Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDK Toraranga pada mata pelajaran PKn pokok bahasan Sistem Pemerintahan Kabupaten, Kota dan Provinsi?. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDK  Toraranga dengan menerapkan Metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran PKn pokok bahasan Sistem Pemerintahan Kabupaten, Kota dan Provinsi. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas IV SDK Toraranga maka yang harus dilakukan adalah obsevasi awal, untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal yang dimiliki siswa sebelum digunakan metode diskusi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yakni pada setiap siklus yang dilaksanakan akan terdiri atas empat komponen yaitu : 1) Perencanaan (Planing), 2) aksi/tindakan (acting), 3) observasi (observing), 4) dan refleksi (reflecting). Untuk lebih mengakuratkan hasil yang diperoleh, maka saat setelah akhir setiap tindakan, peneliti  melakukan evaluasi terhadap hal-hal yang telah dilaksanakan. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa data yang diperoleh data hasil observasi kegiatan guru dan kegiatan siswa pada siklus I dan siklus II, serta  hasil tes pada siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan adalah secara klasikal siswa di kelas IV SD Kecil Toraranga memperoleh persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal  sebelum menerapkan metode diskusi 20%,pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 60 %, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 80% . Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas IV SD Kecil Toraranga.Kata Kunci: Metode Diskusi, Hasil Belajar, Mata Pelajaran PKn

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung ubi jalar kuning dan tepung ikan kakapputih  terhadap kualitas cookies. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan jumlah perlakuansebanyak lima perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan tersebut diulang sebanyak lima kali ulangan sehingga diperoleh 25 unitpercobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sample T1 merupakan perlakuan yang paling disukai panelis dengan skorpenilaian kesukaan terhadap warna, aroma, rasa dan tekstur berturut-turut sebesar 3.15 (suka), 3.19 (suka), 3.11 (suka)dan 3.24 (suka). Sedangkan kandungan gizi produk tersebut meliputi kadar air, abu, lemak dan protein berturut-turutsebesar 8.43%, 2.57%, 9.07% dan 13.57%.   Kata Kunci: cookies, tepung ubi jalar kuning, tepung ikan kakap putih, tepung terigu.

Abstract

Pengukuran lingkar pinggang merupakan metode sederhana dan murah yang dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi tingkat obesitas yang berhubungan dengan profil lipid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkar pinggang dengan profil lipid pada dewasa obes. Desain penelitian adalah cross-sectional dengan sampel 67 orang, terdiri dari 34 dewasa obes dan 33 dewasa nonobes, berumur 25-50 tahun. Lingkar pinggang diukur dengan pita meteran non elastik dengan ketelitian 0,1 cm dan kadar profil lipid diperiksa dengan pengukuran yang terstandarisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan lingkar pinggang pada kelompok dewasa obes dan dewasa nonobes (p<0,001) sedang kadar profil lipid pada kelompok obes dan non obes tidak berbeda bermakna secara statistik (p>0,05). Analisis korelasi bivariat menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang bermakna antara lingkar pinggang dengan kolesterol total, (r =0,342 ; p = 0,005) dan  trigliserida (r = 0,377 ; p = 0,002), terhadap rasio TG/HDL (r=0,280, p=0,022). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil lingkar pinggang pada dewasa obes lebih tinggi dibanding dewasa nonobes dan kolesterol total, trigliserida serta rasio TG/HDL berkorelasi bermakna dengan lingkar pinggang. Kata kunci : lingkar pinggang, profil lipid, rasio TG/HDL,  dewasa obes

Abstract

The research purposed to know the implementation result of the learning model of pemaknaan on the topic of acid base titration could be used to develop on the eleventh grade students? character of SMAN 1 Krian. In the research, it was used pre-experimental research by the replication of three times using the design of one group pretest and posttest design. This  reseach used the data analysis of qualitative descriptive to apply on lesson plan (RPP). The learning outcome of students? character was analized by qualitative descriptive and would be continued by Mann-Whitney test for it?s replication. The results were reported that: (1) The lesson plan (RPP) was made based on syntax of the learning model of pemaknaan was conducted very well, (2) The implementation of this model could develop the students? character. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi titrasi asam basa terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Krian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen replikasi tiga kali melalui One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk keterlaksanaan RPP. Hasil belajar karakter siswa dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann-Whitney untuk antar hasil replikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan RPP yang disusun sesuai sintaks model pembelajaran pemaknaan berjalan dengan sangat baik, penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa.

Abstract

Background: Elderly (>60 years old) population is growing in Indonesia. It is important to prevent degradation of cognitive capacity by risk factor identification and treatment.Objective: To identify the relationship between anthropometric status and cognitive capacity on elderly population.Method: This is an analysis of The Fifth Wave of the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS5) data with cross-sectional design. Anthropometric status is consisted of: body weight, body height, body mass index (BMI), knee height, upper arm length, waist circumference, hip circumference, and waist-hip ratio (WHR). Cognitive capacity is measured by modified telephone survey of cognitive status (TICS). Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney test are used for bivariate analysis, logistic regression is used for multivariate analysis.Results: Variables with significant relationship to cognitive capacity are body weight (p=0.0002), body height (p=0.0001), knee height (p=0.0387), upper arm length (p=0.0114), age (p=0.011), sex (p=0.014), and history of hypercholesterolemia (p=0.003). Logistic regression shows that body height, age, and history of hypercholesterolemia are simultaneously affecting cognitive capacity.Conclusion: There is significant relationship between body height, body weight, upper arm length, knee height, and cognitive capacity on elderly population with obesity.

Abstract

Abstract. Balocci Resort Banntimurung Bulusaraung National Park is a location that is overgrown with many natural orchids. This research is a descriptive study that aims to determine the type of epiphytic orchid host tree and the distribution of host trees at the Balocci Resort in Bantimurung Bulusearaung National Park. The method used is a survey method. The stages of the research are termining location and observations, collecting data and indetifying spesies. Based on the result; Alstonia  scholaris, Sauarauia malayana, Mangifera sp, Tabernaemontana sphaerocarpa, Arenga pinnata, Syzygium sp, Elaecarpus angustifolius, Bischofia javanica, Maesea sp, Erythrina subumbrans, Lithocarpus celebicus, Cryptocarya sp, Elmerillia ovalis, Memecylon paniculatum, Ficus benjamina L, Ficus variegate, Ficus fistulosa, Knema laurina, Litsea sp, Uncaria longiflora, Coffea sp, Melicope sp, Planchonella firma, Palaquium lobbianum, and Laportea stimulant which belongs to 19 families. The tree that is overgrows with orchids is Alstonia  scholaris, Sauarauia malayana and Ficus benjamina L. the host tree which is used as a place for growth has uneven surface characteristics of the tree, overgrown with nails and generally mossy. Host tree species that have a wide spread on mount Bulusaraung is Sauarauia malayana which is at an altitude of 700-1300 m above sea level. Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of the use of DR-TA strategy to develop the students’ reading comprehension of narrative texts. This research was conducted at SMP Haruniyah Pontianak. The subject of this research was 35 students of the eighth grade. In completing the research, the writer provided the observation checklist and field note to get the data from classroom activities. Besides, this research also used test (objectives test) to measure the students’ reading comprehension achievement in every cycle of treatment. To conduct this research the writer applied two cycles; cycle 1 and 2. There were only 59% of students who achieve the minimum level achievement (MLA) 70 (seventy) in cycle 1. In this case, the use of DR-TA strategy was focused on the students’ way to predict and to think what the students read before concluding the text. As a result, the students’ reading comprehension achievement of narrative text has indicated the increase from the average scores of reading comprehension in two cycles (cycle 1 and cycle 2). The students’ average scores who achieved minimum level achievement (MLA) 59% in cycle 1 and 85.7% in cycle 2. From these results, this research indicated that the use of DR-TA strategy in developing the students’ reading comprehension achievement of narrative was effective in teaching and learning process. Abstract

In learning Indonesian language and literature needs to take into consideration the involvement of students in creative process. Students are capable of listening the literary works and appreciate them. The implementation of listening learning can be successful if it is employing a contextual approach. This study describes: (1) the needs of teachers and students in developing interactive media in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (2) the arrangement of interactive media prototype employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (3) the effectiveness of interactive media employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (4) the acceptance of interactive media employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools based on stakeholders’ responses.The research employs Research and Development (RD) study that conducts some steps developed by Borg and Gall, as follows: 1) the exploratory study that includes literature review, field study and the initial phases in creating prototype design, 2) the development phase of new learning media, 3) the experiment phase that is to test the effectiveness of old media and new media in listening learning of drama, 4) the acceptance test of new learning media to public. The data was collected and tested its effectiveness with the T-Test statistical analysis.The results of this research show that; (1) teachers and students find difficulties to employ interactive media in listening learning of drama in accordance with the students’ basic competence and lesson plan, (2) the prototype of interactive learning media is developed, (3) the students’ learning outcome of listening learning of drama can be improved with the help of interactive media compared with the learning without it and this is proved by the results of limited field trial and field trial, (4) the interactive media can be accepted by public and has more advantages than the old media according to the result of acceptance test.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning modelNHT (Numbered Heads Together) against numeracy class divisions II SD Negeri 3 Mlekangacademic year 2014/2015. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles of stages ineach cycle; preparation of action plans, giving action, observation, reflection. The subjects were allstudents of class II. Before learning improvement of 8 students only two students who achievemastery learning, or 25%, while 6 students, or 75% has not been thoroughly studied. In the firstcycle of learning improvements, of 8 students there are 6 students who achieve mastery learning, or75%, whereas 2 students or 25% has not been thoroughly studied. Students' understanding of thematerial division two digit numbers from before repair than after the first cycle of learningimprovement has increased significantly. From 25% to 75%. From the results of evaluation of theindividual given before using learning model NHT (Numbered Heads Together) in the form of theuse of props simple, there are only 2 children of 8 students who already understand about thedivision number two figures, it means that only 25% of students who are capable and the rest asmany as six students, or 75% of students who have not been able. After the assessment of learningmedia in the form of the use of simple props, interests and learning outcomes of students increased to7 students (87.5%). While one student (12.5%) needs to enrichment and individual guidance, it isbecause the students do not attend or do not attend school during the discussion of the materialsupplied.

Abstract

Tekanan darah dipengaruhi oleh, psikososial (stres), genetik, usia, jenis kelamin, status gizi, dan gaya hidup. Pepaya memiliki kandungan diuretik dan kalium. Diuretik menyebabkan pelepasan air dan natrium sehingga memiliki efek antihipertensi. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi jus pepaya terhadap tekanan darah pada mahasiswa di salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi experimen dengan desain pre and post test non equivalent control group. Sampel diambil dengan simple random sampling yaitu kelompok kontrol 30 responden dan jus pepaya 30 responden. Uji pre-posttest tiap kelompok menggunakan T-test Paired. Perbandingan efek kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan menggunakan independent T-test. Selisih mean tekanan darah sistolik dan disatolik pre-posttest pada kelompok kontrol yaitu -0,4 mmHg dan -0,9 mmHg. Selisih mean tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik pre-posttest kelompok jus pepaya yaitu -4,0 mmHg dan -2,1 mmHg.Hasil analisis tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik pre-posttest pada kelompok kontrol p-value 0,136 dan 0,560. Hasil analisis tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik pre-posttest kelompok jus pepaya p-value 0,023 dab 0,173. Hasil analisis tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik posttest kelompok kontrol dan jus pepaya p-value 0,032 dan 0,759. Konsumsi jus pepaya berpengaruh terhadap tekanan darah sistolik, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap tekanan darah diastolik. Kata kunci : jus pepaya, herbal terapi, tekanan darah THE EFFECT OF PAPAYA JUICE TO SYSTOLIC AND DIASTOLIC BLOOD PRESSURE AMONG STUDENTS ABSTRACT Blood pressure is influenced by psychosocial, genetic, age, gender, nutritional status, and lifestyle. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of papaya juice on blood pressure. This type of research is a quasy experiment design of nonequivalent control group pre and posttest. The sample was taken by simple random sampling, the control group 30 respondents and papaya juice 30 respondents. Data pre-posttest was tested using Paired T-test. Comparison control-treatment group was tested using Independent T-test. The mean difference of systolic and diastolic pre-posttest in the control group was ?0.4 mmHg and -0.9 mmHg. The mean difference systolic and diastolic pre-posttest papaya juice group was -4.0 mmHg and -2.1 mmHg. The p-value of pre-posttest systole and diastolic in control group were 0.136 and 0.560. The p-value of systolic and diastolic pre-posttest papaya juice group were 0.023 and 0.173. The p-value of the systolic and diastolic posttest between control group and papaya juice were 0.032 and 0.759. Consumption of papaya juice affects systolic blood pressure, but does not affect diastolic blood pressure. Keywords: blood pressure, coconut water, herbal therapy, papaya juice
