Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to describe the integration process and attitude assessment done by the teacher in mathematics learning process at seventh grade of SMP Al Azhar Syifa Budi Solo. This qualitative research was a case study. The subjects of this research were a teacher and three seventh grade students of SMP Al Azhar Syifa Budi Solo. The data of integration process was in the form of activity within mathematics learning process supported by the subjects’ statement. Data analyzing process began by assessing all data available in the recorder, which includes the learning process and interview. There were three steps in analyzing the data: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. Information of attitude assessment was in the form of information gathering activity conducted by the teacher to the students. The data were obtained from the transcription of recorded interview and learning process. Validation techniques used were perseverance maintenance and time triangulation. The results of this research are as follows: 1) Integration process of attitude in mathematics learning at seventh grade of SMP Al Azhar Budi Syifa Solo based on Curriculum 2013. During observation learning process, the teacher asks the students to observe objects and events in daily life related to mathematics learning topic. During question and answer learning process, the teacher gives questions to the students and provides them chance to ask questions. During information gathering process, the students were asked to discuss a certain concept, to read a book and to discuss it, to examine, to explain, and to solve a problem. During associating learning process, the teacher asks the students to analyze, to associate, and to define in details the learning topic. Lastly, during communicating learning process, the teacher helps the students to summarize the material comprehensively. 2) Process of attitude assessment during mathematics learning at seventh grade of SMP Al Azhar Syifa Budi Solo are: the process of curiosity assessment was conducted by the teacher when the students solved the problems related to the materials; the process of responsibility assessment was conducted by the teacher when the students solved the problems and when the students present the result of their discussion in front of the class. The assessment of curiosity and responsibility were conducted by giving checklist mark on the attitude observation sheet.Key Words: integration process of attitude, attitude assessment process, curiosity,responsibility, curriculum 2013

Abstract

The research is proposed to get module based open-ended approach which are valid and practice on the math topic circle in junior high school. The methodology that use in this study is a developmental research. Subject of this research is 26 students of eigth grade at SMP N 1 Baso. The way of collecting data is by the result of validator scores, the practical was described by observation and questionnaire. All data have been collected was analysed by using statistic descriptive. The result of data analysis come to conclusion, that, This research produces module based open-ended approach on the topic of circle for students of VIII grade are valid and practice. The validity was described by the result of validator scores, where the all validators state that the instrument have been valid based on content and construction, score is 76 %. The practical was described by testing the module to a small group where most of the students were able to learn the module given, score is 79,6 student were able to learn by using module based open-ended approach.Key words: Module, open-ended approach, validity dan practicality, circle

Abstract

Abstract The research is experimental research. This study aims to determine the difference in average mathematics students learning outcomes between learning with and without the use of props Pythagoras on cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). The population was all the students in second grade of SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in the academic year 2014-2015. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique.Data analysis is using chi-square test andstatistical t-test. Based onthe results ofhypothesis test obtained that there is difference in the averageresult of learningmathematicsbetween experimental classandcontrol class and the averageresults oflearning mathematicsin experimental class is higherthan in control class. Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini diselenggarakan di Majlis Taklim Khairun-NisaTambakrejo, Gayamsari, Semarang, Jawa tengah dan memfokuskan pada penerapan prophetic parenting untuk anggota ibu-ibu dari majlis tersebut. Persoalan utamanya adalah ‘“Menjadikan ibu-ibu Majlis Taklim Khairun-Nisa yang mampu mengasuh dan mendidik anak-anak mereka sehingga menjadi generasi Muslim yang berakhlak mulia dan kepribadian yang toleran.” Untuk menjawab persoalan ini saya berpartisipasi langsung di majlis taklim itu dan pada waktu yang sama saya telah membuat modil yang berisi tentang propheticparenting dan membagikannya kepada jemaah majlis tersebut. Dengan memegang modul tersebut, mereka bisa membaca dan mempelajari semua tema di dalamnya. Sementara itu saya mempunyai tugas untuk menjelaskan modul tersebut dan mengajak mereka mendiskusikannya. Dan untuk menambahpengetahuan keagamaan mereka, saya mengundang seorang kyai untuk berpartisipasi dalam proyek saya.Setelah saya melakukan pengabdian ini selama dua bulan, saya bisa menjelaskan bahwa semua jemaah majlis taklim telah memperoleh pengetahuan yang baik (kognisi) tentang prophetic parenting. Indikatornya adalah perolehan nilai ‘80’ untuk hasil ujian mereka. Tentu saja ini baru menyentuh aspek kognisi saja. Bagaimana mereka mempraktikkan prophetic parenting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka setelah proyek pengabdian ini? Menurut saya, saya harus melanjutkan proyek ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana jemaah majlis taklim tersebut akan menerapkan modul saya dalam kehidupan mereka.

Abstract

The achievement of high performance and optimal physical quality is the requirement that can not be ignored by a coach because every sport requires physical quality levels that vary according to the required physical qualities of the sport. Today, there are many types of tests to determine physical capabilities that are used for identifying the talent of table tennis players of all age groups. The available physical tests have not been tested empirically against the physical performance of a table tennis player. This study aimed to develop appropriate physical tests for men and women’s table tennis players aged 13-15 years. The method used was research and development. The development steps included 1) a preliminary study, 2) needs analysis, 3) expert validation, 4) empirical validation, 5) evaluating the effectiveness. The research samples consisted of 73 men’s players and 68 women’s players aged 13-15 who were enrolled in the Indonesia table tennis club (PTMSI) in Central Java; the age chronologically following the practice for at least 2 years and the frequency of exercise being 3 times a week. The data were analyzed using inter-correlation and research instruments consisting of observations with the Likert scale in the form of a rating scale. The results of the research and development show that the appropriate physical tests for men and women’s players aged 13-15 years consist of 6 test items including arm span, hands reaction speed, a tennis ball catching-throwing test, shuttle run, 20-meter sprint and multistage running. The conclusions of this research are:  the developed physical tests are appropriate for men and women’s table tennis players aged 13-15 years, including the length of arm span, speed of reaction hand, tennis ball catching-throwing test, shuttle run, 20-meter sprint, and multistage run tests.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out how the use of Team AssistedIndividualization (TAI) Instruction can improve students’ writing ability of personal recount text to the tenth grade students of SMA Santun Pontianakin the academic year of 2015/2016. The method of the research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR). Then, there were totaled 22 students of the tenth grade students (XD) of SMA Santun Pontianak as the samples of research. The tools of collecting data were observation checklist, field note, and written test. TAI Instruction in teaching recount text was received well by the tenth grade students of SMA Santun Pontianak in the academic year of 2015/2016. TAI was very helpful in giving equal opportunity in learning. Implementing TAI Instruction could encourage and help one another because they wanted their team won. Based on the data, it was found that TAI instruction improved students’ behavior during CAR. They became more confident in writing a recount paragraph. Thus, it can be concluded that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Instruction improved students’ ability in writing personal recount text to the tenth grade students of SMA Santun Pontianak in the academic year of 2015/2016.  TAI instruction is considered one of alternative teaching instruction that can be implemented in teaching writing.TAI Instruction would be helpful to enhance students’ writing ability and involve students actively in teaching and learning activity. So it is suggested that TAI instruction can be used as one of the alternative way in learning writing in the classroom. Keywords: Team Assisted Individualization (TAI), Writing, student’s writing skill, Classroom Action Research (CAR).

Abstract

AbstractThis research reveals an experimental study about the effectiveness of Team Assisted Individualization in teaching vocabulary at a private university in Pontianak. The population of this research was the first semester students of university. The sample was two classes consisting of 60 students taken by using cluster random sampling. The data analysis was done by applying descriptive and inferential statistics (ANOVA and Tukey Test) to test the research hypothesis.Based on the results of the analysis, the findings of this research are: (1) the students who were taught by using Team Assisted Individualization hadbetter vocabulary mastery that those who were taught  with Peer tutoring. In other words,  the use of Team Assisted Individualization was more effective than Peer Tutoring in teaching Vocabulary; (2) the students with high motivation had better vocabulary mastery than those with low motivation; and (3) there was interaction between teaching method and motivation toward students’ vocabulary mastery.Based on research findings, it can be concluded that Team Assisted Individualization is an effective teaching method to teach vocabulary for the first semester students of  university in Pontianak. The effectiveness of the method is influenced by the students’ level of motivation. Keywords: Team Assisted Individualization, Peer Tutoring Method, vocabulary , motivation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa Prodi Bahasa Inggris Semester 1 di IKIP PGRI Pontianak dengan menggunakan Task Based Learning. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah Action Research. Bentuk penelitian  adalah  Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester I  Prodi  Bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI Pontianak tahun  akademik 2015/2016. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 6 Juli sampai dengan 3 Oktober 2016. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik observasi langsung dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan teknik komunikasi tidak langsung berupa angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh simpulan bahwa metode Task Based Learning memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I (65,63%) dan siklus II (87,50%).Kata Kunci: Task Based Learning, membaca, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.

Abstract

Upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan yang lebih baik harus terus dilakukan dalam proses pendidikan agar pembangunan nasional, khusus bidang pendidikan dapat tercapai. Untuk menghasikan SDM yang berkualitas, yang mampu berdaya saing diperlukan guru dan tenaga kependidikan yang profesional sebagai penentu keberhasilan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kinerja Guru MTs- Asshobariyah. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 15 guru MTs- Asshobiriyah dan sekaligus dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian dengan metode sensus. Penelitian ini juga berupaya menguji hipotesis yang telah dirumuskan sebelumnya. Statistik uji yang digunakan adalah Uji- t (T-Test) untuk melihat pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menentukan kinerja guru yang paling dominan adalah kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah. Selain itu terdapat pengaruh yang positif kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan kreativitas terhadap hasil belajar IPS Terpadu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 7 Medan yang berjumlah 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak 64 orang yang berasal dari dua kelas. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Instrumen penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar IPS Terpadu dan tes kreativitas dimana data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANAVA Faktorial 2 × 2. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki kreativitas tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki kreativitas rendah, dan ada interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kreativitas terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
