Abstract

Pemanas atau sering disebut juga Heater merupakan salah satu jenis pemanas yang memanfaatkan arus listrik sebagai input daya untuk menghasilkan listrik.Arus listrik yang dihasilkan kebanyakan merupakan arus bolak balik (AC) karena daya yang dibutuhkan cukup besar untuk menaikan suhu pada hetaer tersebut. Karena kebutuhan daya yang cukup besar maka pemakaian listrik juga akan meningkat sehingga konsumsi dan biaya akan cukup besar dikeluarkan, pada penelitian ini penulis akan melakukan suatu rancangan dan membuat suatu bentuk pemanas air dengan menggunakan Arduino pro mini untuk menghasilkan daya yang kecil yang dimanfaatkan untuk memanaskan hetear tersebut. Heater yang berbasis elektronika daya memiliki keterkaitan erat dengan frekuensi kerja. Nilai tegangan dan arus masukan, dan bentuk benda yang akan dipanaskan. Masing-masing faktor tersebut memiliki pengaruh terhadap karakteristik panas yang dihasilkan. Dengan menggunakan microcontroller dan elektronika daya, faktor-faktor tersebut dapat diubah nilainya sehingga memungkinkan untuk pengujian karakteristik panas.

Abstract

The coil type heat exchanger is one of the important parts in the process of transferring heat from the exhaust heat to the water. This coil type heat exchanger has not been widely used in combustion exhaust gases. Heat transfer from gas to water in the coil is carried out by conduction and convection along the exhaust. The heat received by the water in the coil will change the liquid phase into steam and then the water vapor will naturally move to flow in the heat exchanger. The volume of water in the coil is half of the volume of the coil heat exchanger pipe. From the results of my research and simulations, the water in the water tank can be heated up to 82 oC. This heat exchanger is able to transfer heat from the hot water coming out of the heat exchanger in the exhaust into the water in the water tank (shell) as much as 2 liters. The final result of the calculation required a heat flow rate of 158.13 Watt.

Abstract

Manufacturing industry is a process that is part of a branch of industry that uses a number of modern equipment such as industrial machines, regular and measurable management programs to transform raw goods into finished and marketable goods. One of the processes in the manufacturing industry is fabrication. This fabrication process goes through various stages until it becomes a ready-to-use product. The fabrication process has several stages, including marking, cutting, drilling, assembling, welding, checking, finishing, sandblasting, and painting. Sandblasting is one of the stages of the fabrication process. This process performs metalworking where the metal surface is made to be rough and flat with a certain degree of roughness and a certain erosion rate, by firing an abrasive material to the metal surface with a certain pressure. This process is carried out with the aim that the metal surface becomes rough, so that paint or other coating materials can stick to the metal surface well, not easily peeled off, and avoid corrosion. This process also goes through several stages of checking or inspection referring to predetermined standards so that in the next stage there are no obstacles.

Abstract

In the world of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) made from wheat flour, the most popular among the people of Indonesia. For the process of making noodles using the traditional method which will take a very long time. The design of this noodle flattening and cutting machine aims to analyze the needs of noodle producers and calculate the results obtained from the design of the noodle flatter and cutter with the addition of a framework. From the results of the calculation analysis that has been obtained: power generated = 0.75 kW, design power = 1.2 kW, correction factor = 1.6, torque moment = 834.8 kg.mm, pulley rotation 1400 rpm, 840 rpm, 710.7 rpm, diameter of large pulley = 50 mm, 65 mm, diameter of small pulley = 30 mm, 55 mm, linear speed = 0.7 m/s, 0.77 m/s, length of circumference of v-belt = 225.6 mm, 636.9 mm, axle distance = 28.6 mm, 224.1 mm, V-belt angle = 139.9°, 154.6°. And the size of the engine frame is 750 mm x 500 mm x 950 mm.

Abstract

Preheater is one form of heat exchanger which serves to heat the working fluid to be fed to the next heating arrangement. Generally the source of thermal energy used is exhaust gas that still has a high temperature obtained from the previous heating system. The amount of heat flow rate given by the hot gas to the water in the pipe is able to provide hot water supply. Construction planning preheater made such use LMTD approach and effectiveness as well as the integrated CFD simulation on Anys15.4, so it can be seen that the performance of the tool. The final results of modeling provide flow and temperature distribution occurs in the heat exchanger. The capitalization use 3D steady flow by choosing K-ℇ turbulence modeling standards as well as to enable the energy equation. Abstract

In everyday life, motorcycles are familiar vehicles. Motorcycles are a combination of various components that work together to support each other and are integrated so that they function properly. Motorcycles can run perfectly if all components are in good condition. One of the parts of a motorcycle is the front wheel. The wheel axle is a rotating stationary part, usually round in cross section which is attached to elements such as gears, pulleys, flywheels, cranks, sprockets and other moving elements. This shaft serves to support the load of the vehicle itself as well as loads from outside such as, humans or cargo on a motorcycle. The purpose of this study is to find out the diameter that must be used on the front wheel axle of the honda astrea grand 100cc motor. the method used is experimentation. The results of this study obtained the maximum normal voltage value on the shaft with a value of 370 Mpa, a security factor of 2.01, a permissible normal voltage of 286,06 Mpa and a shaft diameter used of 10 mm.

Abstract

In this study, glass fiber and palm fiber reinforced composite materials were used with a honeycomb structure, especially a sandwich. The use of this composite material was chosen because it is environmentally friendly and can also be recycled. The use of glass fiber and fiber fiber reinforced composite materials was chosen because it is a lightweight material and also palm fiber is an abundant material and has not been utilized optimally, strong and also cheap. Material testing is done without knowing the compressive strength of the composite material itself. From the test data obtained, it shows the ability to build a honeycomb construction with the average load results being 16,979 N, 11,148 N, 10,948 N. Solidworks is a simulation software used in this study to be used to compare the maximum capacity of stress, strain and displacement results. material testing with simulation results obtained shows that the critical area for stress in each specimen is 25.92 MPa, 17.01 MPa and 16.71 Mpa

Abstract

The front wheels are used to hold the load and maintain the balance of the vehicle while walking. The front axle must be of sufficient dimensions to support the loads imposed on it. This design aims to make an axle using the appropriate material so that it is safe to use, then the method used is to measure directly on the vehicle taking into account the specifications of the vehicle and also the specifications of the axle. The material used to design the wheel axle with bending load is S45C construction steel with a tensile strength of 490-550 MPa. The shaft that receives the bending load produces a stress that occurs due to the shaft of 105 MPa and a permissible diameter of 57 mm while the safety factor that occurs in the calculation of the front axle is 4.2, an element of the machine will be SAFE, if: Material Strength > Occurring Stress. From the calculation results it is also known that the deflection that occurs on the shaft is 7.7 mm.

Abstract

One of the supporting factors for automatic motorcycle to get good performance is the roller. Many users do not know about the influence of the roller on torque and power. In this final project aims to determine the effect of roller weight variations on motorcycle torque and determine the effect of roller weight variations on motorcycle power. This final project research uses automatic transmission motorcycles, namely Honda All New Vario 149cc motorcycles in 2018. In this test using three types of roller weight variations aims to determine the effect of using the CVT on the power and torque of the Honda All New Vario 149cc motorcycles, namely roller weight 15 grams, roller weight 10 grams and roller weight 8 grams using the dynotest method and using a tool called a dynamometer. From the test results of the dynamometer tool on the 15 gram roller test it produces a maximum power of 10.11 HP at 8000 RPM and produces a maximum torque of 31.5 N.m at 2000 RPM, on the 10 gram roller test it produces a maximum power of 10.9 HP at 8000 RPM and produces a maximum torque of 31.9 N.m at 2000 RPM and in the 8 gram roller test produces a maximum power of 11.22 HP at 8000 RPM and produces a torque of 22.9 N.m. The results of this study resulted in a comparison of the three rollers by showing the effect on the weight of the roller used on the automatic motorcycle CVT
