Abstract

The population of Indonesia is very large, the majority are women, if properly guided anddirected it will be workers who are very favorable for development efforts. Protection policiesthat are specific to women workers in addition directed to ensure the safety and healthassociated with reproductive functions inherent in self female workers also unsure equality ofemployment opportunities and the security treatment without discrimination in the workplace(equality and gender justice). As a saveguard against the work need to be increased throughimproved working condition, working condition, as mell as working relationship in order toimprove the welfare of workers as a whole and for workers and protection of women need to beconsidered in accordance with the status and dignity. PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital inYogyakarta that is one of the mayor hospitals in Yogyakarta City are certainly a lot of hiringnurse with the number of male nurse as many as 175 people and nursing women as many as226 people. By employing female nurse was then the hospital must also provide the rights ofwomen to nurse in accordance with the minimum set by law. The purpose of this study was tofind out execution protection against female nurses in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital inYogyakarta.The subject of this study was female nurses who were taken asa many as 3 people endthe head of personal. Data taken by the interview guide. This was qualitative research. Dataanalysis was done by using an explanation (explanation building).Implementation of working time there is excess of 2 hours for shift 3 (night) that have notbeen counted as overtime, RSU PKU Muhammadiyah imposed only official holiday for 3 day,the granting of maternity leave / birth / biological autumn, annual leave has been granted inaccordandance with the regulations, provision of food and drinks for female nurses who work innight shift has not complied with, the implementation of remuneration are accordance withexisting regulations, the implementation Jamsostek compliance with regulations.

Abstract

Background: Vegetables can be eaten whole or in part in fresh or raw (fresh vegetables) or cooked. Vegetables is beneficial for health because they contain relatively high nutritional vita-mins and minerals, one of which is cabbage or cabbage. Cabbage has dicucipun may still con-tain pests and diseases, such as nematodes. Due to poor washing. In Indonesia, the nematode intestine is still a public health problem is Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm and Trichuris trichi-ura. Soil, vegetables and water is an important transmission media, a growing number of eggs found in the sources of contamination (vegetable, soil, etc.) will be accompanied by an increase in the degree of endemics. Advanced Research goal is to look at the relationship between the behavior of washing vegetables with intestinal nematode egg contamination in vegetable cab-bage merchant in the Village of catfish pecel Warungboto city of Yogyakarta. This study has the benefit of policy – making in disease eradication wormy and add information that is consumed raw vegetables can infect humans through the intestinal nematode egss Atlanta. Methods: The study was observational analytic study with cross sectional research design. Washing behavior obtained by direct observation to guide traders with check list. Vegetable sprouts are used as raw vegetables (vegetables) contained on the merchant pecel Warungboto catfish in the Village of Yogyakarta. Wash solution for the deposition of intestinal nematode eggs used was 0.2% NaOH solution. Examination conducted by using techniques of direct ex-amination and then examined under a microscope. Data examination of the behavior of the cabbage and wash vegetables presence or absence of intestinal nematode eggs, species of intestinal nematode eggs. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square analysis. Examination results: The results of this examination showed that of 26 respondents found 16 respondents (61.5%) had not properly washing vegetables and 10 respondents (38.5%) had a good washing vegetables. Bivariate analysis for the behavioral relationship with the intestinal nematode egg contamination in vegetable cabbage is a value sig = 0.35 is greater than the value of alpha (? = 0.05) and RP = 3.125 (95% CI: 0.424 to 23.007). Conclusion: There were no relationship between the behavior of washing vegetables with egg contamination in vegetable cabbage worms in the shop pecel catfish Yogyakarta Village Wa-rungboto 2011. Abstract

Background: Based on field reports and findings of the 2008 Health Office Yogyakarta, the number of TB patients in DIY reached 1.141orang. In general, the increase in TB patients in the last seven years approximately 15 percent, Noted there are 428 positive patients with TB in the city of Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, patients who went to the city of Yogyakarta to reach 771 patients with either a positive TB patients and TB negative. Boarding was located in the hamlet Sanggrahan Manokwari, populated by students as much as 50 people. The data was obtained from the year 2005-2009 there were seven known TB patients in Manokwari Boarding Sleman, and some were suspected of showing symptoms of TB patients with a skinny body and the observation of TB team Puskesmas Depok II some of them did not perform to complete TB treatment or medication discontinuation (drop out). The purpose those study to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitudes about prevention of transmission of TB to the behavior of students in a dormitory at Manokwari Sleman, Yogyakarta. Methods:  This study used an analytical observation research with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used  the Totality of all population sampling as the sample of the research  was 50 people with variable measurements using questionnaires. Analyzed research data used univariate and bivariate. Results: The level of knowledge has a level of a very weak relation with the correlation coefficient of 0.21, determination coefficient of 0.000 means that the level of knowledge do not contribute to prevention of transmission of the behavior of students in a dormitory at Yogyakarta, Manokwari and sig 0.904> 0.05, which means there is no relationship between the level of knowledge about prevention of transmission of TB to the behavior of students in Yogyakarta, Manokwari Dormitory. Multiple Linear Correlation Results of 0.520 means to have the relationship that is, the coefficient of determination equal to 0.270 means that the attitude that contributed 27 percent of student behavior in the prevention of transmission in Yogyakarta, Manokwari Boarding and .001 Sig <.05, which means there was a correlation between attitudes about TB with the behavior of students in the prevention of transmission in Yogyakarta, Manokwari Dormitory. Conclusion:  There was no correlation between the levels of knowledge about prevention of transmission of TB to the behavior and there is a relationship between attitudes and behavior concerning prevention of transmission of tuberculosis in students in Yogyakarta, Manokwari Dormitory. Background: Growth of motor vehicle in Yogyakarta mean 11,9 percent of year. With the addition of glass wool, active charcoal, water or other dissimilar substance having the character of adsorb or absorb. this Research target to Know the degradation of rate of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide ( CO) with the active charcoal addition a motor vehicle. Method: this was experimentant research by one group pre and post design descriptively and analytic. Sample of research some of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide (CO) high secretory the muffler of motorcycle honda supra, measuring instrument used in this research field observation with the active charcoal addition muffler motorcycle, and measuring instrument of inspection of carbon monoxide rate (CO) By analysis means of Auto Check 974/S. Analysis the data use the one way Anova. Result : test of Anova of degradation of rate of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide ( CO) with the active charcoal addition 50, 100, 150 gram of motor vehicle. Assess the mean difference average the rate 150gr to rate 50gr showing number  - 1.17600* meaning active charcoal gift 150gr better the than gift 50gr. Seen from value sig for the line of fifth assess sig 0,035 < 0,05 meaning Ho refused and Ha accepted so that there degradation difference by sig. Conclusion : There was degradation of rate of gas emission throw away the carbon monoxide ( CO) with the active charcoal addition at motor vehicle. Abstract

Background: Sausage was a snack with raw meat, crushed meat preserved by salting. Nitrateand nitrite salt is one of the preservatives used in meat preservation process to obtain goodcolor and prevent microbial growth. Nitrite as a preservative permitted its use, but keep in mindits use in food in order not to exceed the limits, so it does not negatively impact human health.Permenkes Republic of. 1168/Menkes/Per/X/1999 about food additives limit the maximum useof the preservative nitrite in processed meat product that is equal to 125 mg / kg. Excessiveconsumption of nitrite can cause harm to the wearer, whether they are direct, ie poisoning, orwho are indirect, ie nitrites are carcinogenic. The purpose of this study to determine the contentof nitrite in sausages at sausage distributor in the city of Yogyakarta in 2011.Method: The study was descriptive research laboratory test. The object of this study were 5brand sausage sausage found in a different distributor. Nitrite content analysis conducted by twostages of testing, the test qualitative and quantitative test. Qualitative test performed todetermine whether there is content of nitrite in sausages by using reagents sulfanilat acid-?-naftilamina, while the quantitative tests conducted to determine the levels of nitrite contained inthe sausage with a spectrophotometer. Data analysis results of research done descriptively andare presented in table and narrative.Results: The study of five brands of sausage on the distributor in the city of Yogyakarta showsthat all brands of sausage samples containing nitrite with nitrite levels varied.Conclusion: Of the 5 brands of sausage samples studied, the results showed that one samplehad higher levels of nitrite that does not meet the requirements under Decree No. Permenkes.1168/Menkes/Per/X/1999, namely the brand sausage sample E with higher levels of nitrite of211.294 mg / kg.Keywords: Analysis, sausage, nitrite

Abstract

Background: Some industries know in Orchard of direct Klero Sleman Yogyakarta throw away the liquid waste to river  Gawe  without done a processing beforehand, so that cause the river water becomes the impure. Others, there are sigh from society of around industry know that is incidence of smelling, so that society which live in about industry know to become annoyed. This Research aim to know influence of variation of biomassa Pistia stratiotes L. to degradation rate of BOD, COD, and TSS liquid waste know at Orchard of Klero Sleman Yogyakarta. Processing of liquid waste by exploiting Pistia stratiotes L. expected can lessen compound rate of impure toxic compound and also consisting is in underwater of waste.Method:  this was pure experimental research using complete random device. Involved in variable was variation of biomassa Pistia stratiotes L. as independent variable. Rate of  Biologycal Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Total Suspended Solid (TSS) as dependent variable. Research executed in Countryside of Pereng Sumberharjo Yogyakarta. Measurement of parameter BOD, COD, and TSS conducted in Laboratory Hall Technique Health of Environment (BTKL) Bantul. Sample for this research was liquid waste know in Orchard of Klero Sleman Yogyakarta. Result of research analyzed to use test of ANOVA and test of BNT (Least Significant Different).Result: Result of analysis influence variation of biomassa Pistia stratiotes L. to degradation of rate BOD, COD, and TSS use test of ANOVA show value equal to 2966,67, 8836,57, 1337,33 with level of significance equal to 0,000 (p<0,05) which indication that variation excelsior of biomassa  Pistia stratiotes L. hence excelsior also degradation of rate of BOD, COD, and TSS.Conclusion: There was influences which significant between variation of biomassa Pistia stratiotes L. to degradation of rate of BOD, COD, and TSS liquid waste know in Orchard of  Klero Sleman Yogyakarta. Keywords: Biomassa, Pistia Stratiotes L., BOD, COD, and TSS Liquid Wast, Soybean cake

Abstract

Background: Public places such as public baths and swimming pools are used as a gathering place by many people have potency to be a medium of disease transmission. Direct contact among visitors can transmit disease germs from one to the other visitors. Moreover, the contact can be a deployment medium of a disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between chlorine residue with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimmingpool users in Yogyakarta hotels. Methods: The research was an observational analytic study by using cross sectional design. Sampling of the research uses systematic random sampling and consists of 48 respondents. Research tools used are questionnaires and laboratory tests. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis with a statistical test ChiSquare (X2). Results: Results of the study showed that 28 respondents (58.3%) have complaints and 20 respondents (41.7%) do not have complaints. From six water samples taken from swimming pool, 4 samples (66.7%) do not qualify and 2 samples (33.3%) are eligible. Bivariate analysis found that there was a significant relationship between chlorine residue with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimming pool users in Yogyakarta hotels (p = 0.038) smaller than alpha (? = 0.05), RP = 1,83.                                                                                             Conclusion: There was a relationship between residual chlorine with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimming pool users in Yogyakarta hotels.   Keywords: Chlorine Residue, Skin and eye irritation complaints, Swimming Pool

Abstract

Background :  Hospital are organizations that are running health service to the society in certain area of coverage. In giving its service, there is residential service that dominates the services available. It’s because the service giving such contribution for patient care. According to the medical record RSIY PDHI in the current 2 months the residential service experiences increase of patient number, about 10 percent. Thus however causes  the service burden increased and  if it’s continuing may causing fatigue that decreases the services quality. A lot of work may give trouble and stress to the nurses. This research’s goal is to figure out relation between burden or work, jon stress, and the level of conflict to nurse’s exhaustion in RSIY PDHI.Methods :  This research was a quantitative research using analytical survey method (explanatory study) with cross sectional plan of research. Samples are nurses of residential service, 52 persons in number. This research utilizes questionnaire and data analysis with chi-square equation (?=0.05).Results :  This research showed there are strong relationship between burden of work, job stress, and  the  level of conflict to nurse’s exhaustion among  the nurses with  level of significance burden of work (?=0.000), job stress (?=0.026), and the level of conflict (?=0.000).Conclusion :  Any  relation between burden of work with nurse’s  exhaustion  in  residential  service. Any relation between job stress with nurse’s exhaustion and any relation between the level of conflict with nurse’s exhaustion. That’s way it’s needed to develop the nurse’s career, well stress management, and conflict optimizing that the nurses would be kept motivated in working that it would tackle nurse’s exhaustion. Background: The industrial advancement needed occupational health and safety higher.Accident is case who unwanted occurred and unknown whenever happened., but could beanticipated. Appeared the secured condition from the accident possibility would fluented theworkability company and kept the work productivity. There was some way to decreased workaccident possibility, many method could done by increasing APD utilization frequencies atproduction level. Occupational accident generally caused by many factors and often caused byso many reason.Method: This research was observasional research who done with coss sectional approach thevariable in this research was APD utilization, age, work period as independent variable andoccupational accident as dependent variable. This research was performed at November 2008for all workers of rustic department PT.BMB Eksport Yogyakarta with sample as big as 37workers. The file taking over using questionaire. The result of the research analized by simplelinier regression test. The aims of this research was to know the relationship between apdutilization, age, work period with occupational accident to the rustic department workers PTBMB Eksport Yogyakarta.Result : The result of this research showed that (1) there were strong relationship between apdutilization , age, work period with occupational accident with p value = 0,009. 2) there wasstrong relationship between age with occupation accident p value = 0,018. 3) there was notrelationship between work period with occupational accident p value = 0,813Conclusion: There were relationship between apd utilization, age, with occupational accident,there was not relationship between work period with occupational accident to the rusticdepartment workers PT BMB Eksport Yogyakarta.Keyword : APD utilization, age, work period, occupational accident

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang : Monosodium Glutamat (MSG) banyak dipakai untuk keperluan rumah tangga maupun industri makanan dan diperjualbelikan secara bebas. MSG biasa digunakan sebagai penyedap makanan. Mengkonsumsi MSG secara berlebihan dapat meningkatkan risiko berbagai penyakit dan juga dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan. Salah satu cara untuk mengendalikan penggunaan MSG dalam pangan olahan sesuai dengan batasan maksimum perharinya, agar penggunaan penyedap tidak melebihi dosisnya dan aman dalam penggunaannya bagi masyarakat maka dilakukan promosi kesehatan dengan tujuan untuk menyampaikan dan menyebarkan informasi kesehatan yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penggunaan MSG.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental dengan rancangan penelitian one-group pretest-postest design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang berjumlah 60 orang.Hasil Penelitian : Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh promosi kesehatan baik metode audio visual dengan p = 0,00, maupun metode buku saku dengan p = 0,00, terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan penggunaan MSG. Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata antara kelompok perlakuan metode audio visual dan kelompok perlakuan metode buku saku dengan p = 0,817.Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh promosi kesehatan metode audio visual dan promosi kesehatan metode buku saku terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan penggunaan MSG. Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata antara kelompok promosi kesehatan metode audio visual dan kelompok promosi kesehatan metode buku saku. Kata Kunci : Promosi Kesehatan, Audio Visual, Buku Saku, Pengetahuan Penggunaan MSG, Ibu Rumah Tangga.  ABSTRACTBackground: Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) was mainly consumed for household and food industry and it was freely sold. MSG has been long known by housewife because it is usually used as food flavoring. Overconsumption of MSG can cause several diseases, for example it can affect intelligence. One of the ways in controlling the application of MSG in food production with the maximum-application degree per day, so that there is no overconsumption of MSG, is to perform health promotion on the purpose of conveying and spreading information about health that it could improve people’s knowledge about MSG application.Methods: This was a quasi experimental study with one-group pretest-posttest design. There were 60 housewives as the respondent of this study. Results: The result of bi-variant analysis indicated that there was effect of health promotion both via audio visual method with p = 0.00, and pocket book with p = 0, 00, on the improvement of knowledge about MSG application. There was no different means between the audio-visual treatment group and the pocket book treatment group with p = 0.817.Conclusion : There was effect of health promotion both with audio-visual method and pocket book method on the improvement of knowledge about MSG application. There was no different means between the group of health promotion with audio-visual method and the group of health promotion with pocket book method. Keywords: Health promotion, Audio visual, pocket book, knowledge on MSG application, housewife.
