Abstract

Satu dari lima kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa sebagai bentukpenguasaan matematika adalah kompetensi strategis. Kompetensi strategismerupakan kemampuan untuk merumuskan masalah, merepresantasikan masalah,dan menyelesaikan masalah. Untuk dapat mengembangkan kemampuan ini dilakukanpenelitian menggunakan metode Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan, (1) Untuk mengetahui apakahsiswa yang belajar menggunakan metode TAPPS memiliki kompetensi strategis yanglebih baik daripada siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaranmatematika biasa, (2) Untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaranmatematika menggunakan metode TAPPS dalam meningkatkan kompetensi strategis.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Bandungkelas VIII. Kemudian dua kelas secara random diambil sebagai sampel penelitian,kelas VIII-C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumenyang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen tes dan instrumen non tes.Instrumen tes berupa tes kompetensi strategis sedangkan instrumen non tes berupaangket dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, (1) Siswa yang belajarmenggunakan metode TAPPS memiliki kompetensi strategis yang lebih baik daripadasiswa yang belajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran matematika biasa, (2) Padaumumnya siswa menunjukkan sikap yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematikamenggunakan metode TAPPS dalam meningkatkan kompetensi strategis. Hal initerlihat dari hasil angket berupa rata-rata skor siswa dan hasil observasi yangdilakukan selama dan setelah proses pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya implikasi yang positif antara Model Pembelajaran Guided Inquiry terhadap Kemampuan Analogi dan Generalisasi Matematis Siswa SMA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan 2014/2015. Pemilihan sampel diambil secara acak sederhana untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sampel yang digunakan pada kelas eksperimen sebanyak 39 orang siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 41 orang siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji -t untuk menguji hipotesis statistik. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan analogi dan generalisasi antara siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya, dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa kemampuan analogi dan generalisasi siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan Guided Inquiry lebih baik dari siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini dimungkin bahwa peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematik siswa dipicu oleh model Guided Inquiry yang dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarannya selalu memperhatikan prisip dan karakteristik konstruktivis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran geometri melalui model PACE berbantuan Geometers Sketchpad (Sketchpad); Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB MTsN Model Cigugur Kuningan. Kedua kelompok diberikan pretes dan postes. Hipotesis diuji melalui uji parametrik (Uji-t) dan uji non-parametrik (Uji Mann-whitney), Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis kelompok eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

This thesis presents the findings of a study of the scientific approach to students' mathematical communication skills. The study involved an experimental class and control class taken from 6 grade at SMP Negeri 1 Cigugur. Studies conducted using essay test instruments for evaluating mathematical communication skills and a questionnaire to determine the students' response to the scientific approach. From the results of the posttest data analysis by t test, obtained t_hitung = 6.88 and with t_tabel = 1.686. Because 1.686 <6.888, the H1 is accepted. This shows that the mathematical communication skills students acquire the learning of mathematics with scientific approach better than students who received conventional learning. Begitupulla improvement of communication capabilities mathematical experimental class is better than the control class. In addition, the results of questionnaire responses students note that the students showed a positive response to scientific learning.

Abstract

Amelia Rizki Utami (NIM: 123223004), The application of Open-Ended approach for student’s problem solving skills in mathematical, Study Programme:Educational of math 2016. In math, problem solving skills is the most important. Esspecially when we find the stories task, not a routine task and we can applicate it in daily life or other situation. Student’s skills will be increase if their often faced by problem which is requires understanding of concept, not reminde the finishing procedure. A problem which is requires student’s understanding of concept called as Open-ended. It will be increasing a various aspect of student’s skills. This research is created to find out the application about Open-Ended approach on mathematical problem solving. This is a quantitative research. A subject is student of SMP Negeri 3 Kuningan grade VIII, 2nd semester 2015/2016 educational year. Class VIII D as experimental class and class VIII C as control class. Document is taken by test and form. From analytical result, even the first and last sample normaly distributed and homogen and also before applicating the sample there is no significant differentiation. To find out the difference after apllicating, from both teaching methode using t test. Then, with test criteria thiting > ttabel the result is 2,28 > 2,00. The conclution of teching methode using Open-Ended approach is better than using conventional methode at SMP Negeri 3 Kuningan.

Abstract

Using of Contextual Teaching and Learning Design In The High School Students Upgrade Conection. The background of this study is to improve the students mathematic conection capabilitys by using the learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning. From the pretest result know average score control class mathematic conection is 16,38 and experimental class is 18,375. Meanwhile from the posttest result known average score control class conection is 77,313 and average score experiment class matematic conection is 85,969. From the analysis of pretest and posttest samples can be concluded that the study of mathematics by using model Contextual Teaching and Learning is better than the ability of students mathematical connection by using conventional learning models. The upgrading of the mathematical connection experimental class at the high category addition of the results of student questionnaire responses, it is known that the students showed a positive response to the learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Whether the mathematical connection ability of students who get models learning CORE is better than students who get learning method lecture (2) Whether improvement mathematical connection ability of students who get models learning CORE is better than students who get learning method lecture 3) How is the response students towards mathematics with models CORE. This experimental study conducted at SMP 1 Lebakwangi in the second half for the academic year 2015/2016 with the draft pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP 1 Lebakwangi. Sampling was done by using sampling techniques random simple. From the selected sample, one class into a class experiment, ie classes given models learning CORE and one class as the control class, the classes given learning method lecture. Measurement of mathematical connection ability tests performed using an instrument shaped mathematical connection abilities test description. This instrument has qualified the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results showed (1) mathematical connection ability of students who get models learning CORE is better than students who get learning method lecture. It is based on test results mean difference using the t test which showed (2) Improvement mathematical connection ability of students who get learning models CORE is better than students who get learning method lecture. It is based on test results mean difference using the U test which showed z count > z table yaitu z count = 4,66 > z table = 1,96 (3) The application of mathematics models learning CORE received a positive response based on the student questionnaire.

Abstract

RIKA ROSTIKA. NIM 123223013. Mathematics Learning With Models Learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE) Into Improving Ability Students Understanding Math Concepts. Paper, Kuningan: Mathematics Education Program, Muhammadiyah STKIP Kuningan, 2016. This study aims to determine whether there are positive implications between or not students understanding of mathematical concepts with models learning Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation (ADPIE. The hypothesis of this study is, “the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts than students using learning models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better understanding of mathematical concept than student using conventional learning”. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Lebakwangi in the second semester of academic year 2015/2016. The selection of a simple random sample is taken to determine the experimental class and the control class. The sample used in eksperimental class as many as 30 students and as many as 29 control class students. Instrument to determine the understanding of mathematical concept by using a test essay, while to determine students responses to the Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation learning models by using a questionnair. The instrument tested prior to the 22 student in the population other thab the study sample was obtain 7 valid item description of 10 question. From the results of the test comprehension of mathematical concepts derived average value of the initial test experiment class 18,43 and control class 17,57. While at the end of the test the average value of the experiment class 44,13 and control class 32,33. Analysis using t test for statistical hypothesis testing. From these calculations obtained tcount = 0,589 for the test of equality of two mean, then consulted on ttabel at 5% significance level and 57 degrees of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because ttable < tcount < ttable = (2,003 < 0,589 < 2,003) then H0 is accepted, it means there is no difference between the mean value of the initial test experimental class and control class. While the difference in the two mean test values obtain tcount = 3,827 then consulted on ttable at 5% significance level and 57 degress of freedom, the value ttable = 2,003 because tcount > ttable (3,827 > 2,003) then H1 is accepted, it means the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts that using models Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation better the understanding of the ability of students to use mathematical concept of conventional learning.

Dewi Nuraeni (NIM 123223005), Aplication of Reciprocal Teaching learning Critical Thinking Skills of mathematical Student SMP, Mathematics Education Program, 2016, 366 pages. This study aims to determine (1) what critical thinking skills that derive mathematical study of mathematics by reciprocal teaching-learning approach is better than students who received conventional learning, (2) what there is an increase in critical thinking skills in students who obtain a mathematical study of mathematics by teaching reciprocal learning approach, (3) how the students response reciprocal-teaching learning approach to improving the critical thingking ability of students mathematical. The research method that used in this study is quasi eksperimental method by using the design research non equivalent control group design. The population in this study is eighth grade student of SMPN 1 Lebakwangi 2015/2016. By using the method of purposive sampling, obtained two samples of the VIII-A as experimental class and VIII-B as sample class. The instrument used to determine the mathematics learning achievment is a form of assay test, while to know the students' responses to learning using reciprocal teaching approach used questionnaire

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Silver terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis baik secara keseluruhan maupun ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematik siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Silver tidak lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa; Peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Silver tidak lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa; Peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran Inkuiri Model Silver tidak berbeda secara signifikan ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematika (atas, tengah, bawah).
