Abstract

This study is intended to find the influence of the Multimedia Flash and VCD in the teaching and learning of plant movement that used POE learning model overviewed from verbal ability and student‘s creativity. The research took 2nd graders of SMP Nuris Semarang. The research took place in the beginning of the second semester of 2011/2012 academic year. There were two classes selected at Nuris junior high school as research groups. The research instruments were in the forms of lesson plan, teaching-learning materials, students activity sheets, observation sheets, tests. The influence of Multimedia Flash and VCD on the students‘ learning results and data’s were analysed by ANOVA with three way analysis of variances. The study showed that (1) there were no effect of the use of Multimedia Flash and VCD with POE learning model, (2) there were an effect of verbal ability on affective and psychomotor aspect, (3) there was no effect of creativity for achievement affective and psychomotor aspect, but there is an influence of cognitive aspect, (4) there was no interaction between Multimedia Flash and VCD with verbal ability on achievement affective and psychomotor aspect, but there is an interaction influence for cognitive aspect, (5) there was an interaction on creativity with Multimedia Flash and VCD from cognitive and affective aspect, (6) there were no interaction between verbal ability and creativity of students, (7) there were no interaction between Multimedia Flash and VCD, verbal ability and creativity for cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Keywords: Media Education, Verbal Ability, Creativity and Plants Movement

Abstract

Faujasit disintesis dari abu layang secara hidrotermal dalam larutan alkali pada temperature 100oC melalui perlakuan refluks dengan HCl 5M dan peleburan dengan NaOH (rasio berat NaOh/abu layang = 1,2). Kinetika pembentukan faujasit dikaji dengan memvariasi waktu hidrotermal 0-120 jam sedangkan faujasit hasil sintesis dari abu layang diuji kestabilan termalnya pada temperatur 400-900oC. Kestabilan termal faujasit dari abu layang dibandingkan dengan zeolit Y perdagangan. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan metoda difraksi sinar-X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faujasit terbentuk melalui pelarutan komponen penyusun abu layang seperti kuarsa, mullit dan aluminosilikat amorf (waktu hidrotermal 0- 3 jam) membentuk faujasit (waktu hidrotermal 6-48 jam). Setelah waktu hidrotermal 48 jam, faujasit mengalami transformasi fasamenjadi zeolit P dan akhirnya membentuk hidroksisodalit secara sempurna setelah waktu 120 jam. Pola difraksi sinar-X menunjukkan bahwa kestabilan termal faujasit hasil sintesis dari abu layang relative lebih rendah daripada zeolit Y perdagangan. Faujasit hasil sintesis dari abu layang berubah menjadi fasa amorf pada temperatur 800oC sedangkan zeolit Y perdagangan berubah menjadi fasa amorf pada temperatur 900oC.

Abstract

Zeolite synthesis from coal fly ash PLTU Tanjung Jati Japara was conducted by hydrothermal alkali. Preparation was done on fly-ash that has been refluxed with 1M of HCl and without refluxed. NaOH with certain concentration (2, 3, and 4M) was mixed with coal fly-ash by ratio 10 ml each 1 gram of fly ash into Teflon tube 100 ml at autoclave stainless-steel. Then, autoclave was heated on the oven at temperature of 120-1600C. Synthetic zeolite ouput was qualitative tested by using infrared spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction, and SEM. The result showed that NaOH concentration, temperature, and hydrothermal alkali period of coal fly ash was affecting characterization of zeolite ouput. The temperature which use for optimally hydrothermal processes exist on range 140 –160oC. The increase of temperature causes improving crystallization of zeolite products. Hydrothermal synthetic product from fly ash is alumina-silica compound which are a mixture of some crystals such as P zeolite, Y zeolite, sodalite, mullite, and quartz.

Abstract

Hydrolysis of clay from Capkala with variation of chloride acid concentratios has been done. Hydrolysis of clay has been conducted by reacting clay in HCl with stirring during 24 hours. Hydrolysis was conducted in several variations of HCl concentration at room temperature. Hydrolyzed clay was characterized by the Atomic Absorption Spectophotometer, Infrared Spectophotometer, and X-ray Diffractometer. The analysis of Spectophotometer of Atomic Absorption was not showed the decreasing of aluminum content of hydrolized clay which is not the extrication of aluminum metal from clay structure. Infrared spectra from hydrolized clay was not showed the eliminated of absorption peak for Al-OH bonds in octahedral layer. Diffractograms of hydrolized clay was not showed the changing angle of 2θ but figuring the increase of intensity of diffraction peak which indicates discharge of pollutant metals from clay structure.

Abstract

AbstrakSintesis organolempung dari bentonit alam Indonesia telah berhasil dilakukan. Bentonite alam yang digunakan untuk bahan dasar organolempung dipilih dari tiga sampel yang berasal deposite di Sukabumi, Pontianak, dan Pacitan. Spektroskopi FTIR, XRD dan SEM serta kuantifikasi kapasitas tukar kation (KTK) digunakan untuk menganalisis dan menentukan kualitas sampel yang diperiksa. Bentonite dari Pacitan dipilih karena memiliki kandungan montmorillonite tertinggi yakni 71% dan KTK sebesar 77 meq/100g. Selanjutnya, material bentonite terpilih digunakan untuk sintesis organolempung. Surfaktan kationik CTMABr digunakan sebagai pengubah muatan permukaan lempung untuk meningkatkan karakteristik hidrofobik permukaan lempung. Oganolempung hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, TGA dan FTIR. Organolempung hasil sintesis menunjukkan spasi antarlapis sebesar 18 – 39 Å. Thermogram TGA menunjukkan bahwa organoclay hasil sintesis memiliki dua kali pelepasan massa CTMABr yang berkorelasi dengan posisi lokasi CTMABr pada dua lokasi yang berbeda. Data-data tersebut memberikan informasi keberhasilan sintesis organolempung berbahan dasar bentonit alam Indonesia menggunakan CTMABr sebagai pemodifikasi permukaan.AbstractSynthesis and Characterization Organoclay from Indonesian BentoniteSynthesis organoclay from Indonesian natural bentonite from Indonesia has been carried out. Natural bentonite has been chosen from three samples from Sukabumi, Pontianak and Pacitan deposites. The FTIR, XRD, SEM spectroscopy and quantification of CEC (cation exchange capacity) techniques were employed to analyze the quality of these samples. Bentonite from Pacitan was chosen as the finest quality of bentonite, because it has bot the highest montmorillonite content i.e 71% and the highest CEC i.e 77 meq/100 g. Furthermore, the bentonite was used as material for organoclay synthesis. Cationic surfactant of CTMABr has been used as surface modifier to improve the hydrophobic properties of clay. The organoclay was then characterized by using XRD, TGA and FTIR. The organoclay has d-spacing of around 18-39 Å. TGA thermogram show that the organoclay has two differences of CTMA group dissociation temperature from the clay surface due to differences of CTMA group location. These data show that organoclay succesfully synthesized from natural Indonesian bentonite and CTMABr as surface modifier.Keywords: Organoclay, Natural Bentonite

Abstract

Hotel is a residence particularly for tourist and businessman to spend their time. Hotel The Westin Jakarta is one of hotels which located at M.H Thamrin street that has primary function as hotel andappartement/office. For the aim needs an installation and distribution design of electrical power well. Settingup for electrical circuitry which appropriate with Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2000 in orderthat electrical installation effort carry out well to guarentee job safety and environment. The study of installation and distribution design of electrical power at Hotel The Westin Jakartaintends to describe about an installation and distribution electrical power that will be used in Hotel TheWestin Jakarta appropriate with PUIL 2000. Methods of investigation are (1) Documentation (2) Interview (3)librarywork. Based on analysis of data was obtained installation and distribution design that agree with PUIL2000 about 93,36% from three categories are analyzed they are cross-sectional area of cable, rated current ofelectrical devices, and choosing of protection conductor. Based on analysis data, it can be conclude that (1) installation and distribution design of electricalpower of The Westin Jakarta Hotel has appropriated PUIL 2000 because it has been completed gambarsituasi, gambar instalasi, one line diagram, gambar rinci, tabel bahan instalasi and uraian teknis. (2) Allpower cable has KHA upon the load current flows, for choosing the rating current of protection device hasappropriate, so, if the disruption happen in one of the panel it is not interfere with other panel. (3) There isdeviation PUIL 2000 in choosing of protection conductor about 18,9%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam keterampilan mengolah data melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran drill berbantuan multimedia interaktif di SMA Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 21 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis kuantitaif dan kualitatif Hasil penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kompetensi siswa pada siklus I rata-rata nilai keseluruhan yaitu 62,85. Pada siklus II rata-rata nilai untuk seluruh siswa yakni 80. (2) Aktivitas belajar siswa untuk siklus I mememperoleh rata-rata skor 72,2% dengan kriteria pembelajaran cukup baik. Untuk siklus II, diperoleh nilai rata-rata skor 84,6% dengan kriteria baik. The purpose of this research for increasing the activity and the result of student learning in skill data process implementing of drill method of learning by using interactive multimedia at SMA Walisongo Semarang. The research is action class research. The population of this research are students in eleventh grade of SMA Walisongo, the sample of the research are students in XI IPA that consist of 21 students. The techniques of collecting data are observation, test, and documentation. While the data analysis used quantitative and qualitative research. The result of the research in cycle one shows that: (1) Competency of student at cycle one the all mean values are 62.85. And the cycle two the mean values for all students are 80. (2). Students learning activity for cycle one get mean score are 72.2% with good enough criteria. And then cycle two, the mean score are 84.6% with good criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi siswa SMP Negeri 2 Patebon melalui penerapan model student facilitator and explaining materi Microsoft excel, mengetahui peningkatan sikap belajar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Patebon melalui penerapan model student facilitator and explaining materi Microsoft excel, dan mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Patebon melalui penerapan model student facilitator and explaining materi Microsoft excel. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent control group pretest-postest. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, kuesioner, dan lembar tes pretest posttest. Dari hasil analisis data, didapat hasil motivasi pada kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 43,55 menjadi 78,22, besarnya peningkatan diperoleh dari uji gain yaitu 0,61 dengan kategori sedang. Sedangkan hasil sikap belajar kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 48,75 menjadi 73,12 untuk besarnya peningkatan sikap diperoleh dari uji gain yaitu 0,48 dengan kategori sedang. pada nilai rata-rata test hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 82,13 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 76,22. Untuk meningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dilihat dari uji gain. Dari uji gain pada kelas eksperimen peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif berkategori sedang. persentase skor pada aspek psikomotorik kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,31% sedangkan kelas kontrol 70%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model student facilitator and explaining mampu meningkatkan motivasi, sikap dan hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Patebon. Saran berdasarkan keberhasilan pencapaian dari penerapan model student facilitator and explaining dalam proses pembelajaran ddapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran disekolah dan kepada peneliti berikutnya untuk lebih mengembangkan dan mengeksplorasikan kembali penerapan model student facilitator and explaining pada proses pembelajaran berikutnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement of student learning outcomes using the GI compared to students who use the learning with lectures in knowing the functions of Microsoft Excel menu and icons. The method used is a method of quantitative experiments. The study population was class VIII SMP N 15 Semarang year 2015/2016. The research sample is selected by purposive sampling, the chosen class is a class I as an experimental class VIII and VIII F as the control class. The results showed an average of learning outcomes experimental class 78.75 and control class 71.75. The conclusions in this penelitiam is the value of student learning outcomes in the classroom experiments using model GI-assisted e-modules in the basic competencies identify the function menu and icons microsoft excel increased better than the value of learning outcomes in the control class with a lecture. Suggestions in this study, GI-assisted learning method e-modules can be recommended to improve student learning outcomes for GI to make students more active and e-modules can be a student guide that facilitates the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes SMPN 2 Ungaran through the application of Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategies on the subjects of ICT Class VIII Junior High School 2 Ungaran. This research is classified as quasi-experimental research with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study are all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Ungaran totaling 298 students. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with F VIII class as the experimental class and I class VIII as the control class with the number of 68 students. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test test and n-gain test. The results showed that increased cognitive achievement of students in the experimental class is greater than the control class with n-gain experimental class > n-gain control class with 0.74> 0.62. In addition, there is an increased learning outcomes in the affective and psychomotor aspects of the experimental class larger than the control class. This shows that Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategies better than conventional learning. Suggestions based on the achievement of the implementation of Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategies in the learning process which can be used as an alternative in implementing learning in school and to the subsequent researchers to further develop the application of learning strategies Practice Rehearsal Pairs on subsequent learning process.
