The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit various countries including Indonesia has had a significant impact, both in the fields of work, economy, and education. In the field of education such as universities, lecturers who provide learning, especially English, must still be able to deliver subjects to students even though the students are at home. With the Covid-19 outbreak, the English learning system has undergone a transformation or change where before the pandemic the English learning system was carried out offline or face-to-face by utilizing electronic media such as presentations in class using projectors and computers while during the pandemic the learning system changed to online or through online media such as google classroom, zoom, google meet and more. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, namely research that reveals problems, circumstances, or events. The purpose of this study is to reveal how the process of learning English before and after the Covid-19 pandemic has changed for Jayapura Papua students. The data collection technique in this study uses literature study analysis techniques related to changes in the English learning process before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that there were changes in the English learning process, especially at universities in Jayapura, where from the results of the analysis it was known that before the outbreak of Covid-19, learning activities were carried out face-to-face with activities according to the learning module, namely presenting predetermined tasks using electronic media such as computers and projectors in in the classroom, while after the Pandemic, English learning activities were carried out online through online media such as google meet, zoom and google classroom
