Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuankomunikasi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe InsideOutside Circle. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Populasidalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di KabupatenCirebon tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Sampel untuk penelitian ini diambil satu kelasdengan teknik purposive sampling yang pembelajarannya menggunakan modelpembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle. Instrumen yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Analisis datadilakukan terhadap rata-rata postes tiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahuibahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yangpembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside OutsideCircle pada pokok bahasan fungsi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh model Pembelajaran MatematikaInteraktif Berbasis Komputer Tipe Drill Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan SpatialSense Siswa SMP dalam Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Kadugede yang berjumlah 8 kelas,sedangkan untuk sampel diambil kelas IX C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IXD sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian dijaring melalui instrumen teskemampuan spatial sense , pedoman wawancara, dan angket siswa.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Kemampuan spatial sense siswa SMPyang mendapat pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasis komputer tipe drill lebihbaik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Peningkatankemampuan spatial sense siswa SMP yang mendapat pembelajaran matematikainteraktif berbasis komputer tipe drill sebesar 0,48 yang menurut kriteria Haketermasuk sedang (2) Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika interaktifberbasis komputer tipe drill positif. Dari hasil perhitungan angket dan wawancaradiperoleh presentase siswa yang mendukung sebesar 81,28 %, sehinggaberdasarkan kriteria Maulana dapat disimpulkan bahwa hampir seluruh siswamemberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasiskomputer tipe drill. (3) Keunggulan pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasiskomputer tipe drill diantaranya : (a) Belajar komputer dengan menggunakanmultimedia interaktif dapat menumbuhkan minat siswa dalam belajar matematika. (b)Belajar komputer dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dapat membantu siswamemahami konsep bangun ruang sisi lengkung. (c) Animasi yang ditampilkan dapatmembantu siswa memvisualisasikan bangun ruang yang dipelajari. Sedangkan untukkelemahannya adalah keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana untuk mendukungpembelajaran komputer dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan representasimatematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baikdaripada siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasadan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang belajar menggunakan Metode Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasa. Metodepenelitian yang dipilih adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompokkontrol non-ekuivalen (non equivalent control group design). Pada desain eksperimenini terdapat dua kelompok sampel, adanya pretest, perlakuan yang berbeda danadanya posttest. Sampel pada kelompok pertama merupakan kelas eksperimen yangmenggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta. Sementara itu kelompok keduasebagai kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaranbiasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematissiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Alberta lebih baik daripadasiswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa dan peningkatan kemampuanrepresentasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Albertalebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

Improving Student Mathematical Communication Ability.This study used a description test instrument to evaluate students' mathematicalcommunication abilities and used student response questionnaires to find out howstudents respond to the applied learning. To compare the ability of the two classes theresearcher uses one-way t test for two independent samples, Meanwhile, to analyzethe hypothesis of the class gain experiment, researchers used one sample t-test.From the pretest result it was known that the mean score of the experimental class was 4,57 and the control class was 3,79. Through the t-test at that value it is known that thitung = 1,86 while at 5% freedom degree and dk = 86 is known ttabel = 1,99. From both data it was known that -1,99 ? 1,86 ? 1,99 then it meets the acceptance criteria of H0. It means both classes have the initial ability of the same mathematical communication. Meanwhile, from posttest result it was known that the average of experiment class score was 11,53 and control class was 7,57. Because the posttest scores of the experimental class and homogeneous controls, then the comparative test was performed by the t-test. From the t-test it was known that thitung = 3,81 and ttabel = 1,67. From both data it was known that thitung ? ttable then thitung was not available in the reception area H0. This means that after the treatment of students' mathematical communication abilities, the experimental class was better than the control class. The improvement of mathematical communication ability of experimental class students were in the medium category. In addition, from the results of questionnaire responses of students, it was known that students showed a positive response to the probing-prompting learning model.

Abstract

Application Of Cooperative Learning ModelType Think Talk Write In An Effort To Increase Mathematical Communication Skill.This study aims to examine the improvement of students' mathematicalcommunication skills with Think Talk Write model. This research involvesexperimental class and control class which is taken from class VII (Seven) SMPNegeri 1 Lebakwangi academic year 2016/2017. From the results of the pre-testknown that mean score of the control class was 9,53 while the experiment class is16,85. While the result of the post-test show that the mean of the control classes skorare 26,12 then the mean of the experiment classes score 29,75. The data that gettingfrom post-test doesn’t come from the normal distribution, so this dara was comparedby using Mann-Whitney (U) test for large samples. From the analyze, we know thatzcount = 0,43 dan ztable = 1,64. From both of data we know that 0,43 < 1,64. It meansthat after treatment the experiment classes student’s of mathematical communicationmore than control classes. The improvement of the mathematical communicationability of the classroom is not in addition to the result of the student responsequestionnaire, it is known that the students show neutral response to the learningmodel Think Talk Write.

Abstract

The purpose in this research is to know of student respond to medium visual action in mathematic subject studying in order to up student interest in the classroom. The research is conducted through the stage of pre-test and cycle in which the data are collected through tests and analyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that there is a significant improvement of the students’ interest after they have been exposed with the implementation of visual media presentation. The students’ completeness of the pre-test which is 56% and the average is 73 in Cycle I has increased to 69% with the average 76. The same thing happens to Cycle II in which it increases to 74% with the average of 78. It also happens to the Cycle III in which it increases to 86% and the average is 80. The result of the questionnaire which assesses the aspect of comprehension is 91,7 %. On the other side, the result of the questionnaire which assesses the aspect of the improvement of the students’ interest is 93,5 %. The success of improving the students’ interest is also due to the school facility, the readiness of the researcher, and the condition of the students in the classroom. The result of the research is that the implementation of visual media can increase the students’ interest in learning. The advise can give are the teacher should can to motivation the student with way study diversity in the classroom though student interest to mathematic subject can up more.

Abstract

This research having target to know ability of understanding concept mathematics student by applying model study of co-operative type NHT with student obtaining conventional study. Method which used in this research that is experiment method by using non-equivalent control group design. This research entangle experiment class and control class of class VII in SMPN 1 Cidahu of school year 2015/2016. This Research use instrument of essay test to know ability of understanding concept mathematics student and also use enquette respon student to know student respon to applied study. Pursuant to result of research that ability of understanding concept mathematics of student using model study of NHT more better than student obtaining conventional study. As for enlargement to ability understanding concept mathematics of student experiment class with mean 0,31 residing in medium category. Besides from result of enquette of respon student equal to 95,12% show positive respon of student to applied study.

Abstract

Application of Learning Strategies Means Ends Analysis (MEA) To Increase Students Critical Thinking Skill Mathematically. The background of this research is two improve student critical thinking mathematically using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis. From the result of the pretest known that the mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 16.04, and the experimental class is 18.275. Meanwhile, it is known that the result of the posttest mean score of critical thinking mathematically control class is 62.03 and the mean score critical thinking mathematically experimental class is 78.5. From the analysis of pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using learning strategies Means Ends Analysis is better than the ability of critical thinking mathematical students by using conventional learning strategies. Abstract

Student problem solving on learning mathematics in Class X SMK YAMSIK Kuningan is still low. This is because the implementation of conventional learning model that less develop the ability to learn and build individuals. Conventional learning tends to minimize student involvement so teachers seem to be more active. The habit of being passive in the learning process can cause most students to be afraid and embarrassed to ask the teacher about the less interesting material. One of the learning models tried through this research is the Make A Match learning model. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of Make A Match method in learning mathematics. The population of this research is students of class X SMK YAMSIK Kuningan. Sampling in this research using Cluster Random Sampling technique with M-G pattern that is using balancing technique average pretest value of control group and experiment group. There are 2 (two) variables in this research, namely: (1) Make A Match Learning Model with conventional learning model, and (2) Problem solving student. Data collection techniques used are documentation, tests, and questionnaires. Instrument test results (validity test, level of difficulty, distinguishing power) consisting of 5 items and used for pret test and post test are 5 items. Based on the results of instrument reliability test for pretest, postes, and questionnaires obtained the whole instrument is reliable and can be used for data collection. The test result difference of two average pret test (t is in the acceptance area of ​​Ho) concluded there is no difference between the experimental group and the control group. Test of difference of post experiment group average and control group was found that experimental group was better than control group. Average estimation in control group with mean of student learning result 35.92 meanwhile experimental group average estimation with mean of result of learning 37.94 mean control group result of problem solving at learning of mathematics lower than experiment group, hence there is influence between effectiveness The model of Make A Match learning in mathematics learning in grade X students of SMK YAMSIK Kuningan. Based on the results of the study concluded that learning by using Make A Match model socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in school. In addition to further research as the development of other research. Based on the results of the study it is suggested that the application of Make A Match learning model is socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in schools to improve student learning outcomes. In addition, in the application of this model a teacher should always keep an eye on the class to motivate students' activeness and provide individual and group guidance. Further research needs to be done as self-development so as to develop research in a wider scope.

Abstract

Students' mathematical reasoning in mathematics learning in Class VIII SMPN 1 Cibeureum of Kuningan Regency is still low. This is because the implementation of conventional learning model that less develop the ability to learn and build individuals. Conventional learning tends to minimize student involvement so teachers seem to be more active. The habit of being passive in the learning process can cause most students to be afraid and embarrassed to ask the teacher about the less interesting material. One of the learning model that is tried through this research is Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. The problems in this research are: "Application of Cooperative Learning Type Teams Games Tournament Model (TGT) is better used in students' mathematical reasoning ability in mathematics learning compared with conventional model". The purpose of this research is to know the application of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to students' mathematical reasoning ability in learning mathematics. In this research the method used is experimental method. Surachmad (2001: 148) argued that "experimental method is a way to know the factors that cause the cause of the emergence of a result is to compare the events where there is a certain phenomenon. The population of this study are students of class VIII SMPN 1 Cibeureum Kuningan District. Sampling in this research using purposive sampling technique with M-G pattern that is using balancing technique average pretest value of control group and experiment group. There are 2 (two) variables in this study, namely: (1) Teams Games Tournament Learning Model (TGT) with conventional learning model, and (2) students' math competency. Data collection techniques used are documentation, tests, and questionnaires. Instrument test results (validity test, level of difficulty, distinguishing power) consisting of 5 items and used for pretest and postes are 5 items. Based on the results of validity, reliability, difficulty, and distinguishing test for pretest, postes, and questionnaires, all instruments are valid, reliable and can be used for data collection. The result of difference test of two pretest mean concluded there is no difference between experimental group and control group. The difference test of experimental group postes and control group was found that the experimental group was better than the control group. Average estimation in control group with mean of student learning result 54.21 while estimation of experiment group average with mean of learning result 56.53 mean experimental group result of student's mathematical ability ability on learning mathematics higher than with control group, hence there is influence Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students' mathematical reasoning ability in learning mathematics in grade VIII SMPN 1 Cibeureum of Kuningan. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that learning using Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model is socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in school. In addition to further research as the development of other research
