Abstract

Patin fish (Pangasius sp.) is a fish that has been cultivated by many people because it has a high content of omega 3. People consume patin fish meat as a source of protein, while patin fish bones are only disposed of as waste. Collagen is a protein derivative that has the effect of maintaining skin elasticity. This study aims to determine whether the patin fish bones contain collagen and is there an influence of the use of anti-aging collagen patin fish bone cream on the results of changes in facial skin care. Collagen characterization using infrared spectrophotometry and formulated into cream preparations with concentrations of 1%, 1,5%, 2,5%, 3,5% and evaluation of preparations include homogeneity test, pH measurement, emulsion type determination test, stability test, skin irritation to volunteers and anti-aging effectiveness test. The results showed that patin fish bones contained collagen at wave numbers 3250-3350 cm-1 and 1260-1630 cm-1 which indicated the presence of amine and amide groups. The use of patin fish collagen cream affects the changes in texture, wrinkles, moisture, blemishes and pores become smoother. The best formulation is the formula that contains 3,5% of patin fish bone collagen

Abstract

At the age of 30, humans lose about 15-20% of collagen and at the age of 40, humans no longer produce collagen, so additional collagen is needed from outside the body. Serati duck bone (Cairina moschata) has not been treated yet and is a waste. This study aims to determine the presence of collagen content in serati duck bones (Cairina moschata) and to formulate serati duck collagen in cream preparations as anti-aging. This study used an experimental method, using serati duck test material (Cairina moschata). Stages of research include extraction of collagen from serati duck bone (Cairina moschata), characterization of collagen with Infrared Spectrophotometry, manufacturing of serati duck bone collagen cream (Cairina moschata) with concentrations of 1%, 1.5%, 2.5%, 3.5% and evaluation of collagen cream preparations. The results showed that the serati duck bone (Cairina moschata) contained collagen at wave numbers 2920-3280 cm-1 and 1270 - 1630 cm-1 indicating the presence of amine and amide groups. Serati duck collagen can be formulated into an oil-emulsion (M / A) type of cream emulsion with the results of evaluation of the preparation is a homogeneous and stable preparation for 12 weeks of storage, does not irritate the skin, and the pH range of 6.0 to 6.3. Statistical test results show a probability smaller than 0.05. The results of the test of anti-aging cream preparations on the face showed changes in large pores to small, changes in many blemishes to a little and changes in wrinkled skin to become wrinkled. Anti aging cream preparations have shown a significant increase in effect every week for a month using this anti aging cream

Abstract

The collagen content in the human body decreases with age. One solution to reduce these negative effects is the application of collagen in various cosmetic and medicinal products. In the bones contain a lot of collagen and one of them is found in the water duck bone that has not been treated and is the result of waste. This study aims to make an anti- aging cream preparation resep from water duck bone collagen that can eliminate wrinkles, blemishes, shrink pores and smooth the skin. This research uses an experimental method using water duck bone test material. Stages of research include extraction of collagen from water duck bone, collagen characterization by infra red spectrophotomenter, making anti- aging cream of water duck bone with concentrations of 1%, 1. 5%, 2. 5%, 3. 5%, formulation and evaluation of cream preparations and test the ability of preparations using a skin analyzer. The results showed that the water duck bone contained collagen at wave numbers 3280- 3380 cm- 1 and 1280- 1680 cm- 1 which indicated the presence of amine and amide groups. Water duck bone collagen can be formulated into cream preparations with the evaluation results of preparations are homogeneous, stable and non- irritating preparations with a pH range of 6. 1 to 6. 4. Test results from collagen cream preparations show that the higher the concentration of collagen added to the resep, the more it will show a significant increase in effect.

Abstract

Kedondong fruit (Spondias dulcis Soland. Ex Forst. Fil.) Is a fruit plant originating from South and Southeast Asia and spread in tropical areas. Kedondong fruit contains vitamins A, B and C, carbohydrates, protein and fat. This study aims to determine the pulp of kedondong (Spondias dulcis Soland. Ex Forst. Fil.) In the form of ethanol extract which can be formulated into a hand body lotion which at certain concentrations can provide a moisturizing effect on the skin and is not irritating. This research was conducted using experimental methods, using the test material of the pulp of the kedondong fruit (Spondias dulcis Soland. Ex Forst. Fil.). The ethanol extract of kedondong pulp (Spondias dulcis Soland. Ex Forst. Fil.) Was obtained by maceration using 96% ethanol filter, then concentrated using a rotary evaporator. The preparation is formulated into a hand body lotion with a concentration of 0.5%, 1.5%, 2.5% and 3.5%, as well as a blank. Examination of the physical quality of the preparation includes, homogeneity test, pH test, emulsion type test, stability test, irritation test and effectiveness test of the preparation in moisturizing the skin and comparing with preparations on the market using the Skin Moisturer Checker (AramÃ’) and statistical data processing was carried out using the SPSS 26.00 ANOVA method. The results showed that the pulp of kedondong (Spondias dulcis Soland. Ex Forst. Fil.) In the form of ethanol extract can be formulated into a hand body lotion, a homogeneous preparation with the type of oil-in-water emulsion (M / A), has a momentary pH range. After making 6,6-7,3 and pH after 12 weeks of storage 6,3-7,0, the effectiveness test of moisture preparation at a concentration of 3.5% (Formula E) gave moisture (32%) categorized as "moist" which was statistically showed a significant difference with the comparison results, the hand body lotion that was made did not irritate the skin.

Abstract

The plant known as bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) which thrives in the lowlands of the tropics contains alkaloids, saponins, triterpenoids, and flavonoids that are good for the skin. The purpose of this study was to determine whether foundation cream preparations that have humidity activity at certain doses and do not irritate facial skin can be made using ethanol extract of bitter melon fruit flesh. The test material of this study was bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) flesh which was prepared into foundation cream formulations with concentrations of 1.5%, 2%, 2.5%, and blank using maceration process and 96% ethanol solvent. Physical quality examination of the preparation was conducted as part of the examination. The results showed that bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) pulp can be quickly made into a homogeneous foundation cream with a stable oil-in-water (O/A) emulsion type and a pH range of 5.8. -6.3, 5.7-6.2, and none of the foundation cream products containing bitter melon pulp ethanol extract irritated the facial skin after the cycling test. The preparation with a concentration of 1.5% is the optimal preparation and preparation concentration of 2.5% is recommended.
