Abstract

The effort to implement Islamic values in the learning process of early childhood education has resulted in various practices. Many foundations, mass organizations, religious, and even political organizations participate in establishing education institutions for early childhood education (PAUD). For instance, Muhammadiyah establishes ABA Nursery School, NU establishes Raudhatul ‘Athfal (RA), private foundations establish their own nursery schools (such as Tunas Melati Nursary School, etc.), as well as what Justice and Welfare Party (PKS) establishes, i.e. Islam-integrated educations institutions of nursery schools. All of the varieties are done to insert Islamic values to the learning process, which is considered to be better. However, the practice of inserting Islamic values in early childhood education is often trapped in two basic practices, i.e. the use of religious symbols and cognitive aspects of religion. To anticipate that condition, this article is trying to formulate a diffusion of innovation in implementing Islamic values in the learning process in early childhood education integratedly and interconnectedly. This means that teaching religion includes not only religious knowledge but also science in the perspective of religion. To formulate the diffusion of innovation, this article applied Michael Fullan’s theory of change as found in his book entitled The Meaning of Education Change and Roger’s adoption pattern. Based on the theories, this article suggests a new formula of developing early childhood education in the future, especially for nursery schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of α-tocopherol in tris aminomethane extender on the quality of Madura cattle semen during storage at room temperature. Fresh semen was collected from Madura cattle bull using artificial vagina. The semen with individual motility of sperm more than 70% was used in this study. Semen was diluted with tris-aminomethane extender supplemented respectively by 0.0 mM, 0.5 mM, 1.0 mM and 1.5 mM α-tocopherol. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed that the addition of α-tocopherol using egg yolk diluent tris aminomethane could not maintain the quality of Madura cattle semen motility, viability, abnormality and membrane integrity of spermatozoa (P>0.05) during storage at room temperature. The conclusion of the study was the addition of the antioxidant α-tocopherol into tris aminomethane egg yolk on the quality of semen had no influence (P>0.05) on individual motility, viability, abnormality and membrane integrity of spermatozoa after dilution during storage at room temperature.   Keywords: Semen, α-tocopherol, Madura bull

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain scientific data influences yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae or the ice cream to the total yeast, pH, acid taste and flavor of alcohol. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Products Technology Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Experimental design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment applied the long ripening starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae 1 hour (T1), 2 hours (T2), 3 hours (T3), 4 hours (T4) and 5 hours (T5). The data obtained were processed by analysis of variance, where there is the influence of the test followed by Duncan's Ganda Region. The results showed that the addition of starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae at curing 1-5 hours give real effect (P <0.05) increase in total yeast and and give the real effect (P <0.05) lower pH. It also gives effect to the sour taste and flavor of alcohol is increasing. It can be concluded that the addition of starter Saccharomyces cerevisiae with a long ripening 1-5 hours significantly affect the total yeast, pH, acid taste and alcohol.Keywords: total yeast, pH, acid taste and flavor of alcohol, ice creamABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data secara ilmiah pengaruh ragi roti atau Saccharomyces cerevisiae pada es krim terhadap total yeast, pH, cita rasa asam dan cita rasa alkohol. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu lama pemeraman starter S. cerevisiae 1 jam (T1), 2 jam (T2), 3 jam (T3), 4 jam (T4) dan 5 jam ( T5). Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan analisis sidik ragam, apabila terdapat pengaruh maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan starter S. cerevisiae pada pemeraman 1- 5 jam memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) meningkatan total yeast dan dan memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan pH. Hal tersebut juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap cita rasa asam dan cita rasa alkohol yang semakin meningkat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan starter S. cerevisiae dengan lama pemeraman 1- 5 jam berpengaruh nyata terhadap total yeast, pH,cita rasa asam dan alkohol.Kata kunci: total yeast, pH, cita rasa asam dan cita rasa alkohol, es krim

Abstract

Abstract on the harcening process of K 460 steel, austenite temperature and holding time plays very important roles in influencing the result of hardening. In this research, austenite tenrperature variatiorrs are 755oc, 770 oc,785oc. 8l5oc, and 840oc with holding time of 5'30',60' and 120'. Then research result indicates that on 755oc. variation of the holding time produce high increase of hardness. For the others temperature need 30' to reach homogeny phase and more 30' holding time make the hardness relative constant. Meanwhile, the impact strength would be varied caused by intemal stress and residual austenite. For statistical analysis with 99oc accuracy, it's found that the effect-of temperature and holding time and it's both interactions make the number of hardness and the impact strength grow significantly.   Key words : hardening, temperature austenite, holding time

Abstract

Blood is part of the body which has 6-8 % of total body weight which include of the blood cell and plasma. Thrombocyte is one of component in the blood which has an important function in blood coagulation. This study is aimed to evaluate the influence of the sex and age of donor on the number of thrombocyte. Blood sample were collected at Blood Transfusion Unit of Malang. This research using cases study whose use to observe the number of thrombocyte in man and woman donor at different age. Total of 40 sample (20 of each sex) whose classified as ≤31, 31-40, 41-50 and ≥ 51 years of age. The number of thrombocyte which determined by hemocytometer   and observe  under microscope   (magnification:   100 ).  The collected data where analyze by unpaired T-test for man and woman one. While Anova whose use to analyze the differences between ages interval both in the man and woman.  Duncan test (5%) whose  use  to  determine  the  significant different between ages group. The  result  show  that  the  number  of  thrombocyte  whose  significantly higher (P&lt;0,05) than those in the woman (245.750 + 76300 vs 201.750 + 61564). The age of donor whose significantly influence on the number of thrombocyte (P&lt;0,05) both in the man and woman. The number of thrombocyte degrees significantly by increasing the age. However for the both sex can donor the blood of more than 51 years of age.Keywords: thrombocyte, man, woman and age.

Abstract

Utilization of local resource (Neptunia plena L. Benth and Leersia hexandra Swartz) as feed ration for buffalo fattening could make cost efficiency, fulfil primary life needs and production. The objectives of study is to determine the Dry Matter Digestibility (DMD), Organic Matter Digestibility (OMD), NH3 ruminant fermentation and Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA). The conduct of the study was in Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Nutrient Science, Faculty of Animal Science and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang by using in vitro method with a Complete Randomized Design (CDR) of five treatments and five replicates: (1)  T1 =100% Leersia hexandra Swartz; (2) T2 = 100 % Neptunia plena L.Benth; (3) T3 = Ration (15% Neptunia plena L.Benth + 15% Leersia hexandra Swartz + 70% other feedstuffs); (4) T4 = Ration (20% Neptunia plena L.Benth + 20% Leersia hexandra Swartz + 60% other feedstuffs); and (5) T5 = Ration (25% Neptunia plena L.Benth + 25% Leersia hexandra Swartz + 50% other feedstuffs). Data analysis used analysis of variance with a significance level of 95% and then followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that T3 and T4 treatments produced the highest DMD at (P &lt;0.05), i.e. 43.65% and 43.26%, respectively. T2 treatment (47.66%) significantly produced the highest OMD (P &lt;0.05) compared to T4 (46.81%) and T1 (45.36%). T5 treatment (5.28 mM) significantly produced in the highest NH3 (P &lt;0.05) compared to T2 (4.88 mM); T3 (4.73 mM); and T1 (4.43 mM). T5 treatment (145.4 mM) significantly produced the highest VFA (P &lt;0.05) compared to T4 (140.0 mM); T3 (135.4 mM); T2 (134.8 mM); and T1 (123.6 mM). In vitro digestibility and fermentation ruminant of buffalo ration based on Neptunia plena, L. Benth, and Leersia hexandra Swartz as local resources can buffalo improved ruminant fermentation so that it is capable of increasing the buffalo productivity.

Abstract

Suyadi, An under sea pipe connection (girth weld) is an area that possibly will get defect. This weld defects have a potential for causing tension concentration, so that there will be preliminary crack. This crack will spread due to cyclic loads received by the structure. This final assignment research is performed for evaluating mechanical integrity and girth weld having weld defect using method of Failure Analysis Diagram (FAD) and it takes a sample of case for South Sumatra West Java pipe belongs to PGN Co.Ltd. FAD is a method, which is good enough for evaluating the integrity of pipe structure having crack like flaw upon the weld. FAD divides two areas, namely safe area and unsafe area constructed by two axis, namely x axis that is stress ratio (Lr) and y axis that is stress intensity ratio (Kr). Stress ratio (Lr) is a ratio between a ref and a yield, mean while stress intensity ratio (Kr) is a ratio (stress intensity factor) between Kl and KIC (fracture toughness material). ANSYS 8.0 software is used for modeling by considering that the defect is in the form of semi elliptic with a/2c variation, that is 0,0469; 0,0938; 0,01406; and 0,1750. The loading upon the pipe is considered as the minimum loading (pull = 8284.25 psi), medium (pull = 41421.25 psi) and maximum (pull = 82842.5 psi). From the analysis result, it is obtained that crack dimension with a/2c 0.175 is not safe upon minimum and medium loading, mean while upon the maximum loading condition, all modeled cracks dimensions cause the pipe is not safe. Abstract

Deforestasi di Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan, Sumatra, Indonesia. Studi ini menerangkan deforestasi dan penyebabnya di Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan (TNBBS) yang merupakan habitat bagi berbagai satwa liar yang terancam punah. Penelitian ini menghubungkan metode penginderaan jauh dengan metode wawancara untuk memperkirakan laju deforestasi dan mengetahui penyebab deforestasi. Hasil wawancara menunjukan bahwa penggundulan hutan di TNBBS di mulai sejak tahun 1960an, lebih awal dari perkiraan sebelumnya.Hasil tersebut di perkuat oleh hasil analisa citra-satelit yang menunjukan bahwa sebelum 1972 tutupan hutan seluas 46.100 ha atau sekitar 13% dari luas hutan di TNBBS telah hilang. Ratarata laju deforestasi sejak 1972 hingga 2006 adalah 0,64% per tahun. Hanya sekitar 67.225 hahutan yang tersisa pada 2006 dari 310.670 ha hutan pada tahun 1972, atau sekitar 22% tutupan hutan telah hilang sejak 1972 hingga 2006. Laju deforestasi di TNBBS paling tinggi di hutan perbukitan (9.01 km2/tahun), kemudian hutan dataran rendah (7.55 km2/tahun), and hutanpegunungan (3.43 km2/tahun). Deforestasi tertinggi terjadi pada dekade pertama (1972-1985), setiap tahunnya seluas 28 km2 hutan di babat habis, kemudian pada dekade berikutnya (1986-1996) deforestasi hanya 15 km2/tahun, namun pada dekade terakhir deforestasi meningkat kembali(21 km2/tahun). Pelaku yang secara fisik membabat hutan di TNBBS adalah petani yang tinggal di dalam dan di sekitar hutan. Meskipun demikian, yang menjadi penyebab terpenting deforestasidi TNBBS adalah penyebab tidak langsung seperti illegal logging, Hak Pengusahaan Hutan, tingginya harga kopi, lemahnya penegakan hukum, dan situasi sosial-ekonomi di tingkat lokal dan nasional. Faktor-faktor tersebut merupakan faktor external yang mendorong petani untukmembuka hutan di TNBBS atau memperluas lahan garapannya.Kata kunci: Deforestasi, Penyebab deforestasi, Survei wawancara, Penginderaan jauh, Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan

Abstract

ABSTRACTTrend and Causal Factor of Deforestation in Way Pemerihan, Bukit BarisanSelatan National Park, West Lampung. Deforestation of low land tropical forestis one of the greatest threats to biodiversity in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park(BBSNP), where this area is the third-largest protected area on Sumatra. Our study is thefirst in BBSNP as integrate between remote sensing and socio-economic survey to demonstratethat the area and rate of forest loss in Way Pemerihan (Cawangaro andSumbersari). The data demonstrated that deforestation activity has been started since1965 in Cawangaro and 1977 in Sumbersari. Forest cover of 1.232ha had already beenlost by deforestation activity, i.e: 579 ha in Cawangaro and 653ha in Sumbersari. Forestloss is increasingly by average rate of 1.2%/year (0.28m2/minute) in the meantime averagerate of regeneration only 0.09%/year. The highest increased of deforestation hasoccurred after politics reformation in 1998. The result of socio-economic survey demonstratedtwo causal factor include internal factor and external factor. Internal factor that islandlessness, price of outside BBSNP land is relatively high and not productive becauseof that low production. External factor of the processes which drives farmer to deforestationis social gap to illegal logging activity, declined of BBSNP forest control and lawenforcement capacity, and boundary conflict between BBSNP with traditional lands.Political reformation forms is the basis for increase external factor.Keywords: Forest loss, satellite imagery, landscape, Illegal logging

Abstract

Peta gempa 2010 yang direncanakan untuk merevisi peta gempa sebelumnya, pada beberapa tempat mempunyai perbedaan nilai respon spektra desain. Tentunya untuk bangunan yang telah selesai direncanakan dan belum dilaksanakan di lapangan harus dilakukan analisis terhadap perilaku bangunan akibat perubahan beban gempa tersebut. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar perbedaan perilaku jembatan bentang menerus akibat beban gempa rencana sesuai SNI-1726-2002 dengan beban gempa rencana sesuai peta gempa 2010. Pengaruh gempa dimasukkan dengan cara analisis dinamis menggunakan bantuan program SAP 2000 dalam model respon spektra. Beban gempa diaplikasikan pada model jembatan bentang menerus dengan jumlah bentang sebanyak 5 (lima) buah. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh perbedaan displacement dan daktilitas akibat beban gempa rencana sesuai SNI-1726-2002 dengan beban gempa rencana sesuai peta gempa 2010. Displacement yang terjadi akibat beban gempa rencana sesuai peta gempa 2010 lebih besar 30% dibandingkan besarnya displacement akibat beban gempa rencana SNI-1726- 2002. Hal ini dapat dimengerti mengingat bahwasannya besarnya nilai puncak respon spektra sesuai peta gempa 2010 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan respon spektra sesuai SNI-1726-2002.
