of competition between chemical and traditional drugs has resulted in increasingly being displaced from the market. In addition, another problem that traditional medicine has not been widely used for both self-medication and formal health services is that most of the efficacy of traditional medicine has not been scientifically tested. Therefore, it is very important to do an analysis through research. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of traditional medicine PT. Amanah Berkah Kencana in improving health and body immunity. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a cross- sectional approach. The main informants in this study were consumers of traditional medicine PT. Amanah Berkah Kencana. This research was conducted in North Sumatra from December 2021 to February 2022. The results of the study explain that 82.5% strongly agree. The results of this percentage show a very good picture for consumers who use Haseda traditional medicine in maintaining health and increasing human immunity. The remaining 17.5% do not agree because of lack of public education and knowledge about the use and benefits of traditional medicine for health. For health observers, there should be socialization to the public about the use of traditional medicines.

This virus is a new variant of the corona virus that broke out in 2002 which is known by people as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). Then this new type of corona virus was known as SARS-CoV-2 and the name of the disease was known as COVID-19. According to reports until March 2020 the SARS-CoV-2 virus has infected 90,308 people in China and the death rate has reached 3,087 people. COVID-19 was detected in Indonesia for the first time in early March 2020. The rate of spread of COVID-19 was very fast within a few months, the number of positive patients with COVID-19 in August 2020 reached 172,053 cases. COVID-19 is very contagious and spreads quickly, so to avoid COVID-19 it is necessary to do 3M (wear a mask, keep your distance and wash your hands). Because it has been months but the plague has not ended, the whole world has begun to take a stand to initiate new policies in people's daily lives. This policy is known as the New Normal Era.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program is one of the research programs that was carried out in 2021 in the Deli Tua Health Center work area. This program was conducted to validate the prototype of the tuberculosis monitoring system. In 2020 the number of new tuberculosis (TB) cases (notified TB) in the working area of the Deli Tua Health Center reached 143 cases with a success rate of 76% and MDR TB reaching 15%. This decrease in cases was caused by: 1) taking medication on time and the wrong dose of MDR TB treatment and 2) non-adherence to taking medication. To solve the problem, google earth mapping and calendar documentation have been applied. The results of the implementation showed that there was a significant difference in the completeness of treatment before and after the intervention (RR=2.21; 95%CI: 1.32-3.69), the cure rate for tuberculosis cases (RR=1.87; 95%CI: 1 .17-2.99), treatment drop-out rate (RR=1.77; 95%CI: 1.07-2.95), and mortality rate (p<0.01).
