Abstract

Covid-19 changes human habits, especially the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out offline now must be conducted online. The research was motivated by the students' assumptions about mathematics which were considered difficult. Students felt overwhelmed when studying mathematics. When they faced math problems, students often did not have the confidence to solve them. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the students’ self-confidence through online learning by using CPA approach during the Covid-19 pandemic, in terms of overall and Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). This research was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design on Mathematics subjects on the topic of data collection and presentation at fifth-grade elementary schools. The sample consisted of 56 students at one of the elementary schools in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The research instrument was a self-confidence attitude scale given before and after the treatment. The learning process was conducted online through WhatsApp Group, YouTube, and Google Form. The research findings showed that CPA approach increased students' self-confidence better than conventional learning, both as a whole and IMA. Thus, CPA approach could be used as an alternative to increase student self-confidence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The educational activities of school people’s health online at the Covid-19 pandemic are to increase understanding and motivate the awareness of SDN 3 Nagri Kaler residents in maintaining faith, immunity, and safety in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. By media delivery materials of voice notes, videos on software applications, PowerPoint and question, and answer applications through the WhatsApp group platform. It was held on February 13, 2021, presented by Mr. Ihsan Rizali. By looking at the respondents' responses, who are collected over the google form, and the documentation results of the delivery of material, it uses a quantitative descriptive method analysis of the participants' responses. The location of the webinar was held at SDN 3 Nagri Kaler, Purwakarta. The target of this research is all school members in SDN 3 Nagri Kaler. The results of this service show that school members are motivated to maintain faith, immunity, and safety, understand symptoms, treatment, and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, with 77% of ways to maintain faith, immunity, and safety and 67% of preventive measures.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang telah melanda ke seluruh Indonesia menyebabkan pemerintah mengambil kebijakan untuk mengembalikan aktivitas di luar rumah seperti bersekolah menjadi di rumah masing-masing melalui sistem daring. Terkait dengan hal ini, guru, orang tua bahkan peserta didik sendiri dituntut untuk memahami penggunaan beberapa aplikasi yang dapat menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran daring ini. Dua media yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana pembelajaran disaat pandemi seperti ini adalah Google Classroom dan Google Meet yang mana keduanya merupakan produk yang dikembangkan oleh Google dan saat ini menjadi aplikasi yang sangat membantu demi kelancaran proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini berlangsung selama dua hari, pada Kamis, 04 Maret 2021 dan pada hari Sabtu, 06 Maret 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam sosialisasi penggunaan Google Classroom dan Google Meet adalah wawancara terkait dengan permasalahan yang terdapat di sekolah. Selanjutnya hasil wawancara tersebut ditarik sebuah kesimpulan bahwa, perlu diadakan sosialisasi mengenai penggunaan Google Classroom dan Google Meet. Kesimpulan tersebut kemudian dijadikan acuan dalam pembuatan video mengenai penggunaan aplikasi Google Classroom dan Google Meet untuk para sasaran kegiatan. Selanjutnya, video yang membahas tata cara penggunaan aplikasi Google Classroom dan Google Meet ini sebarkan kepada sasaran melalui kanal Youtube. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan, selanjutnya membagikan kuesioner Google Form untuk mengevaluasi dan tanggapan dari sasaran mengenai kegiatan sosialisasi yang telah dilakukan untuk kemudian dibuat kesimpulan. Adapun setelah menyimpulkan tanggapan dari sasaran mengenai kegiatan sosialisasi ini, maka didapatkan suatu pernyataan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini bermanfaat bagi para sasaran karena dapat membantu dalam menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom dan Google Meet.
