Abstract

elementary school students, and (2) test the effectiveness of the character building model for elementary school students. The study utilized descriptive qualitative method. The data was collected by using observation, interview, document analysis, and test. The analysis technique of the interactive model and the product tryout were conducted by using experimental technique. The results of the study were (1) the early product development was prepared in such a way that the students would find the values by questioning and internalization processes through role playing, it would be meaningful if it was followed by making them habit in other relevant subjects, modeling, and giving examples; and (2) model could be used to effectively build the characters of the students in elementary schools.Keywords: characters, children story, ethic-spiritual values, elementary schoolsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menemukan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD, dan (2) menguji keefektifan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan terknik observasi, wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan tes. Teknik analisis model interaktif dan pengujian produk dengan teknik eksperimen. Hasil penelitian, (1) pengembangan awal model dikemas sampai pada tahap siswa menemukan nilai melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan proses internalisasi melalui bermain peran, hal itu bermakna bila ditindaklanjuti dengan pembiasaan pada mata pelajaran lain yang relevan, pemodelan, dan keteladan; dan (2) model dapat digunakan untuk pembangunan karakter siswa secara efektif di SD.Kata kunci: budi pekerti, cerita anak, nilai etis-spiritual, SD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis kebutuhan pendidikan karakter; (2) mengkaji nilai-nilai cerita rakyat sebagai materi ajar; dan (3) membuat prototipe model pendidikan karakter. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan R D, yang dilaksanakan di 15 SD mulai Mei-Oktober 2014. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V, guru kelas, dan pengambil kebijakan. Penentuan sampel secara stratified random sampling. Tempat dan peristiwa, informan, cerita rakyat, dan dokumen dijadikan sebagai sumber data.  Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian: (1) Analisis kebutuhan diidentifikasi atas: visi misi sekolah belum menjadi panduan budaya kerja; permasalahan siswa di kelas dipengaruhi kegiatan pembelajaran guru; pendidikan karakter dipengaruhi faktor pembinaan, keteladanan, model, dan pembiasaan; (2) Materi ajar disusun berdasarkan tingkat keterbacaan dan daya pikir siswa; dan (3) Model didesain melalui tahap pengorganisasian nilai-nilai, pengondisian pembelajaran, internalisasi nilai-nilai, dan pengembangan nilai-nilai. Pembelajaran apresiasi cerita rakyat menggunakan media wayang kancil merupakan model pendidikan karakter yang dapat dikembangkan di SD.  This study aims to: (1) analyze the importance of character education; (2) assess the values of folklores as teaching materials; and (3) create a prototype model of character education. This qualitative descriptive study employed a R D approach, which was implemented in 15 elementary schools from May to October 2014. The subjects were students of class V, class teachers, and policy makers. The samples were stratified random sampling. The data sources included a number of places and events, informants, folklores, and documents. The data were collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. Specifically, the analysis employed interactive analysis techniques. The results of the study pointed to the following: (1) needs analysis identified: the school vision and mission have not yet been adopted as guiding principles for creating institutional culture; teachers’ instruction has contributed to creating issues encountered by students in the classroom; character education has been influenced by a number of factors such as coaching, modeling, and habituation; (2) Teaching materials have been prepared based on students’ level of legibility and thinking ability; and (3) The model has been designed by organizing values, conditioning learning atmosphere, internalizing as well as developing values. Appreciation of folklores through the use of puppets (wayang kancil) can thus be adopted as a model to teach character education in primary schools.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk kohesi berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat, (2) bentuk koherensi berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat, dan (3) relevansi hasil analisis  bentuk kohesi dan koherensi sebagai bahan pelajaran bahasa Jawa di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa data tertulis berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat. Sumber data penelitian adalah dokumen dan informan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan cara analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif. Simpulan: (1) Kohesi berita di majalah Panyebar Semangat berbentuk gramatikal dan leksikal. Unsur konjugasi mendominasi dalam kohesi gramatikal dibandingkan dengan unsur pengacuan, substitusi, dan pelesapan; sedangkan unsur repetisi mendominasi dalam kohesi bentuk dibandingkan dengan unsur sinonimi, antonimi, kolokasi, hiponimi, dan ekuivalensi; (2) Koherensi berita di majalah Panyebar Semangat jenis hubungan sebab-akibat lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan jenis hubungan sarana-hasil, alasan-sebab, sarana-tujuan, latar-kesimpulan, syarat-hasil, parafrasis, amplikatif, aditif-waktu, indentifikasi, generik-spesifik, dan ibarat; (3) Berbagai bentuk kohesi dan jenis koherensi berita di majalah Panyebar Semangat dinilai cocok dan layak dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran bahasa Jawa bagi siswa SMP, baik dilihat dari aspek bahasa, budaya, filosofis, dan kurikuler. Kata kunci: kohesi, koherensi, berita berbahasa Jawa, materi pembelajaran Abstract The purpose of this research is describe: (1) cohession aspect in Javanese news in Panjebar Semangat magazine, (2) coherence aspect in Javanese news in Panjebar Semangat magazine, and (3) their relevance as learning material of Javanese class in Junior High School. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. The data of the study using writing data form Javanese news in Panjebar Semangat magazine. Sources of data in this study are documents and informants. Sampling technique in this research use purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are document analysis and interview. Data analysis ie interactive data analysis. Conclusion: (1) News cohesion in Panjebar Semangat magazine is grammatical and lexical. Conjugate elements dominate in grammatical cohesion compared to the elements of reference, substitution, and percolation; whereas repetition elements predominate in form cohesion compared to elements of synonymy, antonymy, collocation, hyponimi, and equivalence; (2) Coherence of news in Panjebar Semangat magazine of the type of causal relationship is more dominant than that of the means-of-means relationship, the causes, the means, the conclusion, the outcomes, the paradigms, the amplicatives, the additive-time, the identification, generic-specific, and like; (3) Various forms of cohesion and type of news coherence in Panyebar Semangat magazines are considered suitable and suitable as Javanese language learning materials for junior high school students, whether viewed from the aspects of language, culture, philosophy, and curricular.Keywords: cohesion, coherence, Javanese news, learning materials

Abstract

This article aims at describing: (1) the way how to develop syllabus of Indonesian as general subject, (2) the form of Indonesian syllabus, (3) problems arising in the implementation of Indonesian syllabus. Having scrutinized the relevant theories and empirical experiences, it was found some thoughts as follows. First the syllabus can be developed through five stages: (1) surveying the need, (2) itemizing the objectives, (3) selecting the type of syllabus, (4) preparing proto syllabus, and (5) preparing pedagogical aspect. Second, syllabus is arranged in terms of: the name of subject, the code of subject, semester, SKS, the group of subject, rational, competency, material, learning media, evaluation, and learning resources. This syllabus was focused on the ability of using language items in language activities both in oral and written. It was composed according to teaching learning activities and the order of the material. Learning achievement was directed to process, product, and content orientation quantitatively and qualitatively. The order of learning activities was developed from simple items to complicated items. Third, the competence observed was the ability of using Indonesian in written or spoken in terms of grammar, sociolinguistics, and strategy. The test items were in the form of assignments which are expressive productive in various contexts. Those assignments discussed the usage of Indonesian in real daily life.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the quality of poetry writing learning process bysynecticsapproach.ItisaClassroomActionResearch.ThesubjectisthestudentsofX8gradeSMANegeri3Salatigawhichconsistsof25students.Theteacherplayedaroleas learning facilitator and the researcher as passive participant. Techniques of collecting data were done through observation, test, interview, and document analysis. This Classroom Action Research consists of three cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 steps i.e. plan,action,observationandinterpretation,andanalysisandreflection.Theresultofthe research showed that learning through synectics approach could improve the poetry writing learning process. This improvement was reflected on: (1) the improvement of student'sactivityduringapperceptionprocess,cycleI40%,cycleII 68%,andcycleIII 72%; (2) the improvement of student's activity during teaching learning process, cycle I 66%, cycle II 76%, cycle III 88%; the improvement of student's activity in answering the questionsinspokenorwritten,cycleI53%,cycleII72%,andcycleIII88%.

Abstract

This research aims at describing: (1) the carrying out of literacy teachinglearning; (2) the quality of literacy teaching learning; (3) the obstacles in literacyteaching learning; and (4) the efforts of solving the problems in literacy teachinglearning. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. The sources of data includeplaces and events, informants, and documents. The data collecting technique was conductedthrough observation, interview, and document analysis. Data triangulation,method triangulation, and reviewing informant were used in data validity test. Dataanalysis technique applied interactive analysis model. The research result showed that:(1) learning literacy was conducted through three steps namely planning, implementing,and evaluating; (2) most students achieved the criteria of minimum mastery score, 7.5.Students' daily mean score in reading and writing was 7.5.; (3) the obstacles faced inlearning literacy are (a) teacher and students got difficulties in developing writingactivities; (b) school program of reading and writing fondness didn't run well, (c) media,teaching infrastructure haven't been optimally provided. (4) there were some ways toovercome the problems: (a) giving more assignments on writing especially uprightcontinual handwriting, (b) giving more assignments on reading by providing more booksat school, (c) providing sufficient infrastructure at schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa melalui metode Picture and Picture. Penelitian  tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari  perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi.Subjek penelitian adalah 29 siswa kelas X TBB C. Sumber data berupa peristiwa, informan, dan dokumen.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen.Uji validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode, triangulasi sumber data dan reviu informan.Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif komparatif dan teknik analisis kritis.Simpulan penelitian dapat dikemukakan bahwa penerapan metode Picture and Picture mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan menulis teks narasi. Peningkatan tersebut dilakukan guru dengan prosedur: (1) menyampaikan kompetensi yang akan dicapai; (2) menyajikan materi sebagai pengantar; (3) memperlihatkan gambar-gambar kegiatan berkaitan dengan materi; (4)  menanyakan alasan urutan gambar; (5) menanamkan konsep atau materi sesuai kompetensi yang akan dicapai; (f) memberikan simpulan/rangkuman material; dan (g menugasi siswa menulis sebuah teks narasi berdasarkan urutan gambar.

Abstract

This research is a case study research.. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Source of data used in the form of events, informants, and documents. Data collection technique used are direction observation, interview, and document. The data validity test used is triangulation of source and triangulation method. Data analysis technique used is flow model. The result of this research is description of: (1) the characteristic Indonesian Papuan dialect are divided into linguistic and nonlinguistic elements. The linguistic elements include; (a) phoneme replacement; (b) diphthong replacement; (c) phoneme removal; (d) the use of intonation. Nonlinguistic elements are speech and paralinguistic events; (2) the factors that influence the emergence of Indonesian Papuan dialect are; (a) administrative unity; (b) a specific sense of community identity; (3) the same of geographical area; (d) historical experience; (3) characteristics of Indonesian Papuan dialect has relevance as materials of sociolinguistic subject at Indonesian Language Education Department of Sebelas Maret University.

Abstract

This study aims to identify errors in the use of language in writing official letter to students SMAYPK Tabernakel Nabire, in the year 2017/2018. The research method used is qualitative research method with document analysis technique. The sample of the research is the writing of official letter of grade XII of SMA YPK Tabernakel Nabire. Sampling technique with purposive sampling technique. Source of data used in the form of the result of writing official letter of class XII students of YPK School Tabernakel Nabire. The result of this research is description about error of usage of Indonesian language in writing of official letter: mistake of language in writing of official letter there are 2 factors that is, morphology factor of syntax and spelling factor. The form of the language error is: 1) the error of writing letterhead, 2) writing letter address errors, 3) misconduct writing, 4) raw writing error, 5) mistakes writing date of letter making, 6) mistake of writing of opening letter, 7) mistake of the contents of the letter, 8) error writing letter number. 9) mistake writing address of letter agency, 10) mistake of writing cover letter. Based on the results of the study declared that the ability of writing official letters to students is still low. Improvements that can be taken is to improve the internal and external processes in learning Indonesian especially writing materials on YPK high school students Tabernakel Nabire.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the errors of discourse structure and mistake in Indonesian language text review fiction book grade XI students of Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar High School. This study describes the causes of errors and the efforts teachers can make to minimize further errors. This research is a case study with research data in the form of discourse structure and language errors in the text of fiction book reviews by student. Data collection technique s were carried out by means of observation, competency tests, and interviews. Validity test used triangulation of data source and theory triangulation. Data analysis techniques using content analysis. The result of the study found: (1) discourse structure errors, namely 20 errors in the review text title, 17 closing errors, 12 content errors, and 11 preliminary errors, (2) language errors include 174 uppercase mistakes, 60 comma punctuation errors, 36 dot punctuation errors, 18 preposition errors, 10 italic errors, 4 colon errors, 3 hyphen errors, 3 repeat words errors, 3 particle errors, 2 semicolon errors, 95 errors diction, sentences, and paragraphs; the absence of spelling and punctuation material on the syllabus, lack of student motivation, and the influence of foreign languages and regional languages; (4) efforts to reduce language errors, namely integrating the material, providing motivation to students, and increasing mastery of the correct linguistic rules
