Abstract

This research aims to arrange an empowerment model of enterprise group through the program of Community Development in order to be independent and ready to compete, which is begun from the empirical study of the success of Cipta Busana Cooperative.. This research uses the descriptive analysis by using a case study on one enterprise supervised by PT Badak NGL that is Koperasi Cipta Busana (Kocibu). Kocibu is chosen to be the object of research due to its success to achieve the target to be the independent supervised enterprise in the fourth year. The data analysis method used in this research is the explorative analysis. Based on the research, there are some results such as that Kocibu is one of the supervised Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of PT Badak NGL that could develop and be independent through several supporting programs. Some of key successes of Kocibu are as follows: a high commitment, a good leader, and intensive supervising programs. Besides, a good marketing system also contributes to the key of success. There are some aspects that naturally contribute to the Kocibu improvement and emerge naturally as follows: the leader figure and the high commitment from the stakeholders. While, the aspects emerged by design are: the supervising and training programs, the evaluation, the determination of rules, and the business targets. Hopefully, after this research has been conducted, the aspects appeared naturaly would be realized so early that the success of the public empowerment program will be able to increase.

Abstract

LNG Academy diharapkan mampu menghasilkan individu yang memiliki kemampuan tinggi dan bisa memadukan antara pendidikan dan dunia industri. Hal ini juga mendukung program pemerintah dalam mengurangi tingkat pengangguran, terutama lulusan perguruan tinggi. Program management trainee di Badak LNG, lulusan dari LNG academy menbutuhkan waktu 6 bulan untuk melalui tahap pelatihan kerja serta pelatihan kerja khusus. Sedangkan lulusan program MT di luar LNG academy biasanya membutuhkan waktu 18 bulan untuk melalui masa training. Artinya ini akan menghemat 12 bulan. Sejak kelar perdana di kampus, siswa sudah diperkenalkan dengan lingkungan kerja pada perusahaan gas alam. Oleh karena itu, lulusan LNG academy yang bekerja di Badak LNG tidak menemukan kesulitan berarti saat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kerja. Dalam jangka pendek mereka dapat langsung siap bekerja dan mengetahui betapa strategis dampak dari bisnis gas alam cair dalam peta pembangunan nasional.LNG Academy is able to produce individuals (output) who have a considerably high link and match between education and industrial world. It also supports the governmental programs in reducing unemployment rates, especially the individuals graduated from university. It can also overcome the issue related to duration. Badak LNG Management Trainees, graduated from LNG Academy class, need only 6 months to pass the On Job Training as well as Job Specific Training. Whereas the MT graduated from outside the LNG Academy usually need 18 months in order to pass the trainings. It means that there are 12 months which can be saved (outcome).  Since the early classes in the academy, the students have been introduced to the working ecosystem of the liquid natural gas company. Therefore, LNG Academy graduates who work for Badak LNG have no significant difficulty adapting with the working ecosystem, whether it is related to the working mechanism or other working cultures. In a short duration, they can be directly working-ready and understand how strategic it is the liquid natural gas business field in national and development issues (impact).

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah penyusunan model pengembangan wisata serta penyusunan strategi dalam upaya pengembangan objek wisata Bontang Kuala. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, di mana data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, deep interview, dan Focus Group Discussion. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pengembangan desa wisata berbasis marine ecotourism dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan pengembangan potensi wilayah. Pengembangan wisata harus didukung oleh masyarakat dan lembaga baik pemerintah maupun swasta. Dari sisi masyarakat, perlu adanya pembentukan kelompok pengurus objek wisata yang fokus melakukan upaya pemeliharaan lingkungan dan pengelolaannya. Dalam melakukan fungsinya, kelompok tersebut harus menyusun struktur organisasi dan membuat inovasi untuk menjual dan memasarkan objek wisata. Adapun support kelembagaan dan kelompok organisasi pengelola harus mencapai tahap branding dan promosi. Evaluasi secara berkala juga harus dilakukan untuk memonitoring manfaat dan kendala yang dihadapi. Beberapa strategi pengembangan Bontang Kuala di antaranya adalah: peningkatan sinergi antara masyarakat, kelompok MASKAPEI, sektor swasta dan pemerintah dalam pengembangan objek wisata; ekspose keindahan di Bontang Kuala pada masyarakat nasional dan internasional; penciptaan sikap masyarakat sadar wisata; penguatan kapasitas pengelolaan wisata;  penguatan kerjasama pemerintah dan swasta dalam penyedian infrastruktur; inovasi daur ulang sampah; inovasi di bidang promosi dan pemasaran; peningkatan pendampingan pengembangan objek wisata; pemasaran produk UMKM sebagai cinderamata; konservasi alam, budaya, dan pendidikan lingkungan; sosialisasi pada masyarakat dan wisatawan untuk peningkatan kesadaran merawat lingkungan objek wisata; penciptaan branding Bontang Kuala; inovasi pengolahan limbah; memposisikan masyarakat sebagai subjek bukan hanya objek pengembangan wisata; dan penggunaan bahan bakar ramah lingkungan.   This reserch aims to conduct a tourism development model and to arrange  a strategy to develop Bontang Kuala tourism spot. The research type is qualitative descriptive, whereas the data that used is primary data and observation, in-depth interview, and focus group discussion for data collecting. The data analysis that used is descriptive and SWOT analysis. The research result shows tourism development model base on marine ecotourism could be implemented with develop regional potencies. The tourism development should be supported  by society, government and private institution. Base on society sides, it is neccessaary to create a group to manage tourism spot that focuses to maintain the environment and manage the institution. In the impelentation, that group should conduct an organizational structure and create an innovation to sell the tourism destination. While the institutional nd organizational support should achieve a branding and promotion program. A periodic evaluation should be applied to see the beneficial and obstacles. Therefore, a development strategy of Bontang Kuala is: an improve synergy between society, MASKAPEI group, private sectors, government to develop  tourism spot; explose the beauty of Bontang Kuala of national and international society; create the people awareness of tourism; improve the capacity of  tourism management; cooperation between government and private institution in infrastructure sector; trash recycle innovation; promotion and marketing promotion; improve the supervision of tourism spot development; marketing strategy of SME’s product as a souvenirs; nature conservation, culture and environment education; a socialization towards society and tourist to increase the environment awareness; to create a Bontang Kuala branding; waste management management; to placed a society as a subject not an object; and use a biofuel

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan CSR Badak LNG dengan mengukur tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap program CSR yang telah dijalankan;. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah  melalui pendekatan kajian input, output dan impact melalui analisis Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat, Importence Performance Analysis, dan Compass Sustainability Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan program CSR Badak LNG menunjukkan parameter sangat baik. Tingkat kesesuaian antara kepuasan kinerja dengan tingkat kepentingan masyarakat masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Indikator kejelasan petugas pendamping,  tanggung jawab petugas pendamping, kemampuan petugas pendamping,  kesopanan petugas pendamping, dan kepastian biaya pelayanan adalah indikator yang memiliki harapan tinggi dari masyarakat penerima manfaat, dan perusahaan memiliki kinerja yang sangat baik dalam hal tersebut. Dampak positif yang diterima dari  kegiatan CSR pada dimensi nature, wellbeing, economy, social di Kota Bontang sangat tinggi, di antaranya terjadinya peningkatan kualitas lingkungan, pemanfaatan potensi alam, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, pengentasan kemiskinan, peningkatan kemandirian UMKM, tereksposenya kebudayaan masyarakat, dan tingginya tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan CSR Badak LNG. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the CSR activities of LNG Agency by measuring the level of community satisfaction on the CSRprogram that has been run. It has an impact to the improvement quality program and increase peoples participation as a CSR awardee. The research methods are, input outout and impact study by peoples satisfactory index, Importance performance analysis, and compass sustainability analysis. The research result shows that the peoples satisfaction towards CSR program are in the very good category. The appropriate between satisfaction performance and people urgency also in a very good category. The performance, responsibility, ability, kindness, and the certain of services cost of assistant officer belongs to high prospect indicator from the society. Therefore, company has a very good performance in that program. The positive impact of CSR programs in the nature, well-being, economy, social in Bontang city are very high. There is an improvement of environment quality, the utilization of nature potential, the increase of people income, poverty reduction, SME’s tenacity improvement, cultural advertisement, and people satisfaction are in the high level towards CSR programs of Badak LNG

Abstract

Mangrove forest is one of the resources that has important functions and roles in a single ecosystem. The utilization of mangrove forest also has a fairly high economic value. The existence of mangrove forest has several functions such as a media for mangrove crab cultivation, mangrove cultivation, diversification of mangrove products and mangrove tourism. Some of these benefits were introduced by CSR of Badak LNG program to society around the mangrove forest in Bontang City for the economic improvement of coastal communities by exploiting the existing mangrove potential. Thus, the aim of this study is to calculate the economic value of the utilization of mangrove forest. The research method used is quantitative method by using benefit cost analysis. In brief, the results showed that the utilization of mangrove resources conducted by the community or local community groups such as mangrove crab cultivation, mangrove seedling, mangrove dodol, mangrove syrup and mangrove tourism. The highest direct benefits of mangrove area came from mangrove seedlings (71%), mangrove dodol (9.76%), mangrove tourism (6.82%), mangrove crab (6.47%) and mangrove syrup (5.96 %). Meanwhile the value of choice for mangrove area is 30 Ha. From the calculation results, the benefit obtained of mangrove forest selection was Rp 6.087.150,00 per year. Based on the mentioned value, it indicated that the respondents were willing to pay for the existence of mangrove forest ranging from Rp 50.000,00 – Rp 750.000,00. The total existence value of mangrove forest was Rp 4.375.000,00 for 50 respondents and the total value of existence per year was Rp 52,500,000.00. The total benefit of mangrove forest was Rp 4,749,322,671,00 per year. As the result, the 87% indirect benefit is the largest contributor to the benefits of mangrove forests in South Bontang District. While the second largest contributor is a direct benefit of 12%.

Abstract

The government is currently trying to realize Sustainable Development Goals/ SGDs. SGDs are not merely dreams that cannot be realized. The noble goal of SDG is to realize sustainable development for the better future that is in line with the concepts of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). One of the companies that participated in the realization of SDGS is PT Badak NGL. This study used descriptive analysis to provide clear descriptions or overviews of the object of the study. The study also used a case study of a MSME under the guidance of PT Badak NGL, namely Saputra Snack. Thus, the common goals between CSR, and SDGs is the spirit to realize sustainable development in terms of business strategies by implementing CSR programs. If all elements are committed to realize 17 SDG, so we can provide better future for our children - with low poverty, environment and earth sustainability, low levels of inequality in the economic, social and legal education sectors. Based on the observation and analysis, one of the keys of success to Saputra Snack was its high commitment. The high commitment did not only come from Saputra Snack itself, but also from PT Badak NGL Community Development party.

Abstract

Abstract Bontang as a growing municipality continuously develops all aspects of life. One of negative effects of every developing  city is the increase in the volume of its community waste. Until July 2011 the daily volume of Bontang waste is at average of 54,41 tonnes or 1.686,81 tonnes in July 2011. The waste issue mismanagement will potentially cause some decreases on the quality of  society health, environmental problems, and economy lost. Badak LNG as a key stakeholder of Bontang City was called to solve this waste management issue. In the frame of Corporate Social Responsibility-CSR program, Badak LNG created a special program which was called “A Society-based Plastic Management” as an alternative. It consists of  a series of programs such as  waste bank, training for 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), repacking of carton waste for recycle, and small scale business of waste plastic chopping which now involves 13 groups consisting of 94 members. Based on the empirical study the writer has done, this “ Society-Based Plastic Management” has not only creates products (output) and outcome, but also has created a shared value of green culture towards Bontang community.
