Abstract

Introduction: Occupational health and safety are a system designed to ensure a good safety and health in the workplace. Nurses have a higher risk of accidents and occupational diseases due to managing patients The goal of analyze the relationship or the influence of predisposing, enabling and reinforcing factors, and the concept of core and care in nurses’ safety and occupational health issue nurs in managing patient. Methods: Type of study is explanatory research using cross sectional design. Proportional random was chosen by consecutive sampling technique amounted to 100 respondents based on criteria. The variables measured were predisposing factors (knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and values), reinforcing factor (officers who became a role model), enabling factors (facilities, rules/regulation), core-care (interpersonal, concern), as well as safety and occupational health. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). Result and Analysis: Predisposing factors affecting safety and occupational health, value by t-count of 2.82 > t-table of 1.96. Reinforcing factors do not significantly affect occupational health and safety by t-count of 1.098 < t-table of 1.96. Enabling factors affecting occupational health and safety by t-count of 2.39 > t-table of 1. Factors of core and care factors affecting nurses’ safety and occupational health in managing patients in Benyamin Guluh Hospital, Kolaka Regency have t-count of 1.963 > t-table of 1.96. Discussion and Conclusion: Development of behavioral and nursing theories to nurses’ occupational health and safety showed R-square value of 39.5%. The new model structure are: predisposing factors (knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and values), enabling factors (facilities, rules / regulation), core (interpersonal relationships) and care (concern).Keywords: occupational health, behavior, nursing

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP pada materi geometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain didaktis (didactial design research).  Penelitian diawali dengan studi pendahuluan untuk mendapatkan data kesulitan belajar (learning obstacle) yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 29 Bandung kelas IXE sebanyak 35 orang, SMA Negeri 1 Lembang kelas XI IPA2 sebanyak 41 orang, dan STKIP Siliwangi Bandung mahasiswa semester VI sebanyak 49 orang pada tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 semester genap. Selanjutnya, dikembangkan desain didaktis yang diujicobakan terbatas kepada 30 siswa kelas VIII B SMP Assalam Bandung. Dari uji coba terbatas dilakukan analisis untuk menyusun desain didaktis revisi. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan pada pembelajaran sebelum menggunakan desain didaktis belum dapat menggali kemampuan penalaran matematis, desain didaktis penalaran matematis yang dikembangkan dapat memperkecil gap yang dihadapi siswa, dan siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap desain didaktis yang dikembangkan.The background of this research was the lack of junior high school students’ mathematical reasoning in geometry. This research used Didactical Design Research (DDR) method which started by a preliminary study to 35 students of grade IX E Public Junior High School 29 Bandung, 41 students of grade XI Science Program of Senior High School 1 Lembang, and 49 students of Siliwangi College of Education Bandung in semester VI for academic year 2011/2012. The preliminary study was aimed to explore students’ learning obstacles to develep didactical design. The developed didactical design was implemented to 30 students of grade VII B of Assalam Junior High School Bandung. After this implementation the developed didactical design was revised. The results of this research were the learning tools used by previous teacher have not explored mathematical reasoning yet, the developed didactical design had minimized students’ gaps, and students had positive response about the learning.

Abstract

Hasil penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak peserta didik atau siswa yang kebingungan dalam konsep operasi bilangan bulat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya konflik konsep pemahaman operasi aritmatika bilangan bulat dengan pengetahun awal yang mereka miliki. Beberapa kasus di STKIP Surya, peserta matrikulasi juga masih cenderung menghafal tanpa tahu makna dari perkalian itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini digunakan Matematika GASING (Gampang, ASyIk, dan menyenaNGkan) untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pembelajaran Matematika GASING untuk bilangan bulat menggunakan alat peraga yang dikenal dengan istilah “Gunung Lembah”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pembelajaran Matematika GASING terhadap hasil belajar pada materi perkalian bilangan bulat. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental design dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttests. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 17 peserta matrikulasi STKIP Surya tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan cara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan berdasarkan ranah kognitif taksonomi Bloom untuk aspek pemahaman. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran Matematika GASING. Pengaruh ini tampak dari adanya peningkatan (N-gain) hasil belajar untuk konsep perkalian bilangan bulat yang berada pada kriteria sedang yaitu sebesar 0,59. This research is motivated by the many participants matriculation is still confusion in the concept of integer operations due to conflicts concept of a preliminary understanding that they have the numbers (basic math like addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division of positive integers). Participants matriculation also still tend to memorize without knowing the meaning of multiplication it self. Therefore, the use of mathematical GASING (Easy, fun, and enjoyable) to use props known as "Gunung Lembah". Mathematics GASING at no stage should be controlled matriculation participants to be able to master the material is well known as Titik Kritis GASING . The method used is pre-experimental design to study design one-group pretest-posttests. The sample in this study as many as 17 participants matriculation STKIP Surya academic year 2015/2016 by purposive sampling. The results in this study was the effect of the use of learning mathematics are GASING. In addition there is an increase (N-gain) learning outcomes for integer multiplication concept was moderate at 0,59.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan representasi matematis siswa menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Hal ini diperkuat dengan hasil laporan TIMSS dan PISA yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan matematika siswa Indonesia. Untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis digunakan suatu media pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu media pembelajaran matematika yang dapat merepresentasikan model matematika adalah software GeoGebra. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah software GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi SPLDV. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.2 SMP Islamic Village tahun ajaran 2015/2016 semester II sebanyak 29 orang dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian untuk mengukur kemaampuan representasi matematis. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif jenis pra eksperimen dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media software GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel (SPLDV). Peningkatan yang diperoleh berada pada kategori sedang sebesar 0,651.Low ability students mathematical representation became one of the causes of low achievement of students mathematics learning. This was reinforced by the results of the TIMSS and PISA report which indicates a low ability students mathematical Indonesia. To help students improve mathematical representation, it needs to use a medium of learning mathematics. One math learning media that can represent mathematical models were software GeoGebra. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether the software GeoGebra can improve students mathematical representation at SPLDV material. The sample in this study were students VIII.2 SMP Islamic Village second half of the 2015/2016 school year a total of 29 people with purposive sampling. The research instrument is a test to measure ability description mathematical representation. The method in this research is quantitative method the type of pre experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Analysis of experimental data was using non-parametric test of Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra software media can improve students mathematical representation of the material system of linear equations of two variables (SPLDV). Increased obtained in middle category amounted to 0.651

Abstract

Objective: to prove the effect of Tai chi on the increase of dynamic balance in the elderly. Methods: One group pretest posttest design with 23 subjects of elderly people aged 60-75 years old and given Tai chi twice a week for 30 minutes within one month (8 times). Measurement: Functional Reach Test (FRT) and Time Up and Go Test (TUG). Analysis: Normality test by Saphiro Wilk as well as pretest-posttest different test with paired T-test.  Results: Based on the analysis of normality test by Saphiro Wilk on the pretest and posttest, the obtained result is p>0.05 which means the data is normally distributed. In the meantime, the analysis of pretest-posttest difference test with paired T-test results in dynamic balance value before and after Tai chi as much as p<0.05 (p=0.000); and, it also generates the dynamic balance value before and after Tai chi with TUG as much as p<0.05 (p=0.000). This means there is a significant difference between before and after the treatment when measured by Functional Reach Test (FRT) and Time Up and Go Test (TUG).  Conclusion: Tai chi improves the dynamic balance in the elderly.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini diantaranya untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman materi mahasiswa Papua berdasarkan hambatan belajar yang ditemukan, bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman materi mahasiswa berdasarkan indikatornya, dan bagaimana cara menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri mahasiswa Papua berdasarkan hambatan belajar yang ditemukan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini 6 mahasiswa Papua STKIP Surya Tangerang pada Mata Kuliah Aljabar Linear tahun ajaran 2016/2017 semester I. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci dibantu dengan instrumen tes kemampuan pemahaman materi dan angket percaya diri dengan modifikasi the test of self confidence dari Peter Lauster. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah cara meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman materi mahasiswa Papua adalah dengan: 1) mengadakan review materi prasyarat mata kuliah Aljabar Linear, 2) penggunaan modul kuliah cetak, 3) pemberian tugas setiap akhir pertemuan, 4) mengadakan diskusi secara lisan antara mahasiswa dengan dosen dan mahasiswa dengan teman sebaya, dan 5) mengadakan diskusi dengan dosen di luar jam kuliah, sehingga mahasiswa memiliki persentase peningkatan skor kurang lebih 17,14%..The aim of this study was to find out how to improve the material understanding ability of Papuan students based on their learning obstacles, how about students' material understanding ability based on their indicators, and how to foster the self confidence of Papuan students based on learning obstacles. The subjects in this study were 6 Papuan students STKIP Surya Tangerang in Linear Algebra Course on Academic Year 2016/2017 semester. It employed qualitative method with the researcher as a key instrument assisted with the material undertsanding test and a self confidence questionnaire that modified from Peter Lauster's self confidence questionnaire. The results of this study were the ways to improve the material understanding ability of Papuan students by: 1) conducting a review of material preconditions for Linear Algebra Course, 2) using printed lecture modules, 3) giving assignments at the end of each meeting, 4) hold discussions between students and lecturer also students with peers at class, and 5) hold discussions with lecturer outside the class, so the percentage increase in student scores is around 17.14%.

Abstract

This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon.
