Abstract

Counting is a branch of mathematics which is a basic skill that children need to master from an early age. In fact, the ability to count in early childhood is still very low, this is because children find it difficult to count or pronounce a sequence of numbers, count by pointing at objects and pointing to a sequence of objects. On the other hand, teachers do not take advantage of the learning media used to support children's learning outcomes in arithmetic. To overcome this problem, learning to count is carried out using educational learning media Counting Tree because by utilizing educational learning media Counting Tree (counting tree) learning to count will be easier, interesting and fun for children. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning by applying the Counting Tree educational learning media to improve the cognitive abilities of students in Kartika Tanjung Morawa Early Childhood Education. Classroom Action Research with a qualitative approach consisting of three cycles. With the research instrument used was a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. The target output to be achieved in this study is an international journal.

Abstract

The development of science at the present time requires educators to create learning innovations especially mathematics learning that is associated with cultural values. In line with the goals of the State who want to advance the national culture of Indonesia in the midst of world civilization by ensuring the freedom of the people in maintaining and developing their cultural values. With the hope of collaborating between learning with local culture, in addition to preserving the existing culture, it can also help students understand the material. Educators are also required to be able to use various methods in learning so that the learning atmosphere feels comfortable. The more methods and exercises used, the higher the level of mathematical problem solving possessed and conversely the less variety of methods and exercises used, the lower the level of mathematical problem solving of students. The purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities by applying a culture-based guided discovery method. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research instrument used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. Output targets to be achieved in this study are journals.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tujuan artikel ini adalah memberikan informasi mengenai pengertian filsafat matematika, pengertian filsafat pendidikan dan hubungan antara matematika dengan filsafat pendidikan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dan studi literatur (library research). Temuan dalam artikel ini adalah hubungan  antara matematika dan filsafat pendidikan yang saling bersinergi satu sama lain. Kesamaan antara matematika dan filsafat adalah memiliki objek kajian yang sama yaitu begerak pada tingkat generalitas dan abstraksi yang tinggi, mempergunakan akal/ rasional dan tidak melakukan eksperimen, serta tidak memerlukan peralatan laboratorium. Namun, matematika dan filsafat juga memiliki perbedaan yaitu jenis metode dalam menelaah suatu kebenaran. Matematika menggunakan metode deduksi dimana kebenaran dari hasil penelaahannya harus dapat ditunjukan dengan serangkaian langkah pembuktian. Sedangkan filsafat menggunakan macam–macam metode rasional dimana proses pembuktian itu tidak harus terjadi tetapi harus berlangsung dengan alasan-alasan yang diperoleh dari penalaran serta dapat bersifat fleksibel. Kata Kunci:Matematika, Filsafat, Pendidikan Abstract:This study aims to inform the concept of philosophy in mathematics, the concept of philosophy in education, and the relationship between mathematics and the philosophy of education. This study follows a descriptive approach with a literature study (library research). The findings indicate the relationship between mathematics and educational philosophy that synergize with each other. The similarity between mathematics and philosophy is that they have the same object of study, namely dealing with a high level of generality and abstraction, using reason/rationality, not conducting experiments, not requiring laboratory equipment. However, mathematics and philosophy are also different in terms of the method in examining a truth. Mathematics uses deduction where the truth of the results of the study must be presented by steps of proving evidence. Meanwhile, philosophy uses various traditional methods where the process of proving evidence does not need to be presented, but it must take place with reasons derived from reasoning and can be flexible. Keywords:Mathematics, Philosophy, Education

Abstract

This study aims to find out there is a stress coping relationship with the motivation to learn guidance and counseling students in statistical subjects. The data collection instrument used to measure stress coping and learning motivation is the Likert scale. Coping stress is measured based on the forms of emotional focused coping stress and problem focused coping, on learning motivation measured based on the types of learning motivation that is intrinsic and extrinsic. The population of this study was guidance and counseling students and the sample of this study were 57 people. The data analysis used is Simple Correlation. The results showed that stress coping had a correlation with learning motivation with a calculated r value of 0.680> r table 0.261. In this analysis r count is positive, the relationship between the two variables is directly proportional, namely the increasing stress coping will increase student learning motivation in statistical subjects, on the contrary the decrease in stress coping will decrease students' learning motivation in the statistics course.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) How students' mathematical understanding ability of IX MTs S Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa prior to the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy on the subject of How Matching Numbers (2) How Student Mathematical Understanding Ability IX MTs S Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa after the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy on the topic power of numbers. The method used in this research is classroom action research. From the results of observation and ability test in solving the problem of the numbers of rank given to the students, found the location of student errors are: students are less interested in learning mathematics, students do not know what is known from the problem and students are less thorough in solving the problem. The percentage of classical completeness and the average grade of the initial test classes are still low at 27.5% and 54.63. Implementation of think talk write strategy can improve student learning outcomes. This is marked by increasing the percentage of classical completeness and grade point average in the first cycle by 40% and 56.88 to 67.5% and 67.00 in cycle II and to 92.5% and 77.50 at the end of cycle III . Application of Think Talk Write strategy is also able to improve students' mathematical understanding ability. It can be seen by the percentage in the first cycle of 58.03% to 66.24% in cycle II and to 76.24% at the end of cycle III. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan modul yang mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kecerdasan interpersonal berbasis Dalihan Na Tolu pada 16 siswa kelas VII A SMP Ulun Nuha Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan model penelitian yang diajukan Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel yang dikenal model 4D yaitu Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. Teknik pengambilan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan cara analisis kuantitatif untuk menghitung persentase kelayakan modul. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui bahwa kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan modul yang dikembangkan. Modul dinyatakan valid oleh ahli media dengan perolehan persentase kelayakan sebesar 66,3% kategori baik dan ahli materi dengan persentase kelayakan sebesar 95% kategori sangat baik. Modul dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan aktivitas siswa dan penilaian oleh siswa dengan perolehan persentase kelayakan sebesar 84,9% kategori sangat baik. Modul dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan penilaian oleh guru dengan perolehan persentase kelayakan 97,2% kategori sangat baik

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan keefektifan modul pembelajaran matematika realistik berbasis etnomatematika pada materi segiempat dan segitiga untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Deli Tua. Subjek pada penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah siswa kelas VII-2 SMP Negeri 1 Deli Tua yang berjumlah 31 orang siswa. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D Thiagarajan (1974) yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, angket, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa lembar validasi ahli, lembar angket respon siswa dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa: 1) Modul dinyatakan valid oleh ahli materi dengan persentase keidealan sebesar 87% dengan kriteria kelayakan sangat valid dan oleh ahli media dengan persentase keidealan sebesar 95% dengan kriteria kelayakan sangat valid; 2) Modul dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan penilaian oleh 31 orang siswa melalui angket respon siswa dengan persentase keidealan sebesar 80,67% dengan kriteria baik dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika oleh 16 orang siswa menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal sebelum menggunakan modul sebesar 18,75% dan setelah menggunakan modul sebesar 68,75% dan uji n-gain score sebesar 0,75 yang termasuk kategori tinggi

Abstract

Draft mathematics used for explore existence mathematics in culture especially in art, one of which is in tools music gondang part time. one culture mandailing is Gordang Part time that is tool music traditionally composed from nine drums with different heights and diameters so that produce different tones and played by 5-6 players. Research this aim for knowing how history and concept mathematics contained in the musical instrument Gordang While. Obtained data form data qualitative whereas data source obtained from observation, documentation and related interview with godang musical instrument part time. Instrument in study this is guidelines interview, sheet observation, and documentation. Type study this is study qualitative character descriptive. Research results show that godang musical instrument Part time this born range 600 AD in the kingdom Sibaruar Connection. Nine drums of Gordang Part time have names different names on each area, consists of the 9 types of drums that have different sizes. Every size have 5 cm difference in each the drum. Gordang Part time have 1 type form geometry get up flat that is form circles on the top and bottom from tube Gordang Part time and 2 types form geometry get up room that is tube and cone beheaded.

Abstract

Lokasi Mitra Pengabdian di SD SWASTA BAKTI –II Jalan Keladi No.61 Tanjung Mulia Hilir Medan . Fokus Permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian program kemitraan masyarakat ini adalah : 1) Persepsi guru terhadap fungsi LKPD dalam pembelajaran cendrung berpusat pada guru. 2) Guru belum terampil membuat LKPD sendiri untuk dapat menciptakan situasi dan kondisi belajar secara efektif, inovatif dan kreatif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan . 3) Minimnya keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan LKPD berbasis Proyek. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah mengadakan pendampingan pembuatan LKPD berbasis proyek pada guru SD Swasta Bakti – II Tahap kegiatan Tahap 1) Sosialisasi LKPD berbasis proyek, 2) Peatihan merancang LKPD berbasis proyek, 3) Evaluasi Implementasi LKPD berbasis proyek , 4) Refleksi dan tindak lanjut, 5 ) Penulisan Laporan, 6) Diseminasi, analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, dalam pelaksanaan tugasnya tim pengabdian memposisiskan dirinya sebagai perencana dan pembimbing, pemberi informasi, fasilitator, motivator dan evaluator.Medan Hasil Kegiatan dideskripsikan berdasar hasil analisis penilaian dari 13 peserta terdapat 84,61 % yang menyatakan “Sangat Puas” dengan Pelatihan ini yang didukung dengan beberapa indikator bahwa kegiatan pengabdian yang diselenggarakan dapat diikuti dengan lancar, penuh pemahaman serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat LKPD berbasis Proyek , 15,38 % peserta menyatakan “ Puas “ dengan keterangan masih butuh pendampingan dalam pemahaman berbasis proyek.

Abstract

This article will discuss the communication skills of SMP IT Al Ikhwan students in class VII-1 and VII-2 each with a total of 32 students, after being given learning through RME. Determination of the sample is done by simple random. The research instrument used in this study was a test that was statistically analyzed using N-Gain. After carrying out a series of activities starting from the pretest, treatment and posttest, it can be concluded that the use of RME was apparently good for improving mathematical communication skills as seen from the N-Gain acquisition for each class that was sampled. The learning process that uses RME opens opportunities for students to be able to play a more active role in expressing themselves in solving mathematical problems and realistic mathematics education gets a very good response, students really like it and feel very excited.
