http://dx.doi.org/10.17014/ijog.vol3no4.20081Lithologically, the Nampurejo Pillow Lava, Kebo and Butak Formations, which are dominated by volcanic rocks, spread west - eastly, along the northern foot of the Baturagung Mountains. The Nampurejo Pillow Lava, which has an Early Oligocene age, is overlain by the Late Oligocene - Early Miocene Kebo and Butak Formations successively. The Nampurejo Pillow Lava consists of basaltic pillow-lavas showing pillow structures and they are intercalated by black sandstones. The Kebo Formation comprises alternating sandstone and pebbly sandstone with intercalations of siltstone, claystone, tuff, and shale. On the other hand, the Butak For- mation is composed of polymic breccia with intercalations of sandstone, pebbly sandstone, claystone, and siltstone/shale. The three units were deposited in a deep – shallow marine basin, which was filled by volcanic prod- ucts. Compared to the lower part of the Kebo Formation, volcanic activities during the deposition of the upper part of the Kebo Formation and the Butak Formation were more active.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  pengaruh  model pembelajaran inquiri terbimbing  terhadap  hasil belajar dan mengetahui ketercapaian  keterampilan  proses  sains  fisika  siswa dengan  menggunakan  model  pembelajaran inquiri terbimbing di  kelas  X  SMA Negeri  Tugumulyo tahun  pembelajaran  2013/2014.  Jenis penelitian  adalah eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian pre-test pos-test control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Tugumulyo. Dua kelas diambil sebagai sampel secara acak yaitu kelas X.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X.9 sebagai kelas  kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes  dan  observasi.  Data  skor  tes  siswa  dianalisis  dengan  menggunakan  uji  t dan data observasi dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan  hasil  analisis  data post-test kelas  eksperimen  dan  kelas  kontrol dengan  taraf  signifikan = 0,05 diperoleh  bahwa t hitung >  t tabel (4,08 > 1,671), sehingga  dapat  disimpulkan  bahwa  ada  pengaruh model pembelajaran Inquiri Terbimbing  terhadap  hasil  belajar siswa di kelas  X  SMA  Negeri Tugumulyo tahun pembelajaran 2013/2014. Dari analisis data keterampilan proses sains siswa diperoleh  bahwa rata-rata keterampilan proses sains siswa adalah 75,26% dengan kategori baik.Kata Kunci : Inquiri Terbimbing, Hasil Belajar dan keterampilan proses sains

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the inhibiting factors affecting the productivity of scientific papers publication of UNY graduate school students on indexed international journals, and students’ expectation for the school administration to increase that productivity. This is a survey research carried out by the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (PPs UNY), involving 74 respondents. Data were obtained by means of questionnaire and were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results can be stated as follows. 1) The inhibiting factors came from external factors, namely busy workload, the high cost of international publishing, limited resource and access to printed journals subscription, and limited resource of online journals subscription. 2)  Students’ expectation to increase the productivity of indexed international journals publication are improvement in the dissemination of the program, access to information and services, English writing course, free translation, establish cooperation and networking, and subscription of online and printed journals.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap: 1) faktor penghambat produktivitas mahasiswa dalam publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal internasional terindeks, 2) harapan mahasiswa kepada pengelola kampus untuk meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi karya ilmiah dalam jurnal internasional terindeks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang dilakukan di Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (PPs UNY) dengan responden berjumlah 74 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dijelaskan sebagai berikut. 1) Faktor penghambat publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal internasional terindeks bersumber dari faktor eksternal yaitu kesibukan kerja, besarnya biaya, terbatasnya langganan jurnal cetak, terbatasnya langganan jurnal online, dan terbatasnya akses jurnal cetak. 2) Harapan Mahasiswa PPs UNY untuk meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi karya ilmiah dalam jurnal internasional terindeks yaitu perbaikan dan peningkatan dalam sosialisasi, akses informasi dan layanan, pelatihan penulisan dan bahasa Inggris, bantuan alih bahasa secara gratis, menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak, serta langganan jurnal online dan cetak

Abstract

Basement rocks of eastern part of Sulawesi, from the East Arm to Southeast Arm, are composed of continental and ophiolite origins, which were collided in latest Oligocene – Middle Miocene. After collision, extention occurred in the area that formed a deepening basin in where Sulawesi Molasse was deposited. Some continental terranes distributed in the eastern Sulawesi, could be derived from northern magin of Australia, and the ophiolite was a part of the Pacific Ocean.Key words: ofiolite, continental terrane, collision and basin

Abstract

The Pendul Intrusion consists of andesite, diabas, diorite, and gabbro; that are widely distributed within the Jiwo Hills, south of Klaten, Central Jawa. K/Ar datings of 4 rock indicate that there are two magmatism episodes; Middle Eocene - Early Oligocene (39,82 - 30,04 Ma) and Middle Miocene (17,22 - 13,85 Ma). Trace element concentrations of the Pendul rocks characterize that the magma was originated from subduction environment as a result of mantle wedge melting. The rocks are characterized by low Nb relative to K and La contents. The rare earth element signatures indicate that the Pendul magmas might have come from defferent parent magmas. The Middle Eocene - Early Oligocene parent magmas posses lower rare earth element concentrations than those of the Middle Miocene ones. Keywords: Bayat, Pendul Intrusion, two magmatism episodes, stratigraphy

Abstract

The geological structures in the study area are dominated by faults. The rest directions of the faults are northeast-southwest (16 faults) and north-south (14 faults). The remainder of faults are trending in northwest-southeast (3 faults) and west-east (3 faults) directions. Generally, the northeast-southwest and north-south trending faults are dominated by sinitral faults and a few of them are reactivated as normal faults. Whereas the northwest-southeast and west-east trending faults are mainly dextral and or normal faults.Key words: fault, sinitral, normal, and lineament

Abstract

Semilir Formation crops out widely along the Southern Mountains, the southern part of Central Jawa. This formation plays an important role in both stratigraphy and magmatism of the area. The formation is conformably underlain by turbidite-dominated sediments of Kebo Butak Formation and the upper part is overlain by the volcanic breccia of Nglanggran Formation. On the basis of lithological variation, the Semilir Formation can be distinguished into four units: sandstone, lapilli tuff, pumice breccia and andesitic pumice breccia.  Calcareous clay within the sandstone unit contains nannofossils which indicate an Early Miocene age. On the other hand, fission track datings of zircon, which is contained in the pumice of the pumice breccia facies, have resulted in the ages of 17.0 + 0 Ma and 16.0 + 1.0 Ma or latest Early Miocene.The depositional environments of the formation indicate a shallowing upward sequence, and volcanism was very active during the deposition of the upper part of the formation. Abstract

the central part of the Southern Montains, which extends east-west from Parangtritis (Yogyakarta) to Baturetno Plain (Wonogiri, Central Jawa), is typically formed by clastic and carbonate sediments with volcanic rocks. Volcanic activities had been very intensive during Late Oligocene - Early Miocene. Based on their lithologies, the Southern Montains can be divided into: pra-volcanic, volcanic and postvolcanic (carbonate) periods. The rocks formed during pre-volcanic period are as the basement of the rocks which were formed during the volcanic period. Results geological mapping/study in this Southern Montains are pesented in this paper, e.g. similar formations can be divided into smaller lithologic unit, therefore the formations can be proposed into groups. Key words: Southern Montains, lithostragraphy, volcanism period, basement rocks

Abstract

Cendawan Dark Septate Endophyte (DSE) adalah sekelompok cendawan endofit yang memiliki hifa melanin gelap, membentuk koloni berwarna gelap pada media agar dan mampu mengkolonisasi akar tanaman tanpa menyebabkan gejala penyakit. Belum ada laporan yang berkaitan dengan peran cendawan DSE sebagai agens pengendali penyakit akar putih, khususnya di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan isolat DSE dari Indonesia dengan cara menseleksi isolat cendawan DSE yang berpotensi sebagai agensia hayati penyakit akar putih pada tanaman karet. Tahapan awal dari penelitian adalah isolasi cendawan DSE dari akar dan tanah di sekitar perakaran karet, uji patogensitas, uji dual culture dan uji metabolit senyawa volatil. Dalam penelitian ini, diperoleh lima isolat cendawan DSE APDS 3.2, TBMDS 2.4b, TMDS 2.1, TMDS 3.2 dan SBTBMDS 1 yang mampu menghambat pertumbuhan Rigidoporus microporus penyebab penyakit jamur akar putih pada tanaman karet. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa isolat cendawan DSE bisa diisolasi dari akar tanaman karet dan berpotensi sebagai agensia hayati Rigidoporus microporus penyebab penyakit jamur akar putih pada tanaman karet. Penelitian selanjutnya akan dilakukan pengujian lapangan dan diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini akan memberikan informasi awal tentang peran cendawan DSE pada tanaman karet dalam mengatasi cekaman biotik yang disebabkan oleh cendawan pathogen.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji status mineral fosfor (P) pada ternak sapi potong yang di pelihara di wilayah upland dan lowland DAS Jratunseluna. Penelitian inimenggunakan 30 ternak sapi potong (masing–masing 15 ekor untuk wilayah upland dan lowland), sampel bahan pakan, tanah, air minum ternak, dan bulu yang diambil dari ternak yang diamati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling berdasarkan jumlah populasi terbanyak disetiap daerah upland dan lowland. Kadar P pada sampel dibaca menggunakan alat spektrofotometer dengan panjang gelombang 400 nm. Variabel yang diamati meliputi pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH), konsumsi bahan kering (BK), kandungan P pada ternak, pakan, tanah, dan air. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t untuk mengetahui perbedaan status mineral P pada ternak sapi potong. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ternak sapi potong di daerah upland dan lowland DAS Jratunseluna mengalami kekuranganasupan P. Kata kunci: fosfor (P), sapi potong, DAS Jratunseluna
