Abstract

Group guidance and group counseling are two types of counseling services that have been applied for decades at various schools in Indonesia. Both services have been proven to achieve the expected goals such as increasing the courage to speak in public, the courage to respond to people’s opinions, the courage to express their experiences, the courage to express new ideas and ideas, ability to tolerate right, and the development of interests and talents. However, the problem then arises when referring to the English terms needed when using search engines in cyberspace or books about groups in international counseling. Then what concept question arises that can be used as a reference that shows the concept of group guidance and group counseling by Prayitno.

Abstract

The "manjanguak" tradition is a series of funeral ceremonies held at the funeral home which is attended by family and relatives. The study of the manjanguak tradition is more concerned with the social values contained in it such as value of character education. This is because the manjanguak tradition is a tradition that exists in the human social realm that contains character education values. However, there has not been much discussion of its influence on the individual psychological aspects of this tradition. Humans are social creatures that are closely related to their environment. Humans who are detached from social ties will experience mental health problems such as low self-esteem and low self-control. Therefore, this article is a literature review that discusses all the dimensions contained in the manjangauak tradition. This article focuses not only on the social learning process and the values of character education, but also on the individual psychological effects of the manjanguak tradition.

Abstract

BK teachers have a very big role in providing an understanding of the different characteristics of students, which includes intelligence. Therefore, researchers feel the need to conduct research on student's perceptions about information intelligence test results through information services by BK teacher in high school Adabiah Padang. This study aimed descriptive form to describe the perceptions of students about information intelligence test results through information services by BK teacher. The population of this study were all high school students of class XI Adabiah Padang. Data collection tool was a questionnaire that reveals student's perceptions about information intelligence test results through information services by BK teacher, then the collected data were analyzed by using percentages. The findings of the study revealed that student's perceptions about information intelligence test results through information services by BK teachers belong to the category quite well. Based on the findings of the study suggested, should be able to provide more intensive information on the results of intelligence test, especially to students who do not understand the benefits and follow-up of intelligence test results obtained.

Abstract

Learning motivation was considered as a crucial factor for students especially those living in the orphanages. The orphans, certainly, had lack of facilities and attention in learning. The purpose of this research is to know and improve the orphans learning motivation by group guidance service. This was an experimental research which used one group pretest post-test design. The result of the research revealed that there was an improvement on the orphanages’ learning motivation at Panti Asuhan Al-Falah Padang before and after the treatment given.

Abstract

Students who are motivated will prepare before attending college, in college and post-college activities. Phenomena in the field students lack motivation, see there are still students who arrive late, do not read the lecture material, playing phone while in college, and rarely repeat lecture material at home. This study revealed a motivation to lectures. Type a descriptive correlational study with findings of high student motivation, activities and lectures both significant relationship between motivation and lectures.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is the process of face-to-face exchange of information between two or more persons in an interaction with the feedback response. The ground reality, many students still tend to unfavorable communicate  interpersonal relationships between students and consequently less well established. This study aimed to describe the interpersonal communication between students in terms of attitudes of openness, empathy, being supportive, positive attitude and equality. The results reveal the interpersonal communication between students as a whole are in the good category.
