Abstract

Quality improvement has always been applicated by the Universitas Terbuka (UT) especially to improve its distance learning services at its regional centers. The objectives of this research are to analyze the results of the internal audit before and after the UT regional centers accepting ISO 9001:2000 certificate, to learn what the benefits of the internal audit are toward the improvement of the distance learning services in UTs regional centers, and to identify the top managers of the UTs regional centers and their staff perceptions toward the internal audit. This research was conducted between March and October 2008 in UT. The research was conducted using descriptive analysis. The report analyzing guidance, questionaires and interview guidance were employed as the research instruments. The research concluded that ISO 9001:2000 had good effects to the improvement of the distance learning services at UT regional centers. Moreover, the internal audit made the UTs regional centers did their best to improve they distance learning services and these benefits made the top managers of the UT regional centers and their staff had a good perception toward the internal audit in UT.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan konsep, keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah siswa SD kelas IV antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing, dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) kelas IV SDN Kebon Pedes 5 dan SDN Kebon Pedes 3, Tanah Sareal Kota Bogor yang sedang mengimplementasikan Kurikulum 2013. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa terdiri dari para siswa yang memiliki latar belakang yang sama, dilihat dari lingkungan gugus dan Kecamatan yang sama, Subyek penelitian ini akan dikelompokkam secara random untuk menentukan mana yang akan menjadi kelompok eksperimen (P1) dan mana yang akan menjadi kelompok Kontrol (P2) Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi experiment, dengan bentuk desain kelompok acak pretest dan posttest. Pada pelaksanaannya dilakukan tes awal tentang penguasaan konsep, keterampilan proses dan sikap ilmiah pada konsep perpindahan energy panas. Selanjutnya, kedua kelompok diberi perlakuan yang berbeda berupa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran konvensional untuk kelas kontrol.Perbedaan mean kedua berasal dari hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus uji t (t-test).Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Skor Hasil pembelajaran Konsep Perpindahan Energi Panas melalui pembelajaran Inkuiri Lebih Tinggi Dari Pada Pembelajaran Konvensional. Hipotesis statistik (1) sebagai berikut: H0 : ?A1 ? ?A2. H1 : ? A1> ? A2. Hasil analisis pengujian hipotesis (1) menunjukan bahwa H0 ditolak dengan nilai Fhitung = 39,012 lebih besar dari Ftabel = 4,016 Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran inkuiri dengan kelompok siswa hasil pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mengetahui kelompok mana yang lebih tinggi dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kedua kelompok tersebut. Pada kelompok siswa dengan pembelajaran inkuiri rata-rata sebesar 9, sedangkan kelompok siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 8,47. hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukan bahwa hasil belajaran kelompok siswa dengan pembelajaran inkuiri lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This research focuses to produce a learning media which is a guidebook of practical learning and complete practical learning media as well as making students easy in doing practical assignments during attending the online tutorial. This research is a survey study by quantitative approach. The quality of the guidebook and practical learning are viewed through the content validity by the expert and through descriptive analysis taken from the questionnaire given to the college students. The number of experts validating the data in this research is 3 (three) experts. Meanwhile, the number of college students assessing the quality of guidebooks and practical learning media in this research is 23 (twenty-three) college students. The data collection technique in this research used two instruments as product assessment instruments by the expert and college students. The technique of data analysis used two ways include 1) content validity and Aiken Formula verification, and 2) using statistics description. The result of the research shows that; 1) the assessment instrument of guidebook quality and practical learning media have occupied valid criteria with the index Aiken score average, which is 0.76, the result includes in the medium category; 2) the quality of guidebook and practical learning media of television broadcasting management show a good result. This case is based on the result of the descriptive analysis that has been done.
