Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the students’mistakes based on Newman error analysis. Newman Error type consists of reading error, understanding the mattererror, the transformation error, processing skillserror, and writing down the answers errors. Qualitative research uses to descriptive describe the symptoms or the circumstances of the students in solving the matter on integral application. The research was conducted in the S-1 Study Program of Mathematics Education in 2017/2018 with the subject as many as 6 students who have low, medium and high competency respectively 2 students. The researcher gave two questions about the application integral to the students and then the results were analyzed and interviews were conducted to obtain information on students errors in solving problems.The analysis result shows that studentswith low competency experienced in reading error, comprehension error, transformation error, process skills error, and encoding error. This is because the students do not really understand the integral application materials. The students with medium competency in an underwenterror in process skills and writing the final answers. While the high-competence students had an error in writing the final answer. Overall, most students experienced errors at the stage of understanding the problem. This happens because the students do not read and understand the questions carefully so the students are not able to understand the matter. In the end the students make mistakes of writing down the answers

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of students by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subjects of this research are the student of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 5 Pekanbaru at odd semester of academic years 2018/2019 wich total number of participant are 36 students, consists of 17 male students and 19 female students with heterogeneous academic achievement. This research have two cycles, each have four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument consist of learning materials used include Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Student Work Sheets and instruments for collecting data are observation sheets and test of mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis and descriptive statistics analysis. From the analysis of observation sheets, it can be seen that there is improvement of learning process. The precentage and frequency of student who achieved minimum completeness criteria is increased from the basic score with percentage 47,22% (17 students) to cycle I with percentage 80,55% (29 students) and 88,89% (32 students) in cycle II. This research concludes that the implementation of PBL model improved the learning process and the student’s mathematics learning outcomes at class XI MIA 1 SMAN 5 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the academic year 2018/2019Key Words: The outcomes of mathematics learning, Problem Based Learning,class action research

Abstract

The subject of this research is student of class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 36 students, consist of 17 boys and 19 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to quiz-I and quiz-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (16,7%) to the first quiz (44,4%) to the second quiz (55,6%). For the skills of basic score the first quiz (30,6%) to the second quiz (50%), thus it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018 for the subject rational and irrational inequalities and linear equations of three variables.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop mathematics learning device for junior high school that are Syllabus, Lesson Plan (LP) and Students Worksheet (SW) curriculum 2013 on subject statistics and probability by used problem based learning model. This research use development model by Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono (2008). Development is done through the following steps: (1) potentials and problems; (2) data collection; (3) design products: (4) validation; (5) revision of design; (6) small group trial; (7) revision of product; (8) large group trial; and (9) revision. At the stage of potentials and problems, the researchers conducted potentials and problems analysis. Then, researcher collect the necessary materials to design learning device. Learning device that had been developed then validated by three validators and revised based on the input from validators. The valid learning device then tested in the small group trial with subjects are eight students of class VII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru and revised based on input from the students. Then, tested in the large group trial with subjects are 39 students of class VII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru and revised based on input from the students. Based on the data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the mathematics learning device for junior high school curriculum 2013 on subject statistics and probability by using problem based learning model are valid with value for the Syllabus is 3.39, value for the LP-1 is 3.42, value for the LP-2 is 3.41, value for the LP-3 is 3.41, value for the LP-4 is 3.40, value for the LP-5 is 3.40, value for the SW-1 is 3.38, value for the SW-2 is 3.32, value for the SW-3 is 3.32, value for the SW-4 is 3.32, value for SW-5 is 3.32, and is practical to use by students of junior high school.Key Words:Mathematics Learning Device for Junior High School, Curriculum 2013, Research and Development, Problem Based Learning, Statistics and Probability

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematics learning instruments as supporting learning referring to 2013 Curriculum. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning instruments with problem based learning’s model on cubes and cuboids for 8th grade SMP/MTs. Learning instruments in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet. This study method used is 4D model by Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel that consist of define, design, development, and disseminate, but the study was limited only to development step. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of syllabus is 4,53, mean score of lesson plans is 4,26, and mean score of student worksheet is 4,21. This student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student responses is 97,33 on a small test group.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Problem Based Learning, Research and Development.

Abstract

The subject of this research was student of class X Akuntansi SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru in second academic years 2018/2019, which are 30 students, consist of nine boys and 21 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets was analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis technique, and the students mathematic tests was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to UH-I and UH-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (26,67%) to the first UH-I (56,67%) to the UH-II (93,33%) thus it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class X Akuntansi SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru in second academic years 2018/2019 for the linear program.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is student of class VIIE SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 39 students, consist of 22 boys and 17 girls Aritmetika Sosial form material. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instrument of data collection in this research consist of observation sheet and assessment sheet. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation techniques and test results of mathematics learning techniques. Data obtained from the observation sheet is qualitative data and analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis technique. Data obtained from the learning result test were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The result of data analysis show teacher’s and student’s activity have been done very well in cycle II and weakness/deficiency that happened less from cycle I to cycle II. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) for knowledge increase from the basic score (28,21%) to (35,89%) at the first test and to (74,36%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (28,21%) at the first test, to (69,23%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that application of Problem Based Learning can improve the learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students VIIE SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 academic year at Aritmetika Sosial form material.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian percobaan ini menggunakan Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif. Object dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi efektifitas dari Pembelajaran Kooperatif dalam belajar Matamatika. Samle yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran kooperatif dengan tipe Team Assisted Individualization lebih efektif dalam belajar matematika daripada metode lama. Pembelajaran kooperatif dengan tipe Team Assisted Individualization mengindikasikan bahwa siswa lebih aktif dalam belajar untuk menyelesaikan masalah akan meningkatkan kemampuan matematika mereka secara efektif. Kata Kunci : kooperatif, TAI   Abstract This trial recearch using the Application of Cooperative Learning. Object of this study is to identify the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning in learning math. Samle used in this study was a class X student of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The results showed that cooperative learning with Team Assisted Individualization type of learning mathematics more effectively than the old method. Cooperative learning with Team Assisted Individualization type indicates that students are more active in learning to solve problems will improve their math skills effectively. Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan karakter melalui sekolah, tidak semata-mata pemberian pengetahuan, tetapi  penanaman moral, nilai-nilai etika, estetika, budi pekerti yang luhur. Salah satu budaya yang berkembang di masyarakat dan sangat dekat dengan peserta didik adalah permainan (rakyat).  Biasanya permainan rakyat menggunakan alat-alat yang masih sederhana yang mudah diperoleh dan ada di sekitar masyarakat setempat. Hal ini sangat sesuai dengan pendidikan matematika realistik Indonesia yang menggagaskan bahwa pembelajaran matematika harus merupakan ‘realitas’ yang dekat dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis pemikiran matematika dan kandungan nilai karakter pada permainan congkak yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian inidimulai dengan mengamati permainan congkak secara teliti yang dimainkan oleh peserta didik sekolah SD 018 Teluk Kenidai Kabupaten Kampar. Hasil pengamatan dijadikan dasar untuk melakukan analisis pemikiran matematika dan kandungan nilai karakter dalam permainan congkak. Hasil analisis menunjukan permainan congkak dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika realistik untuk topik aritmatika di kelas 2,3 dan 4 sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: permainan congkak, pendidikan karakter bangsa, pembelajaran matematika realistic Abstract Character education through school, not merely the provision of knowledge, but the cultivation of moral, ethical values​​, aesthetic, noble manners. One culture that developed in the community and very close to the students is the game (the people). Usually folk games using the tools that are simple, easy to obtain and there around the local community. This is in accordance with Indonesia realistic mathematics education which put forward the learning of mathematics that should be a 'reality' which is close to the learner. This study aims to analyze the mathematical thinking and gynecology conceited character values ​​in a game that can be used in teaching mathematics. Research inidimulai by observing carefully cavalier game played by 018 elementary school students Kenidai Bay Kampar regency. Observations used as the basis for mathematical thinking, and content analysis of the value of the character in the game cocky. The results of the analysis showed cavalier game can be used for the development of realistic characters in learning mathematics to arithmetic topics in class 2,3 and 4 elementary schools. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan hasil matematika siswa melalui penerapan metode belajar aktif tipe Group to Group Exchange (GGE) untuk siswa kelas X IPS 1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru, pada semester genap tahun pembelajaran 2008 / 2009 tentang subyek utama "Barisan dan deret Bilangan". Subjek penelitian ini adalah untuk siswa kelas X IPS 1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru dengan jumlah 33 siswa terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-laki dan 22 siswa perempuan. Siswa di kelas yang dikelompokkan secara heterogen berdasarkan tingkat akademik dan gender. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah satu set alat pembelajaran seperti silabus, rencana pelajaran, buku kerja, dan handout. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan teknik uji melalui hasil uji matematika dan teknik observasi digunakan lembar observasi guru dan kegiatan siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, itu menggambarkan kegiatan guru dan siswa, hasil belajar analisis dan keberhasilan tindakan. Dari analisa data diketahui bahwa penerapan metode belajar aktif tipe Group Group Exchange (GGE) dapat meningkatkan hasil matematika siswa dan bertemu Minimum Prestasi Kriteria (KKM) pada review pertama 60,6% dan pada kedua review ditingkatkan menjadi 75,8%. Kata kunci : Kegiatan guru dan siswa, hasil matematika, metode pembelajaran aktif tipe Group to Group Exchange (GGE)   Abstract The research was intended to increase the result of student’s mathematics through the application of active learning method type Group to Group Exchange (GGE) for the students in class X IPS 1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru, on even semester in the learning year of 2008/2009 on the main subject “Barisan dan Deret Bilangan”. The research subject is for the students in class X IPS1 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru with the number of 33 student’s consisting of 11 boy-student’s and 22 girl-student’s. From the data analysis it was found that the application of active learning method type Group to Group Exchange (GGE) can increase the result of student’s mathematics and met Minimum Achievement Criteria (KKM) on the first review was 60,6% and on the second review improved to be 75,8%.
