Abstract

Daun aloe vera mempunyai aktifitas anti mikroba dan antifungal terhadap jamur Candida Albican s Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan adanya daya hambat minimal dari berbagai konsentrasi ekstrak Iidah buaya terhadap pertumbuhan Candida Albican s dan daya hambat masingmasing konsentrasi ekstrak Iidah buaya terhadap Candida Albican s. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan atau acuan teori bagi pemanfaatan Iidah buaya sebagai anti fungal terutama pada penderita oral candidiasis. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah experimental dengan rancangan penelitian Paralel Time Series Design. Sampel adalah isolat jamur Candida Albican s. diambil dengan menggunakan rumus rancangan acak lengkap i Gomez (untuk sampel homogen) dengan rumus: (r— 1 215 dimana r adalah perlakuan sebanyak 6 perlakuan, t adalah pengulangan sebanyak 4 kali, sehingga sampel digunakan sebanyak 24 pecandang. Ekstraksi Iidah buaya dilakukan dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol dan air. pengenceran ekstrak menjadi konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, dan 30 0/05 . Untuk melihat daya hambat ekstraks terhadap jamur dilakukan dengan metoda disk diffusion test Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstra daun Iidah buaya konsentrasi 5% memiliki daya hambat minimal terhadap Candida Albican s dengan rata rata diameter zona hambat sebesar 10,5 mm. Ekstrak dengan Konsentrasi 25% memiliki daya hambat tertinggi terhadap isolat Candida Albican dibanding konsentrasi lainnya (diameter rata rata zona hambat sebesar 27,5 mm). Rata-rata zona hambat untuk konsentrasi 5% = 10,5mm, 10%= 20,5 mm , 15%= 23,5 mm, 20% = 24 mm dan 30% =19,75mm. Hasil uji beda Kruskall wallis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna zona hambat ekstraks Iidah buaya pada konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% dan 30% terhadap isolat Candida Albican s dengan nilai p sebesar 0,001 lebih kecil dari a = 0,05.

Abstract

Smoking habits are one of the triggers for the emergence of disorders of the oral cavity and its effect on aesthetics, among others, can cause tooth discoloration, thickening of the mucosa, gingivitis, and even oral cancer. The content of cigarettes in the form of tobacco, nicotine, carbon monoxide, ammonia, and other derivatives can irritate the oral cavity when consumed due to combustion. Riskesdas 2010 research data, the percentage of the age of starting smoking in Indonesia is the largest, namely at the age of 15-19 years (43.4%). These data show that most Indonesians start smoking at the age of teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of dental and oral health knowledge and smoking behavior in class XII Mechanical Engineering students at SMKN 1 Katapang, Bandung Regency in 2022. This type of research is a descriptive study with a survey approach. Sampling of this research was done by total sampling. The way this research works is by giving questionnaires to respondents. The results of this study showed that the subject was 68 students where 47 students smoked and 21 students did not smoke. And on dental and oral health knowledge, there were 10 students (14.07%), subjects who had moderate knowledge were 25 students (38.8%), and subjects who had less knowledge were 33 students (48.5%). And for the knowledge of oral health and smoking behavior as many as 26 students who smoke with less knowledge. It was concluded that smoking behavior had a low category of knowledge regarding dental and oral health.
