Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku penggunaan media digital dan pembelajaran berbasis penelitian pada mahasiswa baru di Program Studi Pendidikan Sains Unesa yang mencetak calon guru IPA. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa baru angkatan 2015 yang terbagi pada kelas A, B, dan C. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan survei dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara umum mahasiswa cenderung berperilaku menggunakan media untuk menunjang pembelajaran (95,3%). Pengaksesan terhadap penelitian dosen sebagai bahan pembelajaran berbasis riset juga ditunjukkan dengan persentase sebanyak 82%. Hasil ini merupakan rerata pada masing-masing kelas. Simpulannya, bentuk representasi penggunaan media digital bagi mahasiswa adalah untuk menunjang pembelajaran dan pembelajaran berbasis riset dilakukan dengan cara menelaah hasil penelitian dosen dengan bidang-bidang yang relevan. Untuk itu, rekomendasi yang dibuat ialah penggunaan media digital dalam proses pembelajaran dan pembelajaran berbasis riset dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengasah kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru sains guna menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran abad 21.Kata Kunci: perilaku, media digital, PBR, calon guru sains

Abstract

Sains adalah studi sistematik tentang alam dan bagaimana alam itu mempengaruhi kehidupan dan lingkungan kita. Mengacu Permendiknas, Nomor 23 Tahun 2006 tentang Standar Kompetensi Lulusan (SKL) untuk satuan pendidikan dasar dan menengah digunakan sebagai pedoman penilaian dalam menentukan kelulusan peserta didik. Sebagian SKL yang secara eksplisit berkait dengan kemampuan berfikir peserta didik untuk seluruh jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah adalah menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir logis, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif dan menunjukkan kemampuan menganalisis dan memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk itu perlunya siswa dibiasakan dengan tes berfikir tingkat tinggi dalam Pembelajaran Sains yang untuk mengasah kemampuan siswa pada jenjang SMP. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B  SMPN 3 Nglegok Blitar sebanyak 15 orang. Instumen penelitian ini berupa tes terkait solving problems and investigating the natural world dikembangkan oleh Tim USAID pada Tahun 2012. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu: Kompetensi Siswa Menyelesaikan Tes Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi dalam Pembelajaran Sains di SMPN 3 Nglegok Blitar berkategori kurang (retata skor klasikal 55,3). Hal ini berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan 1 siswa (6.7%) berkategori sangat baik; 0 siswa (0.0%) berkategori baik (b); 3 siswa  (26.7 %) berkategori cukup; 4 siswa (26.7 %) berkategori kurang; dan 6 (40.0 %) berkategori sangat kurang (e). Namun demikian, keterampilan siswa untuk menyelesaikan Tes Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi berpotensi besar dapat dicapai siswa. Hal ini terbukti ada siswa yang mampu mencapai skor 93 (sangat baik). Reference number 23 Permendiknas 2006 standard of Competency graduates (SKL) to units of primary and secondary education is used as a guide in determining graduation assessment of learners. Some SKL explicitly relates to the ability of learners to think the whole level of primary and secondary education is showing the ability of logical thinking, critical, creative, and innovative and demonstrates the ability to analyze and solve problems in daily life. To that end the need for students familiarized with test higher-order thinking in the Learning of science to hone students ability in the secondary. The subject of this research is grade VII-B  Junior High School 3 Nglegok Blitar as much as 15 people. This research instrument in the form of tests related to solving problems and investigating the natural world developed by the USAID Team in 2012. Summary of the research Competences, namely: Students complete the test high level Thinking in Science Learning at the Junior High School 3 Nglegok Blitar categories less (rate score of classical 55,3). It is based on an analysis of data showed 1 student (6.7%) categories are very good; 0 (0.0%) students are categorized well (b); 3 students (26.7%) categories enough; 4 students (26.7%) categories were less; and 6 (40.0%) categories are less (e). However, the skills of the students to complete the test potentially high levels of Thinking big is a student. It is evident there are students who are able to achieve a score of 93 (very good).  Key words: test, solving problems, thinking high level science

Abstract

The ability to cope with environmental stresses and to survive is adaptive. This is due to the changes that occur very rapidly due to the need to adapt according to the demands at the time. Improving the quality of learning is dynamic so that the quality of learning today is not the same as the quality of learning and even become expired on tomorrow. Several studies have shown that teacher quality is a prerequisite in achieving quality education. This can be done as early as possible to improve teacher candidates. Law No. 14 of 2005 states, the position of teachers as professionals, serves to enhance the dignity of the teacher as well as his role as a learning agent to improve the quality of national education. Being a professional science teacher candidates there are a number of basic competencies related to professional quality needs to be improved. One of them contained in the framework for 21st century learning, one is supporting innovation and creativity skills. The main issue in this article is: How to prepare prospective science teachers (IPA) to be able to respond to any changes in present and future as well as to effectively take advantage for the betterment of self, community, and nation. The main issue, the focus of this article is to prepare graduates perspective, especially in science education courses Faculty of Surabaya in adaptive skills to support 21st century skills terkaid innovation and creativity in the lecture biotechnology. Abstract

Familiarize learners to communicate, think critically and creatively and to consider moral values of Pancasila is one Permendikbud 81 A mandate in 2013. The need for students to be exposed to high level thinking tests in Learning Science is to hone the skills of students at the high school level. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of student mastery and achievement test indicator junior high school students in East Java in resolving high level thinking tests of learning science. This study was conducted at 20, 23, and 28 November 2012 in three districts, there are: Blitar, Mojokerto, and Pamekasan. The population of this study were junior high school students in East Java with a sample of students SMP 3 Nglegok Blitar (15 peoples), SMP 2 Dlanggu Mojokerto (15 peoples) and SMP 7 Pamekasan (15 peoples) by using purposive sampling technique. Data sources such as student scores on the analysis of high-level thinking skills test developed by USAID Priority Team. Techniques of datacollection conducted by researchers through the provision of test instruments to students, then corrected degree of truth answers based on predefined criteria. Analysis of data in quantitative descriptive data then qualitatived. The conclusions of this study are: competence Junior high school students in East Java in resolving high level thinking tests category learning science enough (enough with a mean value of C- with a score of 43.8) and achievement test results categorized good indicators, namely: (a) observation of characteristic Distinctive animals (75.6), and analyze the properties of liquid water (75.6).Keywords: test, solving problems, high level thingking, science.

Abstract

Penerapan IPA perlu dilakukan secara bijaksana untuk menjaga dan memelihara kelestarian lingkungan.  Pembelajaran IPA sebaiknya dilaksanakan secara inkuiri (scientific inquiry) untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir, bekerja, dan bersikap ilmiah serta mengomunikasikannya sebagai aspek penting kecakapan hidup. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran IPA menekankan pada pemberian pengalaman belajar secara langsung melalui penggunaan dan pengembangan keterampilan proses dan sikap ilmiah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program pendidikan profesi guru terintegrasi berjumlah 32 orang. Sumber data berupa skor siswa hasil analisis tes keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi yang dimodifikasi dari Tim USAID Prioritas. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan oleh peneliti melalui pemberian instrument tes tulis dalam bentuk isian kepada mahasiswa,  kemudian dikoreksi tingkat kebenaran jawaban berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah:  kompetensi mahasiswa PPGT dalam menyelesaikan tes berfikir tingkat tinggi pembelajaran sains berkategori baik (dengan rerata skor 76,6). Namun demikian, terdapat pula ketercapaian indicator membuat kesimpulan data pengamatan denyut nadi per menit yang menunjukkan skor 56.3 dengan kategori cukup. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berfikir tinggkat tingkat mahasiswa PPGT Unesa secara mayoritas sudah baik, tetapi masih diperlukan penguatan pada materi-materi tertentu.Kata kunci : tes, PPGT, keterampilan berfikir, sains

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian adalah melihat validitas penilaian otentik yang telah dikembangkan baik teoritis maupun empiris. Subyek penelitian ini adalah penilaian otentik yang telah dikembangkan. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan menggunakan desain penelitian R & D (Research and Development). Instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan adalah rubrik penilaian project report dan presentasi. Penilaian yang telah dikambangkan diuji kelayakannya berdasarkan validitas teoritis dan empirisnya. Validitas teoritis diukur berdasarkan perspektif dari pakar, sedangkan kepraktisan dievaluasi berdasarkan pendapat mahasiswa terhadap penerapan penilaian tersebut. Hasil yang ditunjukkan penelitian ini adalah instrumen yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk diterapkan berdasarkan hasil validasi kepada pakar dan respon mahasiswa. Penilaian yang telah dikembangkan berada pada kategori ?sangat baik? dan ?baik?. Setiap item penilaian memperoleh skor 3 dan 4. Analisis kepraktisan yang digambarkan melalui hasil uji coba terbatas dan respon mahasiswa, menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan respon positif terhadap penerapan penilaian tersebut, meskipun ada beberapa bagian dari rubrik penilaian perlu untuk direvisi lebih lanjut.Kata Kunci: penilaian otentik, validitas teoritis, validitas empiris

Abstract

Capabilities include competence, self-efficacy; self-confidence; self-discipline; to be responsible; self-initiative; and metacognition and what someone will bring to the workforce. This research strives to analyze the capability preferences of the prospective teacher in terms of learning independence. This descriptive study uses learning methods. Participants in this research were 21 students from the State University in East Java using purposive sampling techniques. The probing question is used as a research instrument. Descriptive data analysis. The consequences of data analysis explained that the ability in the aspect of high score learning skills was 85.4% responsible, 84.1% confidence, and 82.5% self-discipline. The conclusion of this study is the efficacy of the prospective student teacher from the perspective of independence learning shows the quality in the aspects of responsibility, self-confidence, and self-discipline. Nevertheless, the representative of self-establishment shows a lower trend correlated to other guidelines as much as 79.5%, or in other words, the meaning of participants is not optimum concerning their own desire for independence. This study reserves the need for further investigation into efforts to enhance the ability of prospective student teachers in higher education in theoretical and practical examinations.Keywords: Capabilities, Exploration, Learning independence, Promised teachers
