Abstract

Educational data mining (EDM) adalah suatu bidang aplikasi antara pendidikan dan komputer. Salah satu yang dapat dilakukan pada EDM adalah memprediksi tingkat prestasi mahasiswa. Tingkat indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) akademik mahasiswa sangat penting karena menentukan tingkat kelulusan dan kualiatas institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa atribut-atribut yang mempengaruhi tingkat indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa yang berasal dari faktor eksternal pada mahasiswa. Adapun atribut yang digunakan adalah 10 variabel atribut yaitu nilai TOEFL, pendidikan ayah, pendidikan ibu, pekerjaan ayah, pekerjaan ibu, asal daerah, tempat tinggal selama kuliah dan tingkat prestasi akademik yang dicapai. Hasil akurasi pengolahan dengan menggunakan Algoritma C4.5 adalah 75,18% dan Naive Bayes 74,47% menunjukkan bahwa model dan atribut yang digunakan baik untuk memprediksi tingkat IPK  mahasiswa. Algoritma C4.5 mampu menunjukkan atribut apa yang berpengaruh langsung pada tingkat IPK  mahasiswa yaitu Nilai TOEFL, jam belajar, pendidikan ayah, pekerjaan ayah, dan tempat tinggal mahasiswa.  Algoritma C4.5 tidak mampu  memperhitungkan peluang suatu klasifikasi jika jumlah  instan pada klasifikasi tersebut sangat sedikit pada kejadian data. Sebaliknya Naive Bayes tetap mampu memperhitungkan peluang kemunculan dan ketepatannya informasi yang dihasilkan  meski jumlah instan yang sedikit. Dalam penelitian ini data mahasiswa yang memiliki tingkat IPK cumlaude sangat sedikit, namun Naive Bayes tetap mampu mengukur Recall pada kelas ini sebesar 28,6% dan Precision sebesar 40%.

Abstract

Penentuan metode ekstraksi ciri yang akurat dapat diukur berdasarkan nilai mean absolute error (MAE). Semakin kecil nilai MAE yang diperoleh dari suatu metode ekstraksi ciri berarti menunjukan metode ekstraksi ciri tersebut semakin akurat (optimal). Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode ekstraksi ciri, yaitu: geometrical moment invariants (GMI), united moment invariants (UMI) dan Zernike moment invariants (ZMI) untuk mengekstraksi ciri dari citra kata tulisan tangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode GMI memberikan nilai galat terendah atau menghasilkan ciri citra tulisan tangan terbaik.

Abstract

Kopi Pagar Alam merupakan salah satu kopi Besemah dari Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan penelitian pada paper ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil dan karakter usaha tani kopi di Kota Pagar Alam berdasarkan descriptive statistics, nilai korelasi, dan representasi grafik berupa histogram dan matrix plot. Faktor-faktor yang mencerminkan profil dan karakter usaha tani kopi yang diteliti meliputi profil, karakter, dan kinerja petani, keadaan lahan, penggunaan tenaga kerja, produksi, dan faktor eksternal.  Pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan purposive sampling pada 214 petani kopi yang memiliki lahan dan terlibat langsung dalam pengolahan lahan. Secara umum, mayoritas responden berusia produktif, belajar bertani dan kepemilikan lahan dari keluarga secara turun temurun, pola bertani tunggal, motivasi usaha dan motivasi kerja yang cukup tinggi, dan budaya kerjanya termasuk sedang atau mendekati rendah. Jumlah tenaga kerja dalam keluarga lebih banyak terlibat daripada tenaga kerja di luar keluarga. Pengetahuan petani terhadap penting atau kurang pentingnya faktor-faktor lingkungan pada tanaman kopi lebih beragam. Pada matrix plot, mayoritas responden mempunyai nilai variabel horizontal pada suatu interval tertentu dan mempunyai nilai variabel vertikal yang bervariasi, sehingga korelasi antara kedua variabel rendah. Korelasi yang tinggi terjadi pada hubungan antara umur dengan lama bertani kopi, dan juga antara produksi rata-rata 1 pohon dengan produktivitas lahan. Hasil descriptive statistics berupa histogram dari variabel-variabel tersebut dapat digunakan untuk analisis lebih lanjut, terutama untuk analisis korespondensi.

Abstract

Bangsal Village is in the South Sumatra region within the district of Ogan Komering Ilir, Pampangan District. Bangsal Village ha potential including buffalo milk, sugar puan, sagon, penjem (a kind of yogurt), curd (a kind of butter for cooking oil), smoked-fish, fish-crackers and swamp-rice with high iron mineral (Fe). Almost the majority of Bangsal villagers are buffalo breeders. The potential possessed by Bangsal Village, if developed, is expected to make the villages has food sovereignty, economic independence and local wisdom as personality in culture. One of the media that can help develop it is Computer and Information Technology (ICT). The ICT can be used as the development of village websites. Bangsal village website can be a media for promotion of potentials and products owned by Bangsal Village. With the website everyone can easily search for information and get to know the Bangsal village without having to go directly to the village. The development of the Bangsal village website requires an active role from the Bangsal village community and community itself. Website management training that has given to several village community participants showed good results. These can be seen from the ability of participants to complete more than 70% of the tasks given by the trainer.

Abstract

Face detection is one of earlier phase in face recognition process. This research aims to get the faces area on digital image without being affected by face orientation, lights condition, background and the expression. The detected face area is usually shaped by a rectangle. Many pixels on the rectangle are not part of face, especially at the four of the image corners. This research use an ellipse as replacement a rectangle. The detected face is shaped by ellipses with various sizes and orientations. The digital image segmentations is used to detect face candidates area. The ellipse is formed by using Randomized Hough Transform (RHT) method, which is influenced by the center point of ellipse candidates. RHT found three random pixels on segmented image. The rate of success of RHT is determined by segmentation results. The research result is tested by using various thresholds, and get the best accuracy at 74.4%. The rate of accuracy is measured by comparing between RHT ellipses shape and circle shape on OpenCV library as ground truth.

Abstract

PT. XYZ has a Laboratory section in each of its factories that performs its duties manually to determine the quality of the fertilizers to be produced. This manual method is most likely at risk of human error and causes errors in the results of determining the quality of urea fertilizer. An expert system was built using the Chi-Squared Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID) algorithm which can test the quality of urea fertilizer. The CHAID algorithm applies the decision tree technique where the technique will always branch off two or more as a basis in establishing rules. The system takes the values of the urea fertilizer test parameters as attributes. These attributes are processed to produce the most significant values that will be branches in the decision tree. The parameters used include Nitrogen, Biuret, Moisture, Free Ammonia, Iron, Oil Content, Crushing Strength, and Size Distribution. CHAID algorithm is suitable to be used to test the quality of urea fertilizer because in this study produced 4 different decision trees with an accuracy value of 99% using as much as 100 test data. This number influenced by the amount of training data used to build the rules.

Abstract

Writing is an embodiment of the author's ideas that are to be conveyed to others. A writer often experiences typos in typing the script, so that it can influence the meaning of the text. Therefore, a system is needed to detect word errors. In this study, checking is done by using the Dictionary Lookup method and giving the candidate words using the Damerau Levenshtein Distance algorithm. Candidates will then determine the ranking by breaking the word into Bigram form and calculating the similarity value using the Cosine Similarity algorithm. The test results based on the data used yield different Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR) values for each type of error. The type of error deletion produces an MRR value of 88.89%, the type of insertion error produces an MRR value of 97.78%, the type of substitution error produces an MRR value of 88.89%, the type of transposition error produces an MRR value of 89%

Abstract

Vegetables are one of the most important needs in Indonesia. This is due to the increasing need for healthy food to meet daily needs. With the need for vegetables, the quality and production process are still hampered because it is done manually. Therefore created a system that can help someone determine the quality and production of the right vegetables. This system uses the SMART method and fuzzy Tsukamoto with the criteria and variables of vegetables used to get good quality and production. The SMART and fuzzy Tsukamoto method used a dataset of 20 vegetable commodities. In this study, 4 criteria and 3 variables were used, namely height, soil pH, temperature and age of harvest for quality determination. The production uses the variables of demand, supply and production.

Abstract

News has become a major need for everyone, with news we can get the information needed. News can be distributed in the form of print mass media, electronic mass media and online media. The means of spreading the news now have grown very rapidly, making the amount of information being managed are bigger and word management classified also not small.  herefore, we need a system for classifying documents that are not structured. In this study, word processing in a document is done by N-Gram as a feature generation. The document classification process is carried out using the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm. This study examines the effect of N-Gram on document classification on the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm. The results of the classification accuracy of documents by applying N-Gram is 32.68% and without applying N-Gram is 84.97%. A decrease in the classification results occurs the number of features that result from solving N-Gram that is unique or dominant to another category. The accuracy of the results obtained shows that the application of N-Gram in the classification of documents using the Naïve Bayes Classifier algorithm gives a decreased effect on the performance of the classification

Abstract

Car rental is a business engaged in services that provide car rental services. Car rental owners must be selective in choosing a car to be used as a fleet, because if the car chosen is not right, the rental owner will experience a loss. To solve this kind of problem, a system to support a decision is a solution that can help rental owners according to their wants or needs. One approach that can be used in this case is the Decision Making System using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used as weighting and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) as a ranking. Testing to get a fairly good accuracy using the AHP and TOPSIS methods.
