Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the quality of the learning process and improve the skills to write poetry at writing activity in class VII E SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta year 2015/2016. The results showed an increase in the quality of the learning process in the first cycle with the average value of the performance of teachers is 72 and the second cycle is 83, the average value of the performance of students in the first cycle and the second cycle is 70.85. Students’ kills in writing poetry is on increase, the students’ passing rate in the first cycle is 64 % with a mean value of 78 and the students’ passing rate in the second cycle is 92% with a mean value of 82. This is concluded that the implementation model of snowball throwing and said media tree can improve learning skills of writing poetry class VII E SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

Literature is a media that is capable of providing learning  about the personality and the character education of the person . Because literature has a positive value or a message that can be taken by the readers. This research was  descriptive qualitative study. The data in this research was the paragraph contained in the novel Entrok by Okky Mandasari and the data sources were novel and the reference books are relating to the research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, the data collecting technique used are 3 techniques namely; read technique, notes technique, and interview technique. The Validity of the technique used in this research is data triangulation  The data analysis in this research is content analysis. The purpose of this research founds: 1)aspects of personality of the main character in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari based on the theory of psychology personality by Sigmund Freud, 2) The education character’s value in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari, 3) the relevance of the characters personality and the education character’s value in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari with the literature education in the college. The result of this research were: 1) there are two main characters namely; Sumarni and Rahayu, 2) the main characters have the aspects of personality that refered on the sigmund freud’s theory namely; id, ego, superego, 3) the main characters have the education character’s value especially hard work, 4) the researcher  found that this novel and the result of this research can be relevance in the  learning of literature in the college.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to improve students the quality of learning process and improving skill of writing short stories text skills. The subject of the study was student class VII D and a teacher in SMP Negeri 1 Juwana. The application of Experiential Learning Method and audiovisual media are to improve the quality of learning process and improving skill of writing short stories text and changing behaviors, religious and social attitudes of students to be better. This research shaped Classroom Action Research. Techniques of data collection is done by observation, interviews, tests and document analysis. The research process is performed in two cycles. Every cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was the class VII D total students is 32 and teachers as collaborators. Data collection technique are observation, interview, test and document analysis. The validity of the data used triangulation techniques and review the informant. Data analysis used comparative analysis techniques and technical descriptions of critic analysis. The result of this research shows Experiential Learning Method and audiovisual media through can be used for improving the learning-process quality in writing short story text and improving skill of writing short story text. The conclusion of this research is implementing Experiential Learning method and audiovisual media can improve the learning-process quality and skill of writing short stories of VII D students in SMP Negeri 1 Juwana.

Abstract

Artikel hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kepribadian moral ideal anak yang terdapat pada cerita dalam Majalah Bobo dan Harian Kompas. Kajiannya dilakukan secara kritis untuk menemukan dan mengungkapkan kepribadian moral yang diidealkan cerita anak. Hal ini terjadi karena hakikat cerita anak selalu merepresentasikan kepribadian moral ideal melalui tokohtokohnya. Kepribadian moral ideal dalam cerita anak merupakan representasi atas kenyataan problematika moral anak secara sosial. Cerita anak kemudian merepresentasikan kepribadian moral ideal sebagai wujud perannya dalam mengatasi problematika moral anak tersebut. Kepribadian moral ideal anak dalam cerita anak pada Majalah Bobo dan Harian Kompas memosisikan (1) anak yang menjadi bagian keluarga adalah anak-anak yang penyayang dan patuh; (2) anak sebagai siswa dalam konteks kehidupan sekolah kepribadian moral idealnya adalah anak yang bertanggung jawab dan kerja keras; (3) anak sebagai teman dalam kehidupan persahabatan, kepribadian moral idealnya adalah anak yang bersahabat; (4) anak sebagai anggota masyarakat, kepribadian moral yang diidealkan adalah anak yang pemberani.Article of the results of this studydescribes the child ideal moral personality which is found in stories on Bobo Magazine and Kompas Daily. Its studies were conducted critically to discover and express moral personality which is idealized of the child’s story. This happens because the nature of the child’s story always represents the ideal moral personality through its characters. The ideal moral personality in the children’s story is a representation of the moral problems of children according to social. Children’s stories then represent the ideal moral as a manifestation of its role in overcoming the children moral problems. The ideal moral personality of the child in the children’s story on Bobo Magazine and Kompas Daily positioned (1) the child who is part of the family is the compassionate and obedient children; (2) children as students in the context of moral school life are responsible children and hard work; (3) the child as a friend in a friendship life, the ideal moral personality is a friendly child; (4) the child as a member of society, the idealized moral personality is a brave child.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the development of scientific writing model based on PARMI. The stages included: creating prototypes; and developing models through four stages, focus group discussions, experts’ considerations, limited trials, and extensive trials. The research involved students and lecturers from STAIB (Islamic Bunga Bangsa Institute), STAIC (Islamic Institute of Cirebon), STAIMA (Islamic Institute of Ma’had Ali), and ISIF (Fahmina Institute of Islamic Studies) between July and December 2014. In these model included a philosophical foundation, either a concept or a principal; its application; and its effects. It finds that based on expert judgment, this model is feasible to be developed and piloted. The results of the limited trials provide some improvement, especially on the application of PARMI. Based on the results of extensive trials it can be concluded that PARMI can improve students’ ability in scientific writing.

Abstract

Melalui surat undangan untuk menjadi pembicara dalam rangka Seminar Nasional di Universitas Kuningan saya diberi tahu bahwa seminar ini mengangkat tema “Berliterasi dengan Bahasa dan Sastra.” Sekurang-kurangnya ada dua kata kunci dalam tema tersebut, yaitu “berliterasi” dan “bahasa dan sastra”.Selain itu, ada satu kata antara kedua kata kunci tersebut, yakni kata dengan yang berarti „menggunakan suatu alat atau media. Tatakala dibaca secara lengkap, tema itu kurang lebih dapat dimaknai berliterasi dengan menggunakan bahasa dan sastra (baca: bahasa dan sastra Indonesia) sebagai sarananya.Kata literasi itu sendiri sering diartikan sebagai sebuah kemampuan membaca dan menulis atau sering digunakan untuk mengacu konsep melek aksara atau keberaksaraan. Seturut dengan itu, berliterasi mengacu pada konsep aktivitas membaca atau menulis atau berkemampuan membaca dan menulis.Jika demikian pemaknaannya, tampaknya diskusi tentang tema tersebut momentumnyatelah lewat atau bisa dianggap selesai. Bukankah kita sama-sama tahu bahwa bahasa memiliki fungsi sebagai wadah dan sekaligus pengembang kebudayaan, bahasa sebagai sarana memahami hasil olah pikir dan rasa manusia yang tertuang dalam teks-teks dan sekaligus sarana mengekspresikan dan mendesiminasikan olah pikir dan rasa orang atau keompok orang kepada orang lain melalui teks-teks juga.Pertanyaannya kemudian adalah apakah diskursus berliterasi dengan bahasa dan sastra benar-benar sudah memadai dan memberikan solusi atas permalasalahan yang ada. Tentu belum dan bahkan tidak pernah selesai! Data UNDP tahun 2014 mencatat bahwa tingkat kemelekaksaraan masyarakat Indonesia mencapai 92,8% untuk kelompok dewasa, dan 98,8%untuk kategori remaja. Capaian ini sebenarnya menunjukkan bahwa Indonesiatelah melewati tahapan krisis literasi dalam pengertian kemelekaksaraan.

Abstract

Literature learning in Industrial Revolution 4.0 era must be adaptive to the development of internet-based media. The emergence of social media helped facilitate the expression and appreciation of high school students' literature. The formal education curriculum in high school should have responded to developments in the millennium. This research analyzes the objectives, functions, and teaching material of literature in the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) and Curriculum 2013 (K13) at high school level in the digital era. The study was conducted in a qualitative descriptive. Data is obtained through content analysis and structured interviews. Data analysis is interactively. The results of the study show that the objectives, functions, and teaching material of literature in the 2013 KTSP and Curriculum have not optimally responded to the development of digital literature era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan 1) bentuk kesantunan dan ketidaksantunan berbahasa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, 2) penanda kesantunan berbahasa yang ada pada bentuk tindak tutur dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, 3) penanda ketidaksantunan berbahasa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, dan (4) penyebab pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa dalam tindak tutur selama pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa tuturan yang terjadi selama pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berlangsung di SMP Muhammadiyah Gatak, Sukoharjo. Teknik sampling penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik uji validitas data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teori.Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Ditemukan 296 bentuk tuturan santun yang mematuhi maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, maksim penghargaan, maksim kesederhanaan, maksim permufakatan, dan maksim kesimpatisan, 2) Ditemukan 48 bentuk tuturan tidak santun yang melanggar maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, dan maksim kesederhanaan, 3) Ditemukan penanda kesantunan berupa meminta dan memohon kepada mitra tutur tanpa paksaan dan tidak menyinggung; mempersilakan mitra tutur tanpa paksaan dan tidak menyinggung; serta memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap mitra tutur, 4) Ditemukan penanda ketidaksantunan berupa mengkritik dengan diksi dan intonasi negatif serta tidak bisa mengendalikan emosi; berpendapat dengan menyinggung mitra tutur; dan memotong pembicaraan mitra tutur.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the discrimination against women in Indonesia, especially reflected in novels Entrok, Maryam, and Pasung Jiwa written by Okky Madasari. Over centuries, women in Indonesia had faced various forms of discrimination that happened because of the strong influence of patriarchal culture, norms, customs, and even religion. That viewpoint then caused men and women to have different roles, both biologically and socially. Women had roles to keep house, family, and children, meanwhile, men had roles to provide for living and protection to the family. The discrimination problem, especially for women, was still the most discussed topic due to the lack of public awareness about women’s roles in community life. This research was a descriptive qualitative research using feminism approach. The data in this research were in the forms of sentences, paragraphs, dialogues, and discourses that reflect discrimination against women. The data analysis technique used in this research was content analysis. The research result shows that there is discrimination towards women in the sectors of economic and social based on the utterances from these three novels by Okky Madasari.
