Abstract

Blind children have very minimal English vocabulary, so a learning model is needed to improve the English vocabulary of the blind. The type of research is research development (R & D), which refers to the theory of Borg and Gall (1983). The subjects of the study were blind class VIII students in SLB A Payakumbuh. The research produced an English learning model based on Scrabbel Braille Game, and an effective Braille Scrabble game to improve the English vocabulary of the blind.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teachers’ attitude toward performance of students with learning disabilities in t inclusive school. This research used deskriptive quantitative approach. The instrument used was attitude instrument that was given to 54 students with learning disabilities in Padang. Data collected were analyzed quantitatively and described. The results of data found that teachers’ attitude which measured in three aspects have score 77.93% in understanding the learning result of students with learning disabilities. In affective aspect, teachers’ attitude have scores 80.50% in accepting the learning result of students with learning disabilities. Whereas in conative aspects, teachers’ attitude have score 77.92% in behave towards the learning result of students with learning disabilities.

Abstract

Abstrack: This study originated from research results of the assessment carried out in SLBN II Pariaman, where X deaf children aged 11 years has not been able to write a sentence composed. Accordingly, this study was done so that the deaf children can write sentences are structured. In the research hypothesis stated that: media images can improve the ability to write a sentence for deaf children in the third grade II cottage SLB N 20 Pariaman. This research uses experimental research in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with the AB design. Subjects were children with hearing X class III (three). The target behavior in this study is children's ability to write a sentence, judgment was given in the form percentage (%). This research was first seen from the baseline condition in the child's ability to write sentences beginning. This was followed in the intervention condition condition continued to be treated. The data obtained were processed with graphs. So the results of this study can be illustrated by this study suggests that jelas.Hasil, media images can improve children's ability to write a sentence, it can be seen in the baseline phase in which the child is not able to answer ten questions about writing sentences. Thus the hypothesis is accepted that media images can improve the ability to write sentences for third grade deaf children in special school N 20 Cottage II Pariaman. Teachers and researchers suggest further research in order to provide learning by using media images to write sentences in future learning. Kata Kunci: Menulis Kalimat; media gambar; anak tunagrahita

Abstract

This research of background overshadow by problems which researcher find in SLB Talawi Sawahlunto, a child of tunagrahita semester II finding difficulties in lettering vowel (a,i,u,e,o). Matter is proven, when done/conducted by observation in the reality child unable to letter. To overcome this problems [of] researcher try to give alternative by using method of VAKT assumed can assist tunagrahita in improve;repairing ability letter. This research aim to to increase ability letter vowel (a,i,u,e,o) in SLB Talawi Sawahlunto. Type Research is Single Subject Research (SSR) that is research which [in] [doing/conducting] in a condition differ to use A-B desain. where condition of baseline namely the condition of early ability of child in lettering vowel before giving action. While condition of B represent the condition of intervention namely the condition of where child giving intervention [pass/through] method of VAKT. Size measure Goals of behavior seen from how much/many [gratuity/ %] of child can letter from given vowel (a,i,u,e,o). Result of this research seen that ability letter child vowel of tungrahita is mount after giving method of VAKT. This Matter of terbuktu when perception performed within two session that is is first session of baseline before given by intervention which the five of perception times;rill, and percentage of ability letter this condition lay in to span 6,66%, 6,66%, 6,66%, 6,66% and 6,66%. Intervention Kedua,sesi (B) by using method of VAKT, perception counted nine times perception, and percentage of ability letter child vowel of tunagrahita [at] this condition lay in to span 6,66%, 33,3%, 60%, 66,6%, 80%, 73,3%, 86,6%, 100%, 100%. Pursuant to result of this research can mean that ability letter child vowel of tunagrahita in SLB Talawi Sawahlunto can mount to method of VAKT as well as can be suggested to teacher, headmaster that method of VAKT can be used as media in improving ability write child of tunagrahita.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diawali dengan permasalahan yang ditemukan di SLB Amal Bhakti Sicincin, seorang anak low vision yang mengalami kesulitan dalam cara makan. Hal ini terlihat pada saat peneliti melakukan pengamatan terhadap anak dan didapati makan belum sesuai dengan apa yang seharusnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan makan menggunakan sendok melalui teknik modellinganak kelas I di SLB Amal Bhakti Sicincin.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen dalam bentuk single subject research (SSR), dengan menggunakan desain A-B-A dan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis visual grafik. Subjek penelitian adalah anak cerebral palsy sedang. Target behavior dalam penelitian ini adalah cara makan yang baik dan benar. Pengukuran variabelnya dengan menggunakan persentase dari jumlah butir instrumen yang dapat dilakukan dengan baik dan benar.Pengamatan dilakukan dengan tiga sesi yaitu pertama, sesi baseline (A) yang dilakukan sebanyak enam kali pengamatan, hasil persentase pada kondisi ini terletak pada rentang 10% sampai 20%. Kedua, sesi intervensi melalui teknik modelling (B) dilakukan sebanyak delapan kali, persentase kemampuan makan dengan baik dan benar pada kondisi ini terletak pada rentang 25% sampai 80%. Dan pada sesi akhir disebut juga dengan baseline (A2) kondisi awal setelah perlakukan dihentikan.Pada kondisi ini, persentase kemampuan makan dengan baik dan benar anak terletak pada rentang 30% sampai 80%. Kecenderungan arah, kecenderungan stabilitas, kecendrungan jejajk data, dan perubahan level meningkat secara positif, serta persentase overlap (data yang tumpang tindih) pada analisis antar kondisi adalah 0% dan 17%. Semakin kecil persentase overlap, semakin kuat pengaruh intervensi terhadap perubahan perlakuan. Sehingga, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa teknik modellingefektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan makan yang baik dan benar bagi anak low vision. Peneliti menyarankan pada guru hendaknya dapat menggunakan teknik modelling untuk meningkatkan cara makan yang baik dan benar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh ditemukannya seorang anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB Al Azhar Bukittinggi mengalami masalah dalam membuat bunga dari kulit jagung. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti bertujuan ingin membuktikan apakah metode tutor sebaya efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membuat bunga dari kulit jagung kepada anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalahsingle subjectresearch (SSR), dengan desain A-B-A dan teknis analisis data menggunakan analisis visual grafik.Pada kondisi baseline (A1) pengamatan dilakukan lima kali dengan mean level 33,33% kecenderungan arah meningkat (=), kondisi intervensi (B) pengamatan dilakukan lima belas kali dengan mean level 68,86% kecenderungan arah meningkat (+), dan kondisi baseline (A2) pengamatan dilakukan enam kali dengan mean level 91,08% kecenderungan arah juga meningkat (+). Target behavior memiliki overlap data pada kondis baseline (A1) dan intervensi (B) adalah 13,33%, dan overlap data fase baseline (A2) dan intervensi (B) adalah 33,33%, ini menunjukkan semakin kecil persentase overlape maka semakin baik pengaruh intervensi terhadap perubahan target behavior dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode tutor sebaya efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membuat bunga dari kulit jagung pada anak tunagrahita ringan di kelas D4 C Al Azhar Bukittinggi. Peneliti menyarankan pada guru dan peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat menggunakan metode tutor sebaya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membuat bunga dari kulit jagung pada anak tunagrahita ringan.
