Abstract

Musik kasidah modern adalah jenis musik yang bercirikan Islam yang ada di masyarakat kota Semarang saat ini, dan merupakan suatu fenomena seni pertunjukan yang ada di masyarakat seiring dengan keberadaan seni pertunjukan musik ke-Islaman yang lain. Jenis musik ini tidak hadir begitu saja seperti yang ada sekarang, tetapi mengalami suatu proses akulturasi, yang diperkirakan berasal dari bentuk bentuk musik Islam yang ada sebelumnya yang membentuk musik rebana, kemudian mengalami proses dekulturasi sehingga terbentuklah musik kasidah modern. Pada proses dekulturasi musik rebana mengalami perubahan budaya musik dan perubahan elemen-elemen musikalnya, baik pada komposisi musiknya maupun pada bentuk penyajiannya yang mengakibatkan satu sisi mengalami kemajuan pada aspek hiburannya dan pada sisi lain mengalami perubahan pada nilai-nilai sakral ke-Islamannya.Kata kunci: Perubahan, Rebana, Kasidah, Dekulturasi

Abstract

Ada kebutuhan untuk melakukan formulasi di dalam teori dasar suara dan pengembangan agar dalam pembuatannya menjadi referensi bagi guru seni budaya di kota Semarang, dalam bentuk  pengembangan teknik dan dokumentasi  media rekam dan cetak dalam rangka memungkinkan pelaksanaan yang tepat dan lebih baik serta dalam penerapannya lebih estetis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang dikombinasikan dengan penelitian dan pengembangan. Pengumpulan data melibatkan reduksi data, interpretasi, presentasi, dan, kemudian, verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya sinkronisasi teori dan pola dasar dan perkembangannya berdasarkan gerakan yang dilakukan oleh guru seni dan budaya dan dilaksanakan di dalam kelas. Pola-pola pembangunan meliputi: postur berdiri,  sikap, insetting dan attack. Pelaksanaan gerakan komando merupakan perkembangan tempo. 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, dan 6/8. Dalam gerakan penutupan, beberapa variasi yang dikembangkan, yaitu MOR, dan thriller. Dinamik, tempo, ekspresi dan fermata dikembangkan lebih bervariasi. There was a need for a conducting formulation under a sound basic theory and development in order to make it a reference for those teachers of arts and cultures in Semarang municipality, in the form of conducting technique development and documentation in recorded and printed media in order to enable appropriate and better implementation as well as more aesthetic conducting. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative one combined with research and development. The data collection involved data reduction, interpretation, presentation, and, then, verification. The research result indicated the presence of synchronization of theory and basic pattern of conducting and its development based on the movement practiced by teachers of arts and cultures and implemented in the classroom. Those development patterns included: standing posture, set attitude, insetting and attack. The implementation of command movement constituted the development of tempo of. 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, and 6/8. In closure movement, several variances were developed, i.e. called, MOR, and thriller. The dynamics, tempo, expression and fermata were developed more variedly.

Abstract

At present, modern "kasidah" music has been known as a type of music that performs Moslem culture especially of people in Semarang. This type of music has become a phenomenon of musical art in the society in accordance with the development of other Moslem musical arts. Since there are many kinds of Moslem musical performances, and that they have similarities between one another, this study is meant to find out how the form of composition and the mode of performance of the music are presented, and also to identify the form of the music as a whole. This type of music wasnt formerly so popular in Semarang as it is today, but it has been developing gradually through a long process of acculturation. This music was considered to derive from Moslem musical tradition called "rebana" that has been acculturated into a modem "kasidah" music in Semarang. This study also highlights on how the acculturation went on, and on how the music gives benefit and function to the people. To reveal the problems mentioned above, the writer uses ethno musicological, anthropological, and historical approaches. The research method that the writer uses is qualitative-descriptive method as well as library research, observation, interview and documentation for research object. The target of the research is some musical groups of "kasidah" in Semarang and one of them is chosen as the sample of the research object. From the research, the writer found that the form of the musical composition consists of rhythm, melody, harmony, interval dynamics, expression, instruments, lyrics, and music analysis. Whereas, the modes of performance consist of stage production, costume, make-up, lighting, sound system, musical players, instruments, and times of performance. The benefits of the music for the society are corresponding with some aspects such as economical interest, social institution, aesthetic value, and language expression.Kata Kunci : dekulturasi, musik kasidah

Abstract

Meditation is a step to know yourself for the good and balance life. It’s can be helped with used music for media called ambient music. In Semarang there is a musical group that plays ambient music named Dinding Kota. The purpose of this study to describe how to create an ambient that can be used as a medium meditation which has benefited as information for the public to know the ambient function. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with data collection in the form of interview, observation, and documentation. In making the ambient group has nine steps Dinding Kota in the form of contempatation, choose a background, choose themes and concept, choose an instrument, select pedal effect, set the pedal effect, set amplifier, and make ambientpart and ambient notes. The use of ambient as a medium of meditation done using headphone or a headset with a body sitting cross legged posisition or lying down and focus on listening to ambient music. Ambient is a type of music which resulted in another dimension there that may effect one’s thoughts and suggestios with the sound echoing hum’s that can be used as a medium of meditation.

Abstract

Jamjaneng is a music art that uses musical instrumental of kendang, gong, kempul (ukel), kemeng, thuling (kenthung) along with Islam-based religious song. The term Jamjaneng is derived from its founder, Syaikh Jamjani. This music art mostly performed as an entertainment part of wedding ceremony, khitan ceremony, slametan ocassion, and as an art program in the radio This research was aimed at finding out (1) The musical form of Jamjaneng art group “Sekar Arum” of Panjer Village in preserving its existence (2) The Functions within this Jamjaneng music art. The method of investigation was held through a descriptive-qualitative research with the analysis of data validity. The data was collected by conducting observation, interview, and document study. Technique of analyzing data of this research were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of the study showed that the form of Jamjaneng music art were homophonic and polyrhythmic, the melodies were played simultaneously and had a different rhythmic pattern. According to Sudarsono, Jamjaneng music art had two functions, they were aesthetic function which shown at Jamjaneng Festival of Kebumen Regency and entertainment function which shown at wedding ceremony, khitan ceremony, and slametan occasion. Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dapat diintegrasikan melalui seluruh mata pelajaran, tak terkecuali seni budaya sub materi musik. Pelajaran seni merupakan media pendidikan untuk membentuk karakter siswa melalui kegiatan berkesenian. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran seni budaya (sub materi musik) pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 semarang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses penanaman pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran seni budaya sub materi musik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Semarang. Adapun sasaran penelitian pada pembelajaran seni budaya sub materi musik di kelas VII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penanaman pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran seni budaya sub materi musik di SMP Negeri 2 Semarang dilakukan dengan pendekatan penanaman nilai, pendekatakn klarifikasi nilai, dan pendekatan pelajaran berbuat melalui pengembangan materi baik teori maupun praktik dalam bentuk kegiatan apresiasi, kreasi, dan ekspresi. Materi yang disampaikan dikembangkan dengan mencari hubungan atau makna kontekstual serta manfaatnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah Pendekatan penanaman nilai, klarifikasi nilai, dan pelajaran berbuat cukup tepat untuk pembelajaran apresiasi, ekspresi, dan kreasi,sehingga hendaknya diterapkan pada mata pelajaran seni lainnya seperti seni rupa, seni tari, dan seni teater.

Abstract

ABSTACT The state of the Ansembel subject stagnated equipment, in theory and standard of school music ensembles consisting of musical instrument recorders, piano and guitar accompaniment, in the ensemble further added violin melodies to this standard of school music, this was felt to be too monotonous, rigid, less attractive. On the basis that learning resources can be taken from anywhere. Then there needs to be creativity and innovation in terms of equipment, adding used goods as additional equipment with the aim of learning Music instruments are more interesting and quality. The method used is descriptive qualitative data collection observation, interviews and documentation, in the analysis of qualitative data added with research and development, because they have to test, modify equipment. The results showed that the use of used goods around was able to enhance learning creativity, especially in the addition of musical equipment in music ensemble courses, the equipment included bamboo sticks, drum pans, plastic barrels as bass drums, aqua bottles with seeds as Cabasa, while the innovation of musical ensemble equipment is in the form of adding angklung instruments and varied with Ansambel musical instruments that have been there before the results of this combination of equipment can certainly improve the learning outcomes of music ensembles Keywords: Utilization of used goods, Music ensemble.

Abstract

Classical music is not necessarily acceptable to all levels of society. Nevertheless, the Himasikstring Community of Yogyakarta State University has consistently been able to hold concerts with classic themes. One of the goals of this community is to introduce classical music to the community. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the profile of the Himasikstring community and how is the presentation of Classical Night concerts at Yogyakarta State University in 2018. The research method used in the research is qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used by researchers include, namely, literature studies, observation, interviews, and document studies. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Himasikstring actively held classical music concerts and introduced classical music to the public since 2012, and Classical Night concerts consisted of elements of composition and presentation elements.
