Abstract

Development of the management of research and development (R&D) has experienced very rapid progress, especially in relation to win business opportunities at the global level. The evolution of R&D management at the global level now has up to the fifth-generation led to the sixth generation, which is characterized by the magnitude of dependence on the information and communication technology as well as the application of the principles of knowledge management in R&D activities. In order to know the development of R&D management in Indonesia, the study focused on the agricultural and estate crops sectors. The analysis is performed against several criteria of operational R&D Management, which are characterized by their respective R&D generation. Results of the study showed that the majority of the operational criteria of R&D management in agriculture and estate crops sectors in Indonesia mostly are still at the third generation. Challenges of R&D facing in agriculture and estate crops sectors in entering a higher R&D generation is increasing capacity of researchers to become more professional as well as a self-managing knowledge workers, focusing on the user or providing solutions for all user problems’, develop a broader job networking (network), an R&D organization that fosters continuous learning and transnational oriented by developing a more open communication and use ICT as an intelligent knowledge processors, as well as implement collaborative strategies in daily activities, and resulting patent/licences.

Abstract

AbstrakKerjasama merupakan suatu kegiatan bekerja bersama antara satu orang atau lebih secara kooperatif dan menjadi bagian dalam kelompok. Bukan bekerja secara terpisah atau saling berkompetisi.Kerjasama merupakan interaksi dan kompromi dari beberapa elemen yang terkait baik individu, lembaga, dan atau pihak-pihak yang terlibat secara langsung dan tidak langsung yang menerima akibat dan manfaat dari kegiatan kerjasama tersebut. Kompetensi kerjasama menekankan pada peran masing-masing anggota kelompok yang saling bersinergi, dalam menyelesaikan suatu tugas atau proses suatu kegiatan. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah mengkaji pola kerjasama yang dibentuk oleh Ballitas dalam meningkatkan mutu produk yang berdaya saing, faktor-faktor penghambat, dan bagaimana upaya-upaya yang dilakukan ballitas dalam meningkatkan kerjasama. Kajian ini merupakan hasil survei di Balai Penelitian Pemanis dan Serat (Balitas) di Malang, Jawa Timur pada tahun 2012. AbstractCooperation is an activity work in conjunction with one or more cooperatively and be part of the group. Cooperation and compromise is the interaction of some other element that is related to either of an individual, institutions, and or parties involved directly and indirectly who receives due to and benefit from the activities of the cooperation. Competence cooperation of emphasis on the role of each member of a group that is mutually synergize, in completing an errand or process of an activity. The purpose of this paper is to examine the patternsof cooperation in improving the quality of products competitiveness, inhibiting factors, and how the efforts made in enhancing ballitas cooperation. Studies are the result of the survey at balai research sweetening and fibers ( balitas ) in Malang, east java in 2012.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are first, to give a broad picture of marketing pattern of R&D output and second, to describe the marketing strategy of R&D output done by Balitka. The important considerations in improving marketing are: (1) technology capabilities; (2) human resource competencies; (3) research budget capabilities (4) capabilities of infrastructures, laboratories, and other working equipment; (5) capabilities of after sales services; and (6). quality standard; Those six aspects are the main resources to produce qualified R&D output that is able to be implemented by the users. Besides those Balit Palma considers the government policy related to R&D institutions which have applied their R&D output to the users.
