Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of the research were to determine the effect of learning models on mathematics achievement viewed from students mind  style. The learning model compared were TTW (Think Talk Write), TPS (Think Pair Share) and conventional. The kind of research was a quasi experimental research. The population was the students of Junior high school in Pringsewu regency on academic year 2013/2014. The size of the sample was 286 students, consisted of 98 students in the first experimental group, 105 students in second experimental group and 84 students in control group. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test and questionnaire. Hypothesis analysis test used two ways analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The conclusions were as follow. (1) TTW model gave the same effect as TPS, but TTW model  was better than conventional and TPS model gave the same effect as conventional. (2) For all types of students mind style gave the same effect for mathematics learning achievement of students. (3) In each model of learning, students with mind style types concrete sequential, abstract sequential, concrete random, or abstract random have the same effect for mathematics learning achievement. (4) In each mind style, TTW model gave the same effect as TPS, but TTW model was better than conventional and TPS model gave the same effect as conventional.Keywords: TTW, TPS, Conventional, Mind Style, Mathematics Learning Achievement.

Abstract

The aims of the research were to determine to the effect of learning models on mathematics achievement viewed from students cognitive style. The learning model compared were model elicting activities, team assisted Individualition, and direct instruction. The kind of research was a quasi experimental research with 3 x 2 factorial design. The population was the students of Junior high school in SMP N Pringsewu. The size of the sample was 208 students. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test and questionnaire. Hypothesis analysis test used two ways analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The conclusions were as follow. model elicting activities gave better mathematics learning achievement than the students who used Cooperative Learning TAI type and Direct Instruction Assisted Powerpoint, and the students who used Cooperative Learning TAI type gave better mathematics learning achievement than the students who used Direct Instruction Assisted Powerpoint; For all types of students cognitive style give the different effect for mathematics learning achievement of students, In each model of learning, students with cognitive style types field independent gave better mathematics learning achievement than field dependent.Keywords: Kooperatif; MEas; TAI; Gaya Kognitif

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics achievement of the students at MTsGUPPI Kresnomulyo in the academic year 2014-2015 by applying cooperativelearning model, Think Talk Write and direct learning model in terms ofmathematical logic intelligence in high, medium and low categories. This studyincludes quasi experimental with one dependent variable and two independentvariables. The dependent variable is mathematics achievement, and theindependent variable is TTW learning model as the experimental class and directlearning model as the control class. The data analysis was tested by using two-way analysis variance with the measurement 2 x 3. The findings in this study are:(1) the result of cooperative learning TTW type provides the mathematicslearning achievementis better than direct learning; (2) high intelligence ofmathematical logic provides mathematics learning achievement is better thanmedium or low mathematical logic intelligence; and (3) medium mathematicallogic intelligenceis better than low mathematical logic intelligence. It isapplicable in every learning model in higher mathematics logic intelligence isbetter than medium or low mathematical logic intelligence.Keywords: think talk write, cooperative learning model, mathematical logicintelligence

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the difference of the average of mathematics learning outcomes between the students Whose learning using cooperative learning model of type Head Head Together (NHT) Whose learning with the students using Think Pair Share (TPS) on the subject matter of the Circle. The population in this research is the eighth class of the second half of SMP N 1 Adiluwih in the academic year 2017-2018. Sampling was taken by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used to Obtain the data in the form of the test while for the data analysis is done normality test and homogeneity test. Since the sample comes from a normal and homogeneous distributed the data then it is continued with t-Test. Result of the data analysis can be concluded that there is difference of the mean result of student learning of mathematics using NHT type cooperative learning models with a mean of mathematics learning result of student using TPS learning models and the mean of student learning result by using cooperative learning model of type NHT is greater than the average mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by using the TPS learning models.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bantuan keilmuan kepada guru SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung dalam menyusun skenario pembelajaran yang memuat pendidikan karakter selain muatan inti lainnya yaitu pengetahuan dan ketrampilan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan selama empat kali pertemuan dengan peserta sebanyak 25 orang guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan demonstrasi. Praktik lapangan implementasi skenario pembelajaran yang menerapkan pendidikan karakter oleh guru peserta pengabdian, menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diperoleh temuan sebagai berikut: 1) Guru SMP Negeri 25 Bandar Lampung sebagai peserta pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan antusiasme yang sangat tinggi; 2) Para peserta dapat mengimplementasikan penguatan pendidikan karakter kedalam skenario pembelajaran yang disusunnya; 3) Para peserta dapat mengimplementasikan skenario pembelajaran yang disusun dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar; 4) Perubahan karakter peserta didik yang mencerminkan budaya bangsa Indonesia merupakan dampak posistif, dari skenario pembelajaran yang diimplementasikan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the verses of Al-Qur 'an pertaining to numbers. The verses are analyzed and then integrated with Islamic values nilia value aqidah, Shari'ah values and moral values. Implementation of the results of this study are as a reference for educators to implement the integrated math learning with Islam to strive for character education to students. Based on the analysis conducted by researchers from the five verses of the Qur'an, it can be concluded that the integration of mathematics with Islamic values obtained in surah As-Sajdah verse 5 number 1, Surah Al-Maidah verse 73 number 3, surah Al-Baqarah paragraph 261 numbers 7 and 100, surah Al-Anfal verse 65 the number 20,100,200, and 1000, and surah Al-An'am verse 160 the number 10. the number of integration Fifth integrated with the values of Islam, namely, the value of faith, values syari'ah , and moral values.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the level of students' written mathematical communication skills in solving story problems in algebraic material. The population used is class VIII SMP N 1 Gadingrejo 2017/2018 Academic Year. While the sample is class VIII.9 students with sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The analysis results obtained by students who take the test of written mathematical communication skills there are 11.76% of students who have very low mathematical communication skills, 26.47% of students who have low mathematical communication skills, 38.24% of students who have moderate mathematical communication skills, and 23.53% of students who have high mathematical communication skillsKey Word : Komunikasi matematik, soal cerita, aljabar

Abstract

The result of observation at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung in the last 5 academic year, it is found that the result of student learning in Advanced Calculus Course is still a lot of students who get the value of C, D and E is 397 (41,84%) students. This shows that the students' learning outcomes are still low. Allegedly low student learning outcomes due to the independence of learning. This is seen when given the task most students rarely do their own tasks. With regard to the matter then the formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a relationship of independence learning and results learning outcomes in Advanced Calculus Courses, while the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of learning independence and student learning outcomes. Sampling technique used in this research is Simple Random Sampling. To obtain data independence of student learning instrument used in the form of a questionnaire and to obtain data learning results using data documentation of learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with data analysis technique is Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis. Based on data analysis, the result of the research shows that there is a strong correlation between student's learning independence on learning result in Advanced Calculus Course, this is indicated by the magnitude of correlation coefficient 0.566. This proves that learning independence contributes 32,04%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the student's ability to solve math problems in the Differential Equation course in Polya's steps. This research is a descrip-tive study. The research subjects were the 6th-semester students of STKIP MPL for the 2018-2019 academic year. Data analysis used processed and pre-pared data, read the entire data, analyzed the detail, implemented the coding process, described themes, interpreted the data. The study found that the easy variable differential equation problems could be separated, 2 students understood the problem, 5 students initiated the solution, 4 students com-pleted through the plan, 2 students checked again, 2 students completed through the plan, no students checked again.
