Abstract

Artikel di bawah ini berisi tentang planimetri elementer, yakni segitiga samakaki dan dalil Pythagoras pada segitiga siku-siku. Dalam artikel ini ditampilkan contoh sederhana tentang geometri Euklides-an. Kedua jenis segitiga itu dan sifatnya dipakai untuk menunjukkan pembuktian sifat (properties) atau dalil (propositions) secara matematis.

Abstract

Masyarakat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) ialah masyarakat yang warganya berinteraksi dengan satu sama lain dengan mengandalkan TIK, sehingga perikehidupannya diwarnai oleh perkembangan TIK dan sampai derajat tertentu tergantung pada TIK.Sebelum membicarakan masalah etika dalam masyarakat TIK, akan dikemukakan dulu apa yang dimaksudkan dengan teknologi, TIK, etika, dan etika perekayasaan.

Abstract

Ditunjukkan bahwa eigennilai Hamiltonan Penggetar Selaras Linear (Linear Harmonic Oscillator) ialah En=(n+1/2)hw , dengan tenaga keadaan dasarnya, Eo=(1/2)hw , yang dapat juga diperoleh dengan menerapkan asas ketakpastian Heisenberg.

Abstract

One-dimensional square potential well is used as a model for quantum dots. Its Schroedinger's equations and their solutions both eigenstates and eigenenergies for he lowest three levels are explained qualitatively and derived mathematically.

Abstract

Reflection and transmission of monochromatic TEM (transverse electromagnetic) wave incident normally on a lossless dielectric slab will be given in the form of a matrix equation. For a semi-infinite slab, the coefficient of reflection and of transmission will be shown to be the same as those in the respective Fresnel relations.

Abstract

Three stories are told, interspersed by two interludes. The first story is about Einstein’s mass-energy equivalent, the second is on De Broglie’s particle-wave duality, and the third is the perennial controversy of determinism versus probabilism. The first interlude gives Pythagorean theorem and Socratic anamnetic questions, whilst the second is a brief account of Philosophy of Science focused on paradigm and values. Through the stories and their interludes attempt is made to give just a glimpse of Physics.
