Abstract

Pollution of sea water due to oil spills often occurs. Among them are tanker accidents, explosions of offshore oil platforms, ship operation errors and waste from the petroleum and coal industries. Oil spills in the sea often cause pollution which leads to damage to biological resources and damage to the underwater ecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the process and processing, and to determine the ability of durian skin to adsorb lubricating oil waste and HSD fuel. This research was conducted by processing the waste with variations of time 2, 5, and 10 minutes. And with variations in durian skin size of 0.25 mm², 1 mm², and 9 mm². With drying of durian skin between 1-15 days with 1-30 days. Then the results were analyzed to determine the efficiency of absorbing durian skin. The results of STTAL laboratory studies showed an increase in durian skin mass after undergoing a process of adsorption of lubricating oil waste and HSD fuel. Thus, the optimal durian skin time and size obtained on lubricating oil waste is 10 minutes with a surface area of 1 mm², mass of 4 grams in drying for 1-30 days. With efficiency of 82.54%. Whereas the HSD fuel is 10 minutes with a surface area of 0.25 mm², mass 4 grams on drying for 1-15 days. With an efficiency of 86.03%.Keywords: Durian skin, adsorption of lubricating oil waste, HSD

Abstract

By the development of the time, diesel fuel is made from petroleum which is decreasing in number. Besides that, the emissions produced from burning diesel fuel can also cause air pollution. One of the methods used to minimize the use of diesel fuel and air pollution is by using emulsion fuel. therefore, a precautionary measure is required in preparing a reserve fuel source for Indonesian war ships. And one of the options is with emission diesel fuel. From the results of laboratory trials there was an increase in density, viscosity, flash point, cetane and TAN numbers and a decrease in residue, Lower Heating Value and calorific value. The performance test results show an increase in SFOC and thermal efficiency, but the power, torque and BMEP have decreased. So, it can be concluded that the emulsion HSD has decreased performance but can reduce emissions from the combustion process. So, it is hoped that emission diesel fuel can be used as an alternative as well as a solution to the limitations of diesel fuel in the future, so that it can support tni al operations in the future. Abstract

Low safety factor in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in handling grenades that fail to explode at the training location can be fatal for personnel and instructors. In a previous study, a stick manipulator was designed. However, this tool has disadvantages because the operator is too close to explosives. By considering the security of personnel, the authors make "Design Robot Manipulator Build on Unmanned Grenade Tamer (UGT)". This tool is used to assist trainers and instructors in the implementation of laying explosives as a procedure for handling grenades that do not explode properly in position. The mechanism of this tool is made to complement the base tank that is driven by a robot remote control system that moves using a servo motor as an actuator. The total length of the horizontal arm stretch is 780 mm and 795 mm for the vertical stretch. Arm foundation is designed capable of rotating as far as 120⁰. Link 1 moves 150 °, link 2 150 °, Link 3 1801, and wrist roll 90 °. The force acting on link 1 is 16.758N in the direction of the y-axis parallel force, torque is 5.5 Nm and with an angular acceleration of 142rad / s². On the link 2 force of 16.66N, the direction of the force is parallel to the y axis, torque of 9.4 Nm and angular acceleration of 496rad / s². And on the 3 link force of 14.7N of torque of 3.3 Nm and angular acceleration of 293rad / s². The gripper gripping force is 1,158 kgf which is driven by a servo motor with a minimum torque of 5.42 Nm. Keywords: Robot arm, Torque, Gripper

Abstract

The border area of ​​a country is the main capital of a country's sovereignty. One of the islands whose position is at the forefront and at the same time the outermost border of Indonesia and other countries is Alfa Island. The research method used in this research is to use the integration of strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat (SWOT) analysis methods and the Borda method in formulating a strategy for developing the empowerment of the Miangas Island marine defence area. SWOT analysis is used to formulate and provide alternatives in the development strategy of developing a strategy for the empowerment of the Alfa Island marine defence area. And the Borda method is used to determine priorities for the selected strategy. With this research, it is hoped that it can encourage and become government input in managing the policies of the outermost islands by giving special attention to minimizing vulnerabilities and potential threats and increasing the positive potential that already exists on Alfa Island. Based on the research results, obtained 6 strategies. The weight calculation results show that the WO 1 strategy has the highest weight and is a priority strategy, which is to take advantage of the Indonesian Navy's MEF policy opportunities by increasing the Posal Alfa Capability that supports active patrols and sea operations of Posal Alfa.
