A total of 33 dairy lactating cows suffering from subclinical mastitis were classified into group A (10 cows), group B (12 cows) and group C (11 cows). They were treated with the combination of homeopathic drugs and placebo, applied at the 4th and 3rd week antepartum (a.p), and continuing every week postpartum (p.p), for four times. Group A received Coenzyme comp® (in the 4th and 3rd week a.p), Lachesis comp® combined with Traumeel®(1st and 2nd week p.p) and Coenzyme comp® combined with Carduus comp® (3rd and 4th week p.p). Group B received Traumeel®+ Mucosa comp® (4th and 3rd week a.p), Lachesis comp®+ Traumeel® (1st and 2nd week p.p) and Coenzyme comp®+ Carduus comp® (3rd and 4th week p.p) and group C as a placebo. The incidence of subclinical mastitis in group A and C appeared irregular. In contrast, group B showed a constant percentage (33.3%). Group A and B showed significant response to the homeopathic drugs, expressed as an increasing of the somatic cell count value. At peripartal phase, haptoglobin increased in group B 0.80 mg/ml and group A as well as placebo 1.40 mg/ml. After calving, group B expressed a constant value (0.05 mg/ml), while group A and placebo rose significantly. The milk yield in normal lactation period (the 3rd - 7th month) increased significantly, with an increasing 14.1% for group B and 4.9% A respectively. Crohn’s disease (CD) that becomes a public health concern in developed countries shows similarities in clinical signs and pathological features with Johne’s disease (JD) in ruminants infected by Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP). Few researches conducted in Europe, the USA, and Australia showed relationships between MAP, CD, JD and dairy products. Indonesians consume milk and diary products from domestic and imported source. Adji in 2004 found some domestic dairy cows that were seropositive for MAP, and this could be a serious problem in dairy farm animals and human health in the future. The aim of this study was to detect MAP in the growing up formula milk. Fifty samples from five established factories were taken from supermarkets in Bogor. Polymerase chain reaction method (PCR) with insertion sequence (IS) 900 as primer and culture in Herrold’s egg yolk media with mycobactin J (HEYM J) as a gold standard were used in this study. Neither MAP grew up in HEYM J medium after 20 weeks of culture period nor positive samples by PCR IS 900 were found. Although there were no positive samples found in this study, further extensive and comprehensive studies on MAP should be done with more and varied samples, as well as in human to provide data on MAP in Indonesia. Campylobacter spp. is a bacteria foodborne zoonotic agent that can infect humans and animals, especially birds. This bacteria can cause important problems in the public health since the beginning at the farm level, the level of retail and on the table. Poultry meat is the main source of contamination because the digestive tract of poultry is the predilection of Campylobacter jejuni. During this infection C. jejuni in poultry did not show typical clinical symptoms, making detection quite difficult to diagnose this disease at the farm level. Incidence infection of Campylobacter sp. in developed countries had 5-90%. Currently poultry production and consumption are predicted to still increase due to a high demand for low price protein. This research is conducted to determine the clinical and pathologic anatomy due to an infection of C. jejuni on chicken digestive tract. A total of 105-day-old chickens are divided into 3 groups, each consisting of 35 individuals. Group A was the control group (not infected) group B (infected with C. jejuni ATCC 33291), and group C (infected with field isolate of C. jejuni/C1). Infection of the chicken is done 0.5 ml peroral suspension concentration of104cfu/ml. Anova Duncan is used to analyze parameters of body weight, increase weight gain, feed consumption, FCR values. Kurskall Walis method used to analyze the parameters non-parametric form of the score changes in the macroscopic and microscopic intestinal and liver. Infection of C. jejuni changes the pathology anatomy of intestine i.e. hyperemia, enteritis and enteritis catharalis haemorrhagic. A microscopic change of intestinal is oedema, haemorrhage and infiltration of inflammatory cell. Changes of pathology anatomy liver are colour smeary, congesti, pale, fragile and necrotic. Microscopic changes of liver are degeneration and focal hepatic necrosis. Group observation infected by C. jejuni caused chicken cannot reach maximum body weight and can be detrimental to farmers because of increase of the value of the feed conversion ratio (FCR).

Trichinellosis is a parasitic disease of humans caused by eating raw from domestic or game animals infected by Trichinella spp. Human trichinellosis contracted from commercial supplies of meat have been most often linked to infected pigs, wild boar, or horses. Trichinella is a nematode which has an atypical direct life cycle that does not involve stages developing outside of the host. This study was conducted to see the profile of pig farms in the city of Kupang and the potential transmission of trichinellosis. The data was derived from interview 60 farmers in 6 sub districts in city of Kupang by using a structured questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that many race of pig from a mixed race, the seeds come from traditional breeding. Feed rest of the home or restaurant are usually directly given to the pigs. The presence of rat in around of the cage often. All respondents were interviewed did not know or hear about trichinellosis disease which can be one cause of the spread of trichinellosis in city of Kupang.
