Abstract

Abstract : The learning of biology practical works is the process of effective learning to achieve the three objectives simultaneously, those are; improving cognitive skills, affective skills, and psycomotoric skills. This research aims to analyze the relationship between teachers strategies in the development of design learning biology practical activity and achivement of student learning outcomes. The research method is research method survey. Classically, the results of syllabus quality is 84% and lesson plan was 79.1%, and the strategy used is the experience learning and interactive. The results of students’ activity in the scale of score 1 up to score 4, the highest score that is score 3 was 47.69% and the highest score of the result of practical works activities and test that is “C” score (enough) was 65% and 59.3%. The relationship between teachers’ strategy and students’ achievement of practical works analyzed by using correlation shows that the result was not significant because (P) > 0.05. Abstract

Abstract.Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning method is used as an alternative to conventional teaching methods. TAPPS is a learning method that can improve the learning achievement of cognitive domain, affective domain and student activities. The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of cooperative learning model with Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) on learning achievement of Biology and students activities. This research uses two classes for the sample, the control class and the experimental class. The learning process in the classroom of control use the conventional method and the experimental class use TAPPS. For the cognitive, the data has been analyzed use ANACOVA. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the TAPPS method significant effect on students cognitive learning achievement (p = 0.000). For the affective domain, the data were analyzed use Independent sample T-test. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences in affective learning achievement using TAPPS (p = 0.000). Analysis of student activity use Independent sample T-test obtained p = 0.000. In other words, there are significantly differences in the results of the student activity using TAPPS method. To measure effectiveness, use the Gain formula with results 0,529 for the experimental class and 0,158 for the control class. It can be concluded that the TAPPS method is more effective improve cognitive learning achievement than conventional methods. Keywords: Learning Achievement, Students Activities, TAPPS

Abstract

Abstract. One of teaching models that focus on student is Learning Cycle 5E. The Learning Cycle 5E teaching Model has five stages that consist of Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation. Besides the teaching Model, teaching Material is also required. Teaching Material is a material of learning that is constructed systematically and used by teacher in learning process. The teaching Material could be combined with Technology Information and Communication in order to be a digital teaching Material. The aim of the research is to understand the digital teaching material development and also to check the improvement of student’s study result and the result of study after using digital teaching material and its application in Learning Cycle 5E. The Result of the research shows that the validation test result which uses three validators, shows that 51.6% is in Very Good Category. The student’s result study activity average is 71% in the first meeting and 79,5% in the second meeting. While the average score of the study result of student is 78.13in the first meeting and 82,00 in the second meeting. Abstract

Abstract.The development and change of live must be supported by high grade education. In order to achievement that, a government was prepared three agendas for 2013 curriculum implementation, that is manual book,students book, teacher training and management system. Manual book andstudents bookhave been used as learning material for help learning process in the school. But the fact, students are not understanding yet about contents and concept in learning material especially if that science or natural lesson. In order that student comprehension to learning material be success, going to do the experiment of influence of short tentacle cutting to eat pattern disorientation of golden snail (Pomacea Canaliculata L.) as alternative practical learning material of olfactory organ function with four treatments are short tentacle cutting of right side, left side, both of sides and without short tentacle cutting with use golden snail as samples experiment. A golden snail is a Invertebrate species of gastropod, have yellowness shell, have pink eggs, have two pieces of tentacle, and have wide distribution. A short tentacle of golden snail was used as smell sense, feel sense, detectioner of food and the environment. The result of this experiment is influence  of  short tentacle cutting to distance of golden snail to rice plants indicateboth of sidesfarthest than the other (82,9167 cm) and rice plants was eatedatboth of sidesshort tentacle cutting is most least than the other (0 gram). Product of this experiment made on student worksheet with assessment of substance worksheet is 2,9375 (fairly well means), so this experiment can use to alternative practical learning material of olfactory organfunction.   Key Words:Disorientation, Eat Pattern,Golden Snail, Learning Material, Olfactory, Practical, Short Tentacle.

Abstract

Abstract.Guided inquiry is a learning strategy that can improve the intellectual skill, critical thinking, and solve the problem by using scientific method. The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of guided inquiry on learning achievement ofcritical thinking and process skills. This research is quasi experiment and uses two classes for the sample, the control class and the experimental class. The learning process in the experimental class usesguided inquiry and the control class uses the conventional method (expository and discussion). Based on the analysis, it can be inferred that the guided inquiry gives significant effect on critical thinking, process skills, psychomotor, and affectiveachievement(p=0.000). Based on effectivenessmeasure by using Gain formula inferred that the experimental class dominant in balance Gain with mean 0,4420% and the control class dominant in low Gain with mean 0,1291%. It concludes the guided inquiry strategy is more effectivethan conventional strategy to improve critical thinking and process skills achievement. Abstract

Abstract.Role Playing is a kind of gestural games which contains of purposes, rules, and involves the happiness. Role Playing teaching model invites students learning while playing so that students can be motivated in teaching learning process.  The objectives of this research are to improve the result of students’ learning and activities in the classroom. This research is classroom action research that was conducted in two cycles, first cycle and second cycle. This research are expected to give the improvement to the result of students’ learning and activities in the classroom. According to the result of this research, Role Playing teaching model revealed the result of students’ learning and activities. The average of students’ cognitive mark in the class improved from 73,16 to 82,89 while the average of students’ psychomotor mark in the class improved from 74,99 to 82,45. In same line, the average of students’ affective mark from cycle I to cycle II improved from 73,68 to 80,26 while the average of students’ activities mark improved from 69,29 to 74,41.  Therefore, it can be concluded that  Role Playing teaching model can be used as an appropriate model in teaching learning process. Abstract

Abstract Biology learning is a learning that not only focused on knowledge aspecs, but also focused on how to discover process that happened in biology. One effort to discover biology process is by using environment as learning source. This research aims is to analyze diversity and density of Homoptera in Kebun Blawan Bondowoso and use it to develop Homopteran field guide book as learning source alternative. Research method is by collecting data about Homopteran insect in Kebun Blawan Bondowoso, then used as material to develop field guide book. The book then evaluated to know how proper the book to used as learning source by school students. Based on analysis, diversity of Homoptera in Kebun Blawan are 2,20 and the density are 13,00 individu per plot. Based on evaluation, score of Homopteran field guide book are 83, which mean the book is recommended as a learning source alternative for students. Abstract

Abstract: Learning science, especially biology, is closely related to the concept of contextual learning. It required a real media, so students have a clear concept to an example directly. So, teachers can bring the object of observation which taken from the environment. Insects are the Arthropoda that have three pairs of legs, a segmented body divided into three regions (head, thorax, and abdomen), and found everywhere. Diversity and density of insect of tomato (Lycopersicon Esculentum Mill.) at Desa Sapikerep Kecamaran Sukapura Kabupaten Probolinggo can used as alternatif of learning source. The purpose of this study is to know diversity and density of insect of tomato at agriculture area Desa Sapikerep Kecamatan Sukapura Kabupaten Probolinggo, and Probolinggo and the usage as insect field guide book. Diversity of insects were observed by observational method, an 8 m2 area  of  tomato  plants  in  the  morning.  Diversity of insects were analyzed by Shannon-Wiener diversity. Insect of tomato plants consist of 8 orders belonging to 35 species. The result of this study usage as insect field guide book. To facilitate the learning process, teacher can use a supporting reference book, that is a field guide book. Field guide book contains pictures of species, descriptions, and glosary that can help readers to understand latin terms. From the result of validation test of products, the field guide book can be recommended as one alternative learing resources in form of reference books in school, especially in the learning material biodiversity.   Key Words: insects, diversity, density, field guide book

Abstract

Abstract : Education is one of human cultural form which dynamic and full of development. Teacher is the most important part of the whole education sectors. Teacher is hoped to create an exciting learning proces. The success of a learning process cant be divided from learning models. The aims of this research are to know implementation precise degree and the relation with biology learning result. Method in this research is collecting data in form question form, documentation, and observation about implementation precise degree of learning model. Implementation precise degree of learning model from biology student is analyzed by using rate formula Fc(%). The relation between emplementation precise degree and biology learning result analyzed by using Pearson correlation and show that the result is not significant because (P) > 0,05 and has r=0,09, thats mean implementation precise degree of learning model hat low correlation with biology learning outcome. Abstract

Abstrak FKIP sebagai pencetak tenaga kependidikan harus mampu membekali dan melatih calon tenaga pendidik menjadi seorang pendidik professional baik dari segi teori maupun praktek. Salah satu pelatihan itu melalui Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar konsistensi implementasi syntax pembelajaran kooperatif mahasiswa PPL biologi dan adakah hubungannya dengan hasil belajar siswa SMPN Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei dan untuk penggalian data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwasanya tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang digunakan responden adalah STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) sebanyak 35,7%, TGT (Teams Games Tournament) 28,6% dan NHT (Number Head Together) 35,7%. Untuk memaksimalkan hasil belajar, dilakukan beberapa penggabungan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif tersebut dengan teknik pembelajaran lain, diantaranya NHT dengan picture and picture, NHT dengan role playing, TGT dengan role playing dan STAD dengan example non example. Mahasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan TGT 100% memiliki tingkat konsistensi implementasi syntax tinggi. Tetapi, mahasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT, 80% tingkat konsistensi implementasi syntax tinggi dan 20% sisanya memiliki tingkat konsistensi implementasi syntax sedang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat korelasi yang tidak signifikan (r =0,058; p=0,844) antara konsistensi implementasi syntax pembelajaran kooperatif pada mahasiswa PPL biologi terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : syntax, pembelajaran kooperatif, mahasiswa PPL, hasil belajar.
